I'm a veteran and I followed him from the VA. They lost a great asset, but I would not. Currently, you have to pay him and submit it to your insurance afterward. That was a bit intimidating to me at first. However, he provides all the necessary paperwork. So far it seems like I am getting lucky enough that Tricare will reimburse me for most of it. I continue to see Dr. Barschat even if there was no chance that I would be reimbursed. He is worth it, absolutely!

Columbia Psychiatric has extremely poor communication as the receptionist rarely answers the phone because they are on a four-day work week whereas the doctor/therapists work on Fridays, and after the receptionist shut the phone off. This place acts as if they are the golden child of mental health help when in reality they put clients off who need help!!! They could simply tell patient referrals that their schedule is overbooked and a doctor is not available in the first place!!! A huge waste of time. Try another business before calling this one. First I do not agree with the 10 dollar charge that they give for each office visit that is not even apart of what you pay to the therapist. This is happens when you do zoom calls too. I also have had challenges with not getting billed on time and then weeks late getting billed for two appointments at once. They keep a card of file so its not that hard to run the card that day of service. Now the five stars which should be more like a million are for my therapist, now I am going to keep there name privet howe very I have been with them now for a year and a half and I moved her with them after the had left there last place. I never had a great impression of a therapist and one that has the understanding with what I have is much more like very rare and hard to come by. It was not by chance that we meet and clicked and I can not say how much I have changed in a year in and half. I have gotten many complaints and encouraging words from many people that can see my progress along the way.
