I applied for an administrative assistant position, and they let me know that I got the job. I did the background check and drug test. There was some back and forth while I tried to sort things out with my current job. The recruiter I was talking to also let me know that I would be starting on a Tuesday, and then a different recruiter said that I would be starting at 7am, which was not what my listed hours were for the position. I asked if this was a one-time thing, and they dodged the question and promised more information on Monday.
Less than 16 hours before I was to start, the same recruiter who had me emailed me the information about the administrative assistant position emailed to say that I would be working as a cargo handler, with totally different hours than what I applied for. I refused and didn't show up, and this experience has had negative effects on me and at my current job.
