$14.00 Carne Asada Garbage burrito. WHERES THE MEAT??

Inconsistent Portions I used to go to Miguel's a lot however I stopped going because I got tired of the inconsistent portion sizes, specifically the meat that you choose. One day you might get the "standard" amount (which is not a lot to begin with). Then, on your next visit you'll hardly get any meat at all, it's always hit and miss with them and it's usually a miss! I stopped going due to this fact, I've also talked to friends and family members who stopped going as well for the exact same reason. I decided to give it another chance today and once again I was disappointed. I ordered a carne asada garbage burrito which cost almost $14.00, and as you can see in the photo it hardly had any meat! Definitely not worth $14 in my opinion. The food is not bad, however, it's a huge turn off never knowing if you're going to get a "regular" amount of meat OR hardly any! For example, the last time I ordered a burrito from them, it only had 8 pieces of meat inside the burrito, 8 pieces! They need to address their inconsistency issue. They have a 3 out of 5 star rating on Yelp, not the worst, but not good either.

    Plate#3 Taquitos

$30 for half made food barely any food I would rather go to Taco Bell and pay the same for just as bad food don't recommend going here.

    Entry super clean

Service makes everything taste better! Our family has been Miguel's Jr. customers since the 70's. For the most food has always been good and consistent flavor. (With the exception of the Galleria location, their burritos are smaller than any other location)Service on the other hand has always been hit-n-miss. Bryan at the Van Buren location made it a 10! He was courteous, friendly and attentive. What a difference from all those years. Maybe Bryan can provide training to all other locations, including the full service restaurants. Just an observation.

This is posted as you enter the restaurant. Read it carefully and note the Carne Asada section.

Anchos Southwest Grill & Bar: Phenomenal fresh food,…read moreincredible service, and nostalgia! I have been coming to Anchos Southwest Grill & Bar since they first opened! Even though it has been several years since my last visit after moving out to Palm Desert, coming back reminded me why this place is so special. Dean, the owner, greeted me personally, and just as always, the service was top-notch from start to finish. You can't beat those fresh, warm tortillas right off the tortilla press--absolutely divine! Pair that with their incredible, fresh Southwest flavor and the absolute best salsa in all of the IE and OC. And of course, the margaritas are still just as good as I remembered! We came in to celebrate my big sister's birthday, as Riverside was the perfect halfway point for everyone. Even with a party of 10, the entire staff handled our group flawlessly and made us feel so welcome. Thank you, Anchos, for continuing to deliver amazing food and hospitality after all these years. I guess with the theme of "homemade tortillas" they use them for everything including chips. Tacos hard shell, taste more like "flautas". Drinks are way "overpriced" for the size. We will never get an alcoholic beverage again. Table Salsa needs a fast makeover, it taste very blah, very mild and had a preservative/chemical taste. Quality vs. Popularity is taking over.

I'm usually a little hesitant about going out for Mexican food because I cook a lot of it at home,…read moreso I'm harder to impress... But I'm glad we chose Ay Mi Pa for my friend's graduation celebration. We came around 6-7 PM on a Saturday and surprisingly there wasn't much of a dinner rush yet. The place is huge with lively music and definitely gives more bar/club vibes as the night goes on. The aguachile was really good and flavorful. We also tried the espresso martini, which was a little too bitter for me. I ordered the Spicy Soltera and they accidentally brought me a different drink first. They let me keep that one and still brought out the correct drink, which was nice of them. And wow... definitely one of the spiciest drinks I've ever had. But I can't really complain when "spicy" is literally in the name. We chose the Jefe Skillet. It's massive and could easily feed three people. All the meats were really flavorful, the guacamole was great, and even the complimentary chips and salsa were good. The rice and beans were pretty average, but everything else made up for it. Overall, great food, huge portions, and a really fun atmosphere for a celebration. 8.5/10

Very spacious location, decor has you feeling like you're in Cancun, really good setup. Music is BLASTING, there's a Dj and large screen playing music videos and the music selection when I was there was on point! 5/5 for the vibes! We started off with a mimosa, standard drunk so nothing out of this world about it. Chips and salsa were brought out for the table and both were really good! Chips were warm and made in-house so they were perfect. Salsa was a pico de gallo finely chopped. For my main course I ordered the huevos rancheros and that was a 3/5. Overall flavor was good I will say but the dish was a little cold upon the first bite. Loaded with sour cream and salsa, it was a little too much. The dish came with asada (steak) inside and the meat was really chewy and only a few pieces of it. I was too thrown off by the food being slightly cold but otherwise, it wasn't terrible. Very modern take on Mexican food. Service was quick and our waiter, Jose was super nice! No complaints there whatsoever. This place is definitely more for the vibe itself. Good spot to grab some appetizers or a quick small bite, or just drinks themselves. Overall, 3.8 stars from me!

Their Mojarra for one, is amazing with some corn tortillas, beans and rice, and lettuce. The lime garlicky sauce on that one, is what I've been dreaming of. It was THE star of the show. And we also got their wet supreme burrito mojado, with the mole sauce all over it Also tried their agua fresca, loved the cucumber and lime flavor! Great size for two to share, and we had a blast just eating and enjoying the sights laid out to see. Their pickled onions got a spicy kick to it! I loved the added crunch instead of just having the typical hot salsa. Service was great, with the waiters and waitresses checking in on us every now and then, and I liked that we pay first then eat, so we just leave after we're done! Excellent experience as the weather was perfect too, the outdoor seating has some mosquitoes but be sure to go when it's not molting hot outside! After food we got to go on a photo spree and it was wonderful.

Terrible customer service and a menu that doesn't explain their own rules…read more We ordered the potato tacos and asked if they could be made hard shell. The woman helping us immediately gave us attitude and said they "can't" do that because the potato tacos are premade. That explanation made even less sense once the food came out. My girlfriend's potato tacos were served flat/open, while my dad's meat tacos came out hot in hard shells. So they clearly have hard shells and are actively serving them--we were simply asking for potato instead of meat in one. And nowhere on the menu does it explain that this isn't possible. In fact, the menu specifically labels other items "2 SOFT TACOS" and "2 HARD SHELL TACOS," while the potato option simply says "2 TACOS." It doesn't say soft, doesn't say they're premade, and doesn't say hard shell isn't an option. If there's some legitimate kitchen reason they can't put potato in a hard shell, that's fine. Just explain it politely and put it on the menu. Instead, the woman acted like we were asking for something completely ridiculous and was unnecessarily rude about a very simple request. Customers shouldn't be expected to know your kitchen's unwritten rules and then get an attitude for asking a question your own menu doesn't answer. Fix the menu or fix the attitude. Preferably both. We definitely won't be coming back
