I was sat down with a case worker (Lindsey) and a social worker (Laura Ann). I was told everything that would happen when he went home and that they were available to help if we had problems after leaving. The problems started immediately and I was never called to be told problems even existed. Everyone seemed to blame the insurance, but when I called the insurance, I was informed of what they needed. I called everyone that it pertained to including Lindsey, and was told by her I didn't know what I was talking about. And that because my father had already been discharged she wasn't responsible for helping me. Thank goodness I am capable of making phone calls to get to the bottom of things, because we now have the ball rolling, more than a week after he was discharged without home health or any of the therapies he needs. I won't post details, but I will say this hospital has a serious issue with follow up. Don't say you will help families after they leave and then just drop the ball. Maybe take a little time to listen to the families or even call them back when it's requested. I've been out of work for almost 4 weeks, caring for my beloved father when I was told I would have help with 48 hours of getting him home. I will say I loved his nurses and therapists. They were absolutely wonderful.

I have never had good luck with doctors here in Murfreesboro and it took a lot in me to decide to finally seek help for my mental health. I started with my primary care doctor who put me on depression medication to treat my anxiety I ended up switching depression two more times before deciding to seek help from Dr Call. The medication had been making my anxiety worse and Dr Call was going to get that right for me. Well after she put me on 3 different medications none of which helped with my anxiety at all, she also was non responsive when I would call the office. I never got a call back when promised and after going to the hospital and still not getting a call back until over 3 days I had to make the decision to cut off all medication once I realized I did not have the support system I expected. The receptionist continued to tell me not to get off the medication which concerns me due to the fact these medications alter your brain chemicals and for someone who has never been on medication like this and NEVER altered my serotonin levels this is a HUGE concern for me. I have seen what it can do to people. Once I received a call back it was late in the evening and I was in a nail shop unable to raise my voice. I was obviously upset to be left hanging and Dr Call's response to a patient she diagnosed with a sleep disorder, an anger problem, depression, and anxiety she had the nerve to tell me I need anger management and I need a therapist which she should have recommended on the initial visit. I am still dealing with my mental health on my own due to being too scared to trust another psychiatrist thanks to Dr Call. And even though I paid for a copay and insurance covered the rest I received a bill when I did not even get help. Again 0 stars if I could please do not go to her if it is your first time going to a psychiatrist it can make everything worse mentally.

And they don't. They never do. I end up going several days without my medicine at least once a month thanks to their ineptitude - and the fact that they respond with a bitter, unprofessional attitude every time I point this out to them shows that they clearly don't understand the effect of executive dysfunction as induced by mental illness. These accusations are completely ridiculous and I had no idea until just now people were being so horrible to someone who literally saved me from myself. He didn't even have to help me at all, (I wasn't a child 22 or 23 the first time) I was at Vanderbilt after I had once again thought I didn't need the many medications the psych doctor from some place my insurance sent me had me on...and then I spiraled.. into a manic phase and then down into depression and tried to hurt myself (one of many times) and wound up meeting the person who would help me find myself again. It wasn't easy, lord knows it wasn't, and he has been there every single step of the way. I have been to the hospital more than a few times since that visit and Dr. Mudumbi was there every single day I was there to see me. Never failed! He made sure my medication combination was finally right when all of those other places tried to keep me pretty much a zombie or asleep. He has helped me get my life back. I am literally in tears writing this because without him I know that I would have missed so much in life. You people are genuine, actual monsters. You denied us therapy, you denied us comfort, you denied us autonomy, you subjected us to infantilizing 'group' therapy (the whole group, from aggressively different backgrounds). - You ignored a girl having multiple seizures. - You ignored another woman having an asthma attack. - You ridiculed, made fun of, and manipulated all of us, but in my case an individual with C-PTSD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. You failed to get me ANY resources, you failed to notice ANY symptoms, you just shot me up with antipsychotics and left me to wander up and down the blank white hallways. That's all we would do every day, by the way! Walk up and down the hallways! That's it. We had to be each other's therapists. Everyone was trauma dumping (DANGEROUS) just sitting on the floors in the hallways, because we (age 18-24) didn't want to sit by the several significantly older patients who were so drugged (against their will) that they slept **all day**. I am serious, all day. They'd just sleep. In the chairs. All day. They'd barely wake for meals. That's abusive! Get them care! What on earth are we doing here? Why was an 18 year old girl with blatant severe DID and trauma being kept in the same room all day as patients who were being held in psychiatric care awaiting trial? That's not even the whole list. It has been 6 months since I was there. I am still suffering from how I was treated. I think it must be PTSD. I am going to see a new doctor next week. I hope he can explain how I can move on. I have nightmares and my anxiety is much worse than when I came in. I guess all I can do is file some kind of complaint. Not with the hospital but with the government agency that gives the right to be in this business. Everything that is written in other reviews are 100% correct.
