The follow through is horrible. I was scanned for new orthotics and was told that they would be ready in about 7-10 days. I still haven't received my orthotics and not one time did anybody reach out to me to let me know what was going on with my order. Every week I would call for an update and Melody the receptionist would take my name and number and that was it. Finally, I called again last Friday and someone else answered my call, she apologized for the inconvenience, pleasantly placed me on hold, contacted the company and found out why there was a delay in my order. I was really impressed with her thought provoking thoroughness. Hopefully I will be able to pick my orthotics up tomorrow or at the latest Monday. There is no way that as of today June 6th, that I should still be without my orthotics that we're ordered April 30th!!!

I didn't know a bunion could return 23 years later. What changed the most is the boot you have to wear. This new style is a contraption. I asked him if I could have one more normal. He said no, I don't want you moving your foot at all. I didn't have to sleep in it. I did the first week before my next visit cause I couldn't figure it out. The surgery was at the Woodbury center and it was perfect. I like coming here though. Great staff and I'm in and out in no time. I went in mid August to be sure I could get into my winter boot. Although there is still swelling and my feet don't match which I was told would happen. Don't put off a surgery like this. Find a time to be laid up for 5 weeks and take your feet seriously.

I had an epidural on my neck this morning. Yeah, doesn't that sound like loads of fun ?…read more When you have an epidural on your neck ( which is actually given through the mid to upper portion of your spine ) the procedure itself just takes 4 to 5 minutes. You are given the option to be sedated or not. I choose not. 1. If you choose sedation, you will have that drugged up feeling for the majority of the day. You are also required to have a driver. No exceptions. 2. If you choose the braver route, you will not regret it. This I promise you. After putting on the lovely gowns they offer, the nurse then comes in, makes you put on an even lovelier cap that covers your hair in its entirety and gives you a hep-block which is a small tube inserted into your vein through your arm for easy access, if needed during the procedure. After those things are complete, the doctor comes in and informs you what transpires during the procedure and asks you if you have any questions. The nurse then takes you to a what looked like a sterile operating room with this huge machine, and other surgical type equipment and table that I had to lay on. I was instructed to lay on my stomach with my forehead touching the pillow. The doctor put iodine on my back and told me he was going to give me iodine and then I would feel a prick similar to a bee sting. (I would rather have that prick then a bee sting.) After that, he wasted no time in giving me the epidural which I did feel. The closest thing I can describe it is a feeling of a very sore tooth ache that goes deep in the roots, (of course this took place in my spine though ) At no time at all, despite the unpleasantness, did I ever wish I had opted for sedation. It is honestly not that major of a deal and it is over and done with before you know it. My spine is tender now which has been the last few hours since the procedure, and almost feels as though the needle is still in it. When I bend my neck forward, it is sore, but other then that, l feel pretty decent. The staff is outstanding and thorough every step of the way. Doctor Erik Ekstrom who performed the procedure is professional, gentle and quite pleasing to the eye :)
