I spotted gorgeous Waratah's (which are Australian natives), lots of orchids and succulents and because we were visiting in Nov, also a lot of beautiful Christmas fir + poinsettia. They selection of chocolates, esp the Toblerone variety with honey and almond nougat, was a standout and we stocked up big on presents for folks back in the US. They also set us back only 1.45 chf, so total bargain. We also got some good organic muesli, better than the ones at Avia. We also got a half-chicken for takeaway dinner at 7.50chf (good, but omg. So. Salty) Now, the restaurant. It had a 5-6 food stations (and a free loo!) we skipped over the Italian, Chinese and carvery and went for the hot vegetarian choices. Got a large to go box (14.95 chf) and filled it with awesome zucchini, green beans, rustic potatoes and spatzli (so good!). We also got x1 chocolate torte for 3.65 chf (the cream tasted so fresh, I felt like the cow had been milked in the morning) and a raspberry patisserie that my mum loved. There is an Edeka, DM, a take away bakery/food stand and an apotheke. The DM has better stock than the two other DMs in and near Lago center. The aisles are wide and the check out lines short. This DM offers a full range of Alnatura products as well. The Edeka is clean and spacious as well. No lines here either, ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON! Just amazing. I normally dread coming to Konstanz because of the masses and there is none of that here. This seems to be the center for the "German" shoppers and not the Swiss border crossers. This is my new favorite spot. I will never wait in the parking line at the Lago center again!

Luckily, this supermarket was just a short walk from our Airbnb. The store is well-stocked with everything from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals. We were pleasantly surprised to find a machine that makes fresh orange juice on the spot - my SO was so impressed, he grabbed one right away! I wandered over to the chocolate aisle and was absolutely overwhelmed (in the best way). They had good deals too. So many options! I had a tough time deciding what to bring back for friends. You can pay with either card or cash, and we found the employees friendly and speaks good English. The store was never crowded during any of our visits, which made shopping even more pleasant.
