They have EXCELLENT germination I had only one seed out of 285 not come up so when I re sowed a new seed the first one and new one both came up so back to 100% germination! Every year consistently good results, high yields and some the the tastiest tomatoes and peppers I've ever tried! I used to use bakers creek and botanical interests but they were breaking the bank. One of my pro gardener friends recommended MIgardener five years ago and I NEVER LOOKED BACK! $2 a pack versus $4-6 with other companies and the variety and availability of rare unusual varieties along with all the classics is AMAZING. This is my sixth you're buying seeds from them. At first, we started small with tomatoes, basil, and cucumbers. Every year, I harvest seeds from the plants that grew the previous year and every year they are increasingly better. MIGardner was my only seed purchase this year and everything germinated beautifully, upwards of 90% germination rate. Now that it's in the garden, I am very much looking forward to fresh tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, cantaloupe, dill, and strawberries. This is one purchase my kids look forward to every year, sometimes even saving some of their own money for that special treat. Excellent store to order from. I live on the West Coast and I exclusively order online. Their seeds have exceptional germination rates, and grow beautiful plants. I have received an order that was packed wrong. For instance, a bootstrap tray that was the wrong one. They replaced it immediately. They replaced a packet of eggplant seeds that were found to be possibly crossed with another eggplant. Again, they have a warranty on all of their seeds of one year. I had seed packets from about 3 years ago that still had incredible germination. They were stored in a basement, then in a shipping container while we moved so I wasn't expecting much because of the extreme temperatures they endured. The order took awhile, but the bigger problem was the quantity of the seeds. I ordered 5 different kinds of tomato seeds, all of them were listed as 25 seeds per package. The number of the seeds ranged from 18-20, none of them contained 25 seeds. I don't know what is the germination rate. I will update later on. I was happy to see so many heirloom seeds, but was really disappointed with the seeds quantity. read more

As an impatient gardener, I have come to acceptance that I might only harvest 10% of my veggies/herbs from my garden because I neither can wait until the right time to plant the seeds nor I can babysit them everyday. But having said that, everytime that I have bought seeds from nurseries, not all of them have sprouted. Except the seeds that I buy from MIgardner. The quality of their seeds is amazing and the results are always fun to wait for. The owner of the business is super knowledgeable and he has his own youtube/fb channel where he shares awesome tips for those of us who are not very gardening savy! The prices of the seeds are super cheap and their packaging is sooo cute and always shows howmuch they care in their business and customers. I have never been to this store personally and I doubt I will ever end up going there but I consider myself lucky enough to be able to find out about this business and be able to order from their website and plant their seeds and wait for miracle to happen! Their simple seed pricing of $1.99 per packet, with free shipping to the U.S. and Canada, makes for an easy way to order from the comfort of your home. I first learned of MIgardener through their online channel on YouTube. After watching a few of Master Gardener Luke Marion's videos, I quickly became an avid fan of his straightforward approach to organic home gardening. Luke provides a wealth of information about all sorts of garden related topics. From seed propagation to starting and growing plants indoors, tools and equipment recommendations, and of course, growing outdoors, his simple approach to each subject easily makes the viewer feel at home. While watching the videos, I soon realized that the MIgardener operations were right in my back yard, so to speak. After a quick search for their website, I found their address and phone number. This being during the pandemic of 2020, I called ahead to verify their hours of operation. Soon, a short ride up the highway brought me right to their storefront on Huron Street. Once inside, I was amazed at all of the seed packets adorning the wall to the left of the store (a plus to the huge variety is that you don't have to worry about genetically modified seeds, there are none here!) I realized that I should have brought a list of my most wanted seeds with me. During my visit, I chatted with the employee who assisted me with all of my questions. One of her suggestions was to order online and visit the store for pickup. I might give that a try next time, as I was overwhelmed with the hundreds and hundreds of seed offerings presented to me in the racks. How many varieties of tomatoes can there be? Fruits and vegetables of all kinds are included here. Plants to provide fresh spices for your at-home gourmet cooking can be grown from their seeds. Pollinator attracting flower seeds are also offered. Do you really need an ocean to get Luffa 'sponges'? Hint: not if you grow the gourds yourself. Located in lower Michigan's Thumb region and right next door to Canada's Ontario province, a visit to their store can be supplemented by the old-town charm of a port city. A short distance from downtown provides all sorts of recreational opportunities along the waterfront border with Canada. You can casually watch boats and freighters of all kinds as they ply their way under the famous Blue Water Bridge. I highly recommend this business! I've ordered hundreds of dollars of seeds from this company.  My most recent order never arrived.  When I emailed the company they told me to contact the post office there is nothing more they can do.  Such a shame for a small company.  Glad I used PayPal.   I will no longer spend my money with this company as their customer service falls short.  I would rather give my business to Baker Creek & Renee's Garden.  They go above and beyond for their customers no matter the circumstances! read more
