They have the ethic that is hard to find any more - fix it correctly the first time. Every person with whom I talked was helpful and kind! Great business!! When I had a few issues with my motorcycle, they came out to pick it up for me that day. Repair was great and price was very reasonable! When I wanted a part that was expensive, they immediately offered to find a good used part to make it significantly cheaper for me. (It has worked well.) I have been to midway multiple times, putting up with their slow unfriendly service. Atvs or bikes. I have been on hold for parts for weeks and even months. The unwelcoming staff, limited supply of brands and parts, along with the laziness of this business should turn everyone away. DO NOT make the mistake of spending your hard-earned cash on a riding habit without first getting to know the good folks at Midway Cycle. As a life-long biker from the area who has dealt with every motorcycle business around, both past and present, I can testify that Midway Cycle is as good as it gets in North Alabama. Unless you ride nothing but Harleys, there is almost nothing they can't help you with better than the competition. No other place has done more to keep me happily riding along for over 30 years. I found a broken spoke on my Harley and was told this was one of the few places that re-laced wheels. They seemed to have decent reviews; you're never going to please everyone. So I went out on that limb. I regret it. If you're faced with that just buy a new wheel on ebay. I wanted stainless spokes. Dumb. I also had a quick detach set for my bags that I wanted them to put on. So they get the wheel off and the mechanic calls me and tells me it won't work. I was in a new job where they don't have phones. They have headsets and skype. Anyway I mistakenly hung up on him. It's easy to do when you're not used to the software. It's like a useless window open and when you hit the button you remember it's the phone. I called back and the owner answered and said the mechanic would not talk to me because he was sure I hung up on him on purpose. I couldn't believe it. Why was I calling back? I've hung up on my dentist. I called back. No problem. So now it's adversarial for no good reason. They were right about the quick disconnect system; it was the wrong one. So to make peace I gave them some more business- I said re-lace the front wheel. It was pretty rusted too. I was hoping that would clear the air. Nope. Dumb thinking when it comes to this place. I pick my bike up and it's running terribly. Backfiring. Wouldn't pull at all. Made it to a gas station and gassed up. No difference. So I call Midway and they come out and change my plugs and the bike runs OK. I get home. This happened when it was cold. Now when I bought the bike it was set up perfectly I didn't change a thing. Best running Softail I ever owned and I've owned 3 of them. I rebuilt the entire suspension and put new tires on it, changed the oils, but I never touched the plugs or the carb. They were perfect. So I know they did it. Now that its warmed up I've been riding and the bike runs like shit. Backfires every time I shut it off. Has intermittent misfires all the time. They deliberately changed the plugs to bad ones so they could come out and "fix" the bike with new ones. They told me "You gotta ride these things. You just can't let them sit." You think to yourself they won't touch the way the bike runs. They'll just fix the wheels. Think again. These people will punish you if you offend them. My bike was running beautifully when I gave it to them. For 2 years it ran great. Take it to Midway Cycles and it runs like shit now. It barely ran at all when I picked it up. Don't trust these people with anything. They'll sabotage your bike. read more
