I refinanced my home mortgage from 30 yr 4.50% to 15 yr 2.49% in 2021. Switching to Midwest. The ppl handling the loan where kinda ,not very good. It was like it was their first week on the job. Through emails there was a lot of stupid going on. One guy said that if my existing mortgage company dont reply to pay off amount , then I'd have to step in? Because they emailed them and didnt get a reply yet. THATS NOT MY JOB. They charge thousands to refinance and want me to do their grunt work? NO! Every question they answered was wrong or 2 different ppl had 2 total opposite answers. After the loan was switched ,my home insurance sent me a letter that my insurance wasnt paid and I was going to be canceled because my mortgage company didnt pay it. I called insurance company and Westfield paid all but 200.00 of my home insurance. Which was stupid. Why not pay it all correctly? So I had to call midwest. I also asked the widest agent if I can pay my mortgage at Genisys credit union who is affiliated with them where I got the rates from and learned about midwest . My mortgage statement bill has Genisys right on top of bill. The guy,I think Jason said " yes you sure can. So I wrote the check and took the statement up to Genisys to pay,the teller said " I'm sorry but you have to mail that in. We dont process payments here". WOW ,what a moron. So if you get a refinance/loan with Midwest dont trust everything they tell you. Some of the ppl there dont know and dont check answers before telling you things that you ask about.They just tell you anything. They also emailed me less than 24 hours before the lady was coming to my house to sign papers for closing that I had to pay my home owners insurance for whole year before we closed on loan. It wasnt due for a little over a month. WHY DIDN'T THEY tell me this at first? Why only email day before & me not call me ? Especially when I was closing on mortgage in less than 24 hours. Lucky I saw my emails that day.I dont check emails every day. I called and they agreed to roll it into loan. BUT STILL,why stress me out like that? read more

The quality of service is below average. They sent important paper with misspelled names and errors, creating big headache for customers. They have ridiculous internal communication. One department say one thing, other dep. say opposite. They called and said they did not receive payment, other dept. said disregard that call we did receive payment. They have forced my loan into foreclosure due to incorrect calculations of property taxes and homeowner's insurance. They incorrectly added an exorbitant amount of property taxes that were not calculated by the county. Once the county made corrections Midwest did not correct the amount. They also added on homeowner's insurance when I changed policies with no lapse of coverage, but they stated there was a lapse of coverage. Then, when I tried to pay my mortgage at the CORRECT amount prior to the charges they FRAUDULENTLY ADDED ON, they refused the payment and returned it. Now, trying to get everything corrected, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE YO GET THE FORECLOSURE DEPARTMENT TO CORRECT THEIR ERRORS! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET SOMEONE IN THE FORECLOSURE DEPARTMENT TO CORRECT THE ERRORS TO NO AVAIL! I sent countless emails and taken phone calls from countless Customer Service workers for 2 months and they have corrected the amount moving forward, but not retroactively to when they added to the monthly mortgage amount. Yet, I can't pay because they won't accept the correct amount and it's in foreclosure...this never should have been the case! ALL BECAUSE MIDWEST DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO CONDUCT BUSINESS ETHICALLY. read more

I have been with Midwestern loan Midwestern loan mortgage for quite a while maybe over a year and all I see is discrepancies heabetsy's headaches problems and staff is so slow at answering the phones I was the 121 caller today waiting for a couple hours just to get through with questions. After an incredible long wait I couldn't believe that they send me back to the original phone number which I called before for answers regarding litigation that they're involved in I didn't understand what they had anything to do with me.. Or some other mumbo jumbo that I didn't quite get. I don't know how long I will stay with this company is this company and this mortgage company because obviously they don't know what they're doing and it's very concerning concerning to me there's a lot of things going on they don't answer questions that you want to know the wait time is ridiculous the people are rude because I'm sure a lot of people are upset with them when they finally get through like like I was. For the time being I will write them manemail and send them information what I need but I've done that before and got no response so I would be very careful going with this company I would seek another mortgage company bank or whoever because this obviously doesn't work for me or or anyone else.. All I see are people complaining everywhere on Google yet on Google, Yelp, Twitter and many other Hey other websites. They charge you $75 to sign up for their biweekly bill pay. They charge YOU for THEM to take THEIR PAYMENT. Then, they charge you $2.50 for every biweekly payment. You cannot just send biweekly payments, say through your bill pay service. That's considered a partial payment - they will apply it to your principle and say you are behind on your monthly mortgage payment. Horrible website, not easy to navigate, not user-friendly. I've been with them 3 weeks and am already looking for a way to get away from them. read more

