There is a decent-sized dining area and a very nice outdoor patio as well. It was a nice day during my visit, so I sat on the patio. The staff there was very friendly. Their menu has traditional pizzas such as sausage, pepperoni, and meatzilla. They also have some unique Asian inspired creations like Tai Chicken, Mac and Cheese, General Tso's Chicken, Iowan, Crab Ragoon, and Korean Beef Chicken pizzas. They also have soups and salads, and Chinese food entrees like Beef and Broccoli, Stir-Fry Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Chili Garlic Shrimp. And yes, they have some of the best tiki drinks and mocktails around. I ordered a Painkiller and a Waving Cat to go with my Bang Bang Chicken Pizza. It took them about 12 minutes to prepare my pie. It was fresh and hot. It was also so good. I have never had a pizza like that before. It was very flavorful and tasty. It was so good, I even forgot to take a picture of it because I just jumped right in. My drinks came out much sooner, and they were also really, really good. The staff there was very friendly and attentive. My service was first class. I am so glad I found this spot and got to experience it. I highly recommend this place, and I definitely will be back very soon.

The Ultimate Stop for Bikes, Beer & Bites…read more After a day of biking, we made it back to El Bait Shop with some friends. This place is a solid choice, whether you're in the mood for the world's biggest selection of tap beers or some fantastic gastropub and comfort food from the lounge next door. We love it here because we can park our bikes in the provided area off the patio and still keep an eye on them. The outdoor service area is semi-shaded and the service is just as good as you'd get inside. As a beer lover, I can tell you the selection is ridiculous and expansive. If you want it, they probably have it, and from four or five different breweries at that! The menu is also loaded, with choices from both El Bait Shop and the High Life Lounge. Today, our food order was as impressive as the beer list. While I can't recall all the beers we had, the food included a Prime Rib Sandwich with tots ($14.99), the Pizza Burger also with tots ($11.99), the Philly Style Pot Roast Sandwich with a side of potato salad, and a massive bowl of Macaroni and Cheese ($11.99). We were starving after our ride, but that didn't change the fact that the food was all delicious, well-prepared, and served by our very attentive waiter, Kyle???, May. No one had any complaints, and the beer was cold and on time! Overall, we love the eclectic vibe of this place. Its downtown location gives you some great views, and more importantly, you're within walking distance of almost everything downtown Des Moines has to offer. This is a go-to spot for me, and I love taking first-time visitors here because it's so unique and the quality of both the service and the food is always on point. Oh, and did I mention the beer selection is completely insane? If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out, and you don't even know it. PRO TIP: Come here, and before you leave, slip over to the High Life Lounge for a throwback moment. Next time, start there and slip over here for a beer!

Had a sour with three fruit flavors that was lovely, and lunch of broasted chicken and beef stroganoff. The beef was surprisingly tender. Friendly service. Highly recommend this place!

Another birthday stop!…read more Keaire (key air) Sorry if I am hacking the spelling of your name, but I wanted to mention you in my review since you are a ROCK STAR!!! We were originally heading to Alleged Lee's but they were not open yet, but Keaire (sp?) was out front and gave us the 411 and invited us to stop into Quinton's for a spell. We could not ignore her hospitality so we went in and sat at the bar (like we do). Where we were treated like royalty (well maybe not that good, but close!) We just had a couple of drinks but my birthday beer was huge! The place is fun, modern and bright. Big open garage doors let the world in and make the place feel bigger and fresh! The drinks and beer selection is fantastic; offering a wide variety of mixed drinks, the domestics beers and a host of awesome local micro brews. The walls have hand painted murals honoring sone of those breweries, Very cool touch! We will definitely need to come back in and enjoy some food. we saw some come out of the kitchen and it looked delicious!

I ordered the BLT with a side of fries. Mr W ordered the buffalo chicken Mac n Cheese. Spent $39.xx with gratuity and a $1.70 service charge fee. Pro Tip: the service charge fee is an unavoidable fee. And no it's not a tipping fee. Service was ok. Our server was a little quirky but it was fine. Glad that they got us in and out of there on time. Ambiance was typical bar feel. Plenty of places to sit and open space. I can see this place more enjoyable in the summer with the giant windows open and with some good friends. I enjoyed the music that was playing tonight. I felt that was the only thing that exceeded my expectations.
