Live music events are held here and lots of local musicians come to work on recording their new music regularly. I attended their first large event of '24 this past weekend that showcased ten local bands. Each band had their own unique and amazing cool sound! Owner Ryan Turk along with his staff Mike and their family run a great studio here. I'm looking forward to attending many more events while supporting the local musicians in the Jacksonville area.

I met Dave 55 years ago while I was the leader of a band named 'The Torkays'. I wrote a song called…read more'Why Margie Why' and took it to WPDQ Radio and the program director listened to the song and instantly wanted to record it. And through that I met Dave at Cypress Recording Studios. In the early 60s we were the first band to record there. Dave and his unique sound programming allowed for our record to be noticed by the radio stations around the state. With his dedicated work ethic and knowledge of the music industry, Dave is a top notch studio that will never disappoint. This is what led me to revisiting Dave 50 years later when I attempted to find an original copy of my record.

I'm not sure if this location is the original location based on the images I've seen as the location looks a lot smaller, in person. I've visited for an art event, for the first time. The environment wasn't quite welcoming but, I made the best of it as I was there to support a friend. Upon arrival, I noticed there wasn't any fresh air circulating within the building. Many people complained about the temperature in the studio. The studio member who assisted me up the freight elevator was great as I had no clue where I was going or how to get into the building. I believe there was only one unisex restroom there which caused a lot of traffic of people waiting to use the restroom. I'm only rating them based on the building itself, not the event, as the event wasn't of their own event planning.

There's a flipping…read morecool old elevator, for starters; and it feels like you're walking into a studio in New York City. Wonderland does a lot of cool collaborative events and the space is HUGE! Studio spaces are about 400 square feet. There are also some smaller spaces as well. There's a kitchen area and common area as well. There is also AC throughout the space, unlike the other review. Whether it's for an event or to check out space to rent as an artist, this is a cool option to consider!
