I do numerous transactions at the lobby of the MidFirst Bank branch at Tecumseh street in North Norman. Each and every time I am treated with respect and a smile. Everyone that I have encountered working there deserves a positive mention. I went there this morning and was especially pleased with the service and competence of Abigail. She has assisted me many times before but today I gave her a large number of tasks and she completed each of them superbly. I wish I knew more names so that I could mention all of them by name but I have not done that. I plan to do so in the future. If you need a bank that works hard to meet your needs, try this branch of MidFirst. They are tremendous! read more

Holcomb location: Neo Jimenez visited on the July 22, 2026 regarding Business Credit Card. He told me "He would contact me by noon on the 22nd after our meeting". I never heard from him. I reached out on the 29th and 30th for an update. This person for the last two days didn't have the decency to return my call. After I asked for his supervisor then late today 30th he responded with an unfortunate answer. This could have been relayed to me on the 24th when my report was accessed. This Jimenez is inappropriate to be a manager and is unworthy, unprofessional to communicate with customers. Don't waste you time with this unethical unprofessional bank. It's a waste if time and they will give you the runaround and continue with blatant lies. Be direct and treat customers with respect. read more

My card had an unauthorized charge on it which I tried to dispute. My dispute was denied because the investigator that looked into it decided that since I had my card that it was authorized. I was able to prove by my digital timeline / location that my card had most likely been cloned, as it was used in two different towns over two hours apart at an hour and a half's difference. I could not have made a two hour and fifteen minute trip in an hour and a half. Scary that these people are in the banking industry and will not accept that debit cards can be and are cloned. Unprofessional irresponsibility to their customer(s) read more

Midfirst is an Amazing bank! Their customer service is always a 5 star experience. I have been a Midfirst bank customer for over 40 years! Highly recommend! I especially appreciate the Rockwell Hefner branch in Oklahoma City! read more

Terrible just dismal customer service. I would think when the bank makes a mistake they would be helpful fixing it. Not these people if you bank there you will quickly find out. The new online banking app no longer supports real time alerts on your phone when a transaction happens through your account. Very dissapointing to have to log in every time to ensure nothing was processed without my approval. read more

Once was good--now terrible. Customer for nearly 30 years. Overly bureaucratic without the benefits. Moving accounts elsewhere. Poor (terrible) client service. read more

Midfirst Bank just closed our accounts last month. We've been a customer for 30+ years, have had maybe 2 overdrafts years ago, and have never been late on a loan payment. They said we have had too many fraud alerts. I counted less than 10. We had to move our accounts and loans to another bank. Not happy at all read more

This is the most ghetto bank that I've ever dealt with. City National Bank is more professional and more modern. I opened a business account a few months ago. I provided my email address and phone number to the representative who set my account up. She entered both the phone and email incorrectly. I called in three times to update them. Each time, I was informed that my information was updated. Last Friday, I found out that they still weren't corrected. The representative also provided me with a referral. I provided my daughter with the referral. She used it to set up an account. I never received the referral fee. Two Friday's ago, I attempted to use my business debit card at three entities and was denied. I called the 1800 number and was provided three to four different numbers to inquire about my bank card. Only one was correct. The following Monday, I was able to contact someone regarding my card. I was informed that my card was blocked because of a suspicious purchase. I didn't receive a phone call, text, or an email due to four representatives not entering my information correctly. They just blocked my card which inconvenienced me. The bank didn't offer Zelle to businesses until last week. They allowed a limited amount of members to obtain a Zelle account to see if the app would work. Last Friday, I applied for a Zelle account. I had to go through four individuals to find out how to apply. I was informed that it would take 1-3 business days. I submitted my application to the Business department as well as through my local branch. Yesterday, I called to see if the Zelle was approved and was advised that it would be approved today. Today I called to inquire on my Zelle status. I went around and around with an employee who informed me that Zelle wasn't available for businesses. She transferred me to a different department. I was informed that Zelle would be set up at 15:00 today. I called after 15:40 to inform Midfirst that my Zelle account still wasn't set up. I was informed that it was processing. It is 17:30, the third business day and Zelle still isn't set up. Thank God, that I have three more accounts that I utilize. I wouldn't be able to do business. I've kept my other accounts active because Midfirst doesn't have access to Zelle and other basic benefits that I need to conduct business. The app is beyond subpar, the customer service is horrible; and, they lack basic business functions. Some of their customer service appears to be bothered that they have to assist you, and don't like providing their names. The only good thing about Midfirst business is its free checking. read more

I have been a Midfirst Bank customer since 1997. I have been a Quicken Financial software user since 1991 and have never had an issue... until 9/29/25 when Midfirst rolled out a new website. Now.. my Quicken software will no longer work. Now I read Midfirst has been working on this problem since MARCH 2025. In this day and age of technology... this slow of a technical resolution is totally inexcusable. As of today 10/18/25... Midfirst has still not resolved this issue. read more

