Unfortunately I cannot give more than 2 stars... we began training in November after an excellent eval with a female trainer. She spent a whole session getting to know our dog and working with him as he has nervous energy (we were there for leash reactivity towards other dogs). Then we moved into group sessions that were productive and helpful, teaching us how to manage our dog. We presented for what we thought would be another group session with the same trainer. Bob (the owner) presented instead, didn't introduce himself or let us know that our original trainer wouldn't be there. He approached our nervous dog (whom he'd never met) and our dog began barking. Bob didn't even know the reason we were seeking training with our dog nor did he ask us ahead of time/review our chart (he later grabbed the chart, 30 minutes in). Our dog hasn't been aggressive to people nor does he have this history. Bob then went on to accuse us of not being able to control our dog, suggesting he would bite someone in the future, saying that we need to muzzle him, etc. This was upsetting as we are there seeking help, not to be criticized. He continued with no direction for us (we had been holding the leash in previous classes) and took our dog to show us that he is nervous (we already knew this information). Bob continued to criticize pretty much everything that we had done up to that point including our size of hot dogs that we brought (didn't have an issue prior). At the end he tried to sell us on having our dog go stay with him for training. Maybe that was his intent the whole time, paint a picture that our dog is terrible and needs boarding/more training. If Bob is your trainer then I would not recommend. read more
