Brass tacts: place is rundown. Oil patterns are drier than soft sand. Balls - even the few house Columbia 300s - rough shape - whatever. No big deal. 2 stars only for basic upkeep. Minimal. At best. As such, asked to see if there were any house balls behind the counter that were any good - especially if someone is asking on patterns in general. Send towards the back - "new" ball room. Old man - nice at first with the old lady? Didn't listen hardly at all - focused on selling a $300 ball to someone that isn't even 130 avg. Messed up sizing fingers (basic) - then gave me a non-thumb-drilled ball since i hook with only middle and ring. Then the TORTURE. He got unreasonably mad about me not finding the holes correctly - bit weird with no thumb hole. I asked a handful of questions. Then old man - BLEW UP and said i was being rude. Yelling and scolding someone? Wtf? This place was dead well over a decade ago. Even told the front desk about unprofessional old man - "oh that's pretty standard". The dude DOES NOT abide. Life ghost mode. Yikes! Oh and I had one Miller lite in me. Took two trips to the snack bar to get even one. Sell to someone that actually gives a... spare. read more

There is a manager here, his name is Mike. This guy is one of the hardest working people and most accommodating manager I have ever met. He is the definition of hospitality. Mike has fixed every issue and accommodated everything we needed on multiple occasions. Having a manager like this clearly rubs off on the other employees bc everyone Here cleans everything right away, helps in any way they can and are solid people. If you have an issue here just ask for Mike- he is one of those people that clearly loves what they do and puts endless effort into their job and it shows. I am a bowler and have only been to this location one time (today) Bowling alley was clean and all bowling equipment worked as it should. Prices for a Sunday Morning seamed pretty reasonable. I average around 190 and bring my own balls and shoes. Cannot speak on house balls or shoes. They have a pink 6lb ball to offer for the 7 year old that was with us as well as a ramp to help him get the ball down the lane. Lane was medium to dry as far as open bowling conditions. We had soda, cheese sticks and fries with cheese and all were decent. Service was good, alley wasn't too busy either. read more

We had one of the worst experiences at a bowling alley that I've personally ever had. When you think of going to bowl, you think of fun with friends or with family or even with a large group. Well, we went to Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl as part of a youth group outing so this group of teenagers could have some fun after spending a lot of time sitting in a small room during our youth group meetings. We thought this would be a great outing for them, I was very wrong. I will admit this group of teenagers were being a bit rambunctious and they were acting like teenager would with their close friends. First off, we didn't know we weren't allowed to sit in the area where I was told a lane was closed due to maintenance so we had family and friends and we went ahead and grab a couple tables since once again we were told the lane beside us was in fact closed we though it would be okay. We were very rudely told to move and that we were not allowed to sit in other lane sections and when I asked (not knowing the tables had numbers marked for the lanes) which ones were okay to sit in he completely ignored my question and stated once again that we had to move. I understand that but there is a way to go about speaking to people but we were treated very rudely in that first instance. Then most of the youth have never been bowling before and their bowling ball got stuck in one of the lanes, as teenage boys they thought it would be okay to go get the ball themselves (obviously it was not) but they didn't see the unsafeness of that action. They announced on the loud overhead speaker that the boys not do that but were told "this is your last warning and if I see you do it again you will be asked to leave" when they never got a first warning and don't know better. They then accidentally got the ball stuck again about 20-30 later and this time they waited for someone to come get it unstuck which was what they should be doing right? Tell me why they still got mad and directed this statement to two of the boys instead of an adult with the boys "There only needs to be one person on the platform at a time, the person that is up to bowl and there should not be more than one person up there" then got reminded not to step on the lanes and "if they continue to act up or stand on the lanes again they will get their game turned off and be asked to leave". They didn't do it again the incident had already happened and they didn't intentionally get the ball stuck again, that's what happens sometimes when you bowl so I don't understand the point of the reminder with a manager alongside the employee coming to direct those statements at two teenage boys instead of the adults that came with them. I will say even with all of this I wasn't too upset I even talked to the group of boys myself and told them they have to start listening especially if it's for their own safety but what really got to me was when we were heading out. One of the employees followed one of the families that came outside just to accuse them of stealing a basketball from the arcade area, that was the last of it because we were consistently being watched the entire time we were there and to be really honest we felt targeted because we were a large group of Hispanics that came in together. We were accused of damaging the walls in there with water and of stealing. We allowed them to search all of our vehicles to prove that we in fact did not steal a single things from that bowling alley and we left with a very negative impression of that bowling alley. I was so excited for this day, I've heard great things from Mike Aulby's but today was a terrible day there and I won't ever be going back. read more

I hadn't been here in years, but everything was clean and well maintained. For it being spring break they did a great job of keeping lanes turned and tables cleaned quickly. The kids loved the selfie shots you could do for the bowling and the cards to load for the arcade games after were a hit. read more

