Than, if we weren't home during the 30 minute range (earlier than that sometimes) they would call and be extremely about why weren't home and how we were holding them up, etc, (mind you, my mother's last one dropped off). My mother is 90 years old. The Hearts and Hands vehicle is a normal van with a ramp to access the backseat. They would have my mother walk up the ramp, hunch over and get into the back seat of the van. She'd have a hard time getting out of the seat and her legs were pretty bruised up from that daily escapade. Not only that, my mother has Alzheimer's, some days she'd be easy going and other days she'd be anxious. So they would send her home on the days she was anxious. LITERALLY, it was, say, 9 AM pick up, 9:40 AM call saying they're going to return her. Over the summer that wasn't as big a problem, as my daughter was home for the summer, but when she (my daughter) wasn't home, and my son and I were, at school or work, respectively, issues rose, as neither of us could really get out of school/work at the drop of dime. To top it all off, if my mother, even sneezed, they would send her home, "contagious" they said. We would watch her and see if she was sick. Nothing. Not a sneeze. Not a cough. Nothing. Which led me to believe, they just didn't want her there. And there is so much more. Not only that, the place is a drab. Dark. Ugly. Depressing. The staff does not like their job and you can CLEARLY tell by their facial expressions. If you don't like your job, get a new one. This place is definitely not a place to send a loved one. Unless you want to depress them. I would not recommend this place. The only thing I "liked" was that they would pick her up and drop her off, and they would give her rides to places every now and than. Other than that, I regret sending my mother for as long as I did. Horrible Place.

I have not had any issues with this ankle. My second injury was more complicated. I had a torn hip labrum and torn glutes as well as plantar fasciitis. I again saw Alec for the plantar fasciitis. One visit with soft tissue work and a home stretching routine healed this in four weeks. For my hip issues I saw Alec, Brian and Helen. They worked on my pain and strength. Brian was amazing in getting my torn labrum back in place with it became painful. Helen does overall therapy but also does shock wave treatments. These helped relive my pain. Recognizing that I was also dealing with pain from overcompensation all of these PTs worked on my entire torso to reduce my pain and increase flexibility. I highly recommend United PT

I go to the Midtown office of Progressive PT, on Northern Lights, and Taylor Miller is my Physical…read moreTherapist. First off, let me say how wonderful the receptionist, Donna is. When she called to schedule my appointments, she was very helpful with fitting them into my schedule, and worked with me to get them exactly right. In person, she is even nicer, and i spend time chatting with her after my sessions, if she's not got an office full of patients to deal with. I love her. This isn't the first time I've had PT for my chronic, long-term back pain. However, i did not keep up with the home exercises, and of course the pain gradually got worse again. I had my first PT sessions with a different provider. My first appointment with Taylor was more of an evaluation/examination, lot's of questions, regarding pain levels, what goals I wanted to achieve. I was initially, intimidated by Taylor. He's a very tall gentleman, and quite serious-looking. I just gave him the benefit of the doubt on this, because he's a healthcare professional, and not there to make friends with me, he just wants to fix my back (privately though, i thought to myself, "I WILL break this icy reserve") He is VERY thorough, and explains the approach we will take, both physical and in my thinking. And i can see changes already, though my treatment sessions are not yet complete. And indeed, other health issues have arisen during the course of my sessions, where Taylor has to stop me exercising, examine whatever the new issue is, and alter his approach to my treatment. I mean, i was sniveling real tears, when he examined my painful knee a couple of days ago, and because he kind of looked at me solemnly, i jumped to the conclusion that Taylor is going to announce i will need a surgery. Now I, am absolutely PETRIFIED of hospitals, surgery, even the smell of a hospital sends me into a panic. He hadn't said a word, yet I'm crying. And he says "What's wrong?" And i said "I'm not having surgery, and that's an end of it!" And he said "Who said anything about surgery? I can help you with this Wendy" And then he explained what was wrong with my knee. And today, my left lower back was hurting more than usual. He examined me, and took me into a treatment room, made me sit a certain way, did some magical lying me down move, type of chiropractor thing, just can't explain what he did, but there were a lot of crackly crunchy noises, i stood up, the pain was gone. He showed me on the computer that Maigne's Syndrome was causing referred pain, and got the model vertebrae out to show me what's going on. So, of course, we'll also be working on that now too. Taylor is thorough, and i am feeling benefits already, though i still have quite a lot of sessions to do. I couldn't stand up long enough to shower, or cook a meal. Putting socks and shoes on was difficult, and very painful, showering was difficult - i was having to use a shower stool. Walking was almost impossible. Taylor has helped me see I'm not as weak as i thought i was. He has helped me have trust in his expertise, and that he won't hurt me, by telling me to deadlift. I was scared I'd hurt my back even more by doing what he was telling me to do, and instead, I'm seeing that I'm stronger than i thought i was. I trust him implicitly with my healthcare, and i try my hardest to do the exercises he gives me. He is awesome. I recommend him 100%. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of bones, muscles and all that jazz. You will not regret going to see Taylor. 10/10. I cannot say enough good things about him.