The tech platform they use is very bad. It allows you to make payments and gives you an email confirmation but then most times does not actually process the payment so you think it has gone through but then you will see later it has not pulled from your bank. Then you are forced to call, wait on hold in long queues and do the process via phone a second time. I cant dump them as my mortgage holder forces us to use them but if I had an opportunity to go anywhere else I would. Hopefully their executive team is not highly compensated for this level of service. read more

I didn't ask . They offer me a mortgage forbearance program for 6 months through emails and electric signatures .with an email confirmation. After 4 months I found myself reported to the credit companies as missing 4 months of payment. But they never sent me the monthly bill !!!!!! B.S ers and layers ..... This is the worst mortgage company I have seen. I refinanced my home with Numark but unfortunately this company switched my mortgage to Midwest loan services and from then I have tried to get a hold of any one in that office and could not get a hold of any! instead, I learned that they are reporting to credit companies that I pay late my mortgage! Imagine I set auto pay so that I don't have to worry about monthly payment and so how can they risk my score by pretending that I pay my monthly mortgage late before they even get in touch with me. This is the worst loan company I have ever worked with. My loan was sold to them. Their system glitches reject your payment after you get a confirmation code, then their statements reflect everything is fine until you look at your credit report. Its unbelievable. I haven't missed a payment in 20 years until now. I contacted their company and they act like it's my fault. It's ironic I pay hundreds of dollars extra every month and they show I have been late the last six months. To top it off, they have a glitch in their system and have been contacting another account about my loan. They probably gave someone else my credit information. Total feakin poop show. Second month is a row they have reported my payment late. The also reported my home loan balance went up 16k. I'm not late on my payment and I don't understand how they can report a mortgage loan going up when it's on time. I had a 765 credit score now it 601. Horrible! Don't ever miss a payment. Even if it is one in five years, they will call you non-stop the next month and every month thereafter. They even call 14 days BEFORE your next payment is due. I'm outta this place now, thank God! They also over estimate your escrow, making you pay way too much! You must stay on top of them and watch everything they do. I've had this loan for 9 years. M Bank sold my mortgage to them and never told me. I have family who also have loans through them. They quit paying taxes, insurance etc. Run! My home mortgage loan with mBank, an Upper Peninsula of Michigan bank, was transferred this month to Midwest Loan Services' office in Houghton, MI. I called MLS' number and was quickly transferred to Customer Service Representative Paul, who was courteous, friendly and helpful. In short order he gave me my new loan number, verified the personal information and set up my automatic payment schedule exactly the way I requested. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again except that they took care of everything I needed on the first call. read more

Made my payment 29th of the month, didnt pull out till the 1st and I called Midwest to make sure everything was ok. Customer service said they were reporting me 30 days late since the payment fell on Friday after 7pm. I told her I would dispute the claim and she said good luck. Awful attitude from these people. Set up automated payments through the site which was weird because it would not let me set it to recurring until I first made the initial payment, so then i went back through the steps and set up recurring. Then my recurring never processed and they hit me with a big late fee. nothing you can do when your loan gets sold, but if i had to pick a service based on how poor the service and customer service when i called and they said too bad unless you can prove that you set it up -unfortunately my emails get deleted after 30 days so i guess document /screenshot everything with these people. I write software for a living and the fact that my payment details for the recurring payment show up in their dropdown and they can't look at their logs let me know this is a cheap interface or they just dont care. where someone goes cheap, your security is at risk so if i were you i would not use their site. read more

Liars! They blatantly lied about my call to them when I was trying to clear up an NSF charge when in fact the payment had been voluntarily deleted by me before being processed in order to change the amount. They stated that the payment was returned to them NSF when in fact I had initiated the cancellation of payment BEFORE it had been processed (within 1 minute). They then said that I had not told them I had deleted the payment once I was able to find email confirmation of it. I have never dealt with such gutter scum before as my credit is excellent and I am not usually subjected to this level of service. It wasn't my choice to work with them as my loan was sold to them by my credit union. I would NEVER voluntarily chose them as a mortgage servicer. read more