I really enjoyed my time bowling here with my family. I can't attest to the food or arcade experience since we only bowled while there, but the establishment was clean, updated, and in good shape. The selection of bowling balls was better than I expected as well. Definitely the best bowling experience I've had in a while. read more

Crappy lazy unhelpful staff. It's like they're in prison having to work there. Half of the games in the arcade take your tokens or don't work. All the games cost 2 to 4 tokens which is $.50 or a dollar to play. Expensive, not affordable family fun. Cookies were hard. Soda from the fountain was flat. read more

The bowling alley is clean and neat. They clean regularly because of COVID. They have birthday party there, they are a lot of fun. The staff is great and helpful. The lanes are good and I have fun bowling there. Way better than the other bowling centers in Lafayette. Would give 6 starts if I could. read more

I must voice a complaint about how I was treated tonight by the management at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl. I have bowled since 1982. I even worked in a bowling center in high school and bowled for Purdue while obtaining my BS degree. I have never been treated with the lack of customer service/focus as demonstrated tonight. I recently moved back to the area. My dad and I signed up for a doubles league that started tonight. We received a call from the bowling center last week confirming that we would participate in the league. We verbally confirmed. Tonight, we arrived at the center 30min prior to our league start time. When arriving, we located our equipment behind the lanes that appeared where the new league would be. I then asked the staff at the counter how we could determine what lane we would be assigned. I was told that a league meeting was starting in the banquet room. I walked into the meeting as it was starting. I sat through the meeting. At the end, I approached the chairman of the meeting to find out what lane we would be assigned. I was told that since I was not in the room prior to the meeting starting that our spot in the league was given to another team. I questioned the reason for the decision to give away our spot in the league that we confirmed when the bowling center called. I was told the bowling center has always operated this way. I questioned how we were supposed to know about the meeting and the rule (not discussed during confirmation call). I was told the bowling center has always operated this way. I repeated, we were new customers and we were not informed. The response from the management at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl was indifferent and with lack of concern. I was told, "If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at me." I asked if he was the manager. He responded, yes and also the owner. I've bowled for 2 years in a weekly league (SIA) at Arrowhead, and really enjoy bowling there. The staff is very friendly and the lanes are well-kept and modern. All of the serious bowlers that I bowl with really like it, they say it's the best place in town. Modern, clean, non-smoking, family friendly and they have decent food. They also have a great pro and pro shop. They run a lot of specials for recreational bowling, like 1/2 price games, shoes, etc on a weekly basis. They also have a large arcade area for the kiddos, with SKEE-BALL! Highly recommended! read more

I have got say I am very disappointed with what has happened at Mike Aulbys. It used one of the best places to go and shoot pool, however after a recent trip after an extended absence I discovered that they got rid of all but two tables. The tables that they still had, were the worst tables I have ever played on. The felt was pulling away from the bumpers the pockets were loose and looked like they were going to fall off, the racks were broken which made it difficult for us to get a nice break, and last but least 95 percent of the cues were warped or broken. I will never return to Mike Aulbys to play pool ever again or to bowl for that matter. It is to expensive for what you get. read more

Fun bowling alley. It's a shame that their desk staff is incredibly rude. Have gone in multiple times and heard them yelling at bowlers or being short and rude when answering questions. I'm extremely upset about my drinks. I order Jim bean honey on the rocks. I order this drink several times and it wasn't until the 3rd one I noticed bugs in it. (I didn't pay much attention to the others) I took it back and they poured me another, when I pulled the ice out, I found more bugs in it. I even switched out my drinks completely. When I told the skinny guy with beard and glasses he basically ignored it. Never will return again! Terrible service. The bathrooms are also gross. Covered in mold and smell like a porter potty. Definitely will not come back!! I'm am of Indian descent and the the skinny white guy singled me out, even in this is not a racist establishment. This guy was for sure. Everyone was for the most part was wearing their own shoes, and the skinny white guy, needy looking with a beard and glasses (brown hair) told me I had to pay for their crappy shoes to continue to bowl. We had already been here for 4 hours. I really hope this guy gets fired!!! I have never felt this way in my life before! I wish I could give this place a zero rating!!! So. I booked the banquet room for my husbands surprise party. They don't tell you that you have to book in time to decorate and set up. And the head manager was basically rude about it. Telling me he told me. Well he didn't. The room it's self is great. And the employees were great. But I won't book with them again. Because of this main manager. Also we had an emergency during our event. And had to call an ambulance. I will say the manager on duty that night and the bartenders were great. They even helped with my father in law. But. My thoughts was was we had to end our event due to this emergency. But yet we're still charged the full amount. Idk. Our event was from 7-11 and we were cleaning by 9:30 or so. I would have just thought out of the kindness of there heart since someone had an emergency and it was unforeseen they would have not charged us the whole amount. But they did. read more