If i could give zero stars I would. Customer for over 15+ years. They used to be great, but are terrible now. I made a payment the same day a transaction posted and they still declined my card costing me an additional $30 by the company running my transaction to re-run a card that should have posted fine. They post payments slowly and customer service is horrendous and not helpful. You ask to get transferred to a manager and then they hang up on your call. I will be taking ALL of my business elsewhere. read more

MidFirst Bank use to have a stellar reputation in my mind but that has changed quickly. My grandmother has been with MidFirst for 40 years with minimal issues however, the last 2 months have been ridiculous! She had a CD come due July 14th. She called MidFirst the day before it was due and made her wishes known. She was moving to Oklahoma at the time but knew there was a 10 day grace period. We went in during the grace period but they insisted on putting 7/24 when the due date is 7/14 and she had made her wishes known before it came due. We've been told that they got too busy to work on the CD and that's why it's taking so long. Anyway it's a mess. There were so many things wrong with the July CD it had to be worked on by another banker. And it's still not right! read more

I was very surprised to see the reviews and rating so low. My experience the past 4 years has been exceptional. The tellers and bankers are respectful, kind, and honest. They do their job with enthusiasm and make sure everything is taken care of. Mind you I may not have a lot of money so my business isn't influencing how they treat me. Other than being a standard not rich customer. Their customer service line is always pleasant and helpful. I do like going to this location for the extended hours especially since its open on Sundays. They bank can also print a new debit card which is extremely helpful. read more

Great bank. Love the people here. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend this bank.

This review is for the Vio "high yield" online savings account - I opened my joint account back when interest rates were over 2.2% and have been making regularly scheduled transfers along with my fiance ever since. She recently switched her direct deposits to a new checking account and forgot to change the auto-transfers to vio to this new account, so a deposit was bounced back for insufficient funds. I woke up to an email saying Vio has closed my account of 3+ years due to "potential fraud" because at most 2 of our 100+ regularly scheduled deposits got bounced back. I have no access to mobile or online banking, and when I called customer service I was told that maybe I'd get my money via check in the mail, maybe via direct deposit, maybe in two weeks - who knows? It is absurd to suddenly close our account like this, and criminal to keep our funds hostage like this. Apparently I'm expected to wait 4 days for them to mail me a letter telling me what their decision will be, then wait for them to issue a check that I'll have to be home to sign for. Best case scenario is they transfer it to my Schwab checking account within 2 weeks. read more

It's a bank. What more is there to say? They cash my check and send me on my way. Although this location has the "big bank" feel you see in movies, I didn't always get that personal treatment. The place generally smelled funny - a mixture of old people and peppermint. Though there were always line when I went in, they aren't as slow as the Walmart over in Belle Isle, but they rarely have more than one teller at the counter. I do like this location more than the one in Norman. read more

I came in because my debit card had unapproved charges and I needed to file a dispute. Dan was amazing and so helpful.

I have banked with midfirst 30 years and worked at Midland Mortgage when I wad in nursing school. Recently they allowed exempt money (I am on disability for a terminal illness) in my checking account, my son's checking account, and my entire savings to be taken to pay an old hospital bill. While I am waiting to get the money released since disability can't be garnished, Midfirst keeps charging me hundreds of dollars a day in fees. Kris at Midfirst, advised me to get a loan. Why would I borrow money I can not pay back? I will not get another disability check for 6 weeks and it will all be taken by the bank. I ran out of food yesterday and I can't afford to go to my doctor or buy my medications so I am going to die sooner than anticipated and the bank is aware of this because I have told them my situation. It's ironic that I was a critical care nurse for over 20 years and saved so many lives but, because I had bad health insurance, I am going to die over the greed of the health-care system and Midfirst bank. I used to brag about this bank and got my son to open his account there, then his money gets taken as well. Midfirst bank should be ashamed of themselves but they don't care about people. They could have atleast worked with me on the fees they are continuing to charge me. I was also taken by surprise on their incompetence in reference to laws in Oklahoma regarding garnishments. My advice to potential and current customers is do not trust this bank with your livelihood. Do not trust a bank that will allow a customer of over 30 years die. They will definitely kick you while your down. read more

Worst banking service I have ever worked with... I opened an account with Midfirst's online branch (Vio Bank) and have NEVER been able to log into my account. I run into a general server error evertime. I called their support line to open a ticket in August of 2020. After not hearing any updates I reached out again at the beginning of October only to find out that the Support Agent I worked with never opened a ticket. At this point the call was escalated to a Supervisor who opened the case and sent me an email with the case number... I emailed asking for an update in November and got no reply... I emailed asking for an update in December and got no reply... I emailed asking for an update in February and got no reply... I called in in March and was told that no Supervisors were available to speak with (including the one assigned to my case) but that someone would contact me in no more than 24-48 hours... 72 hours later still no communication from anyone at Midfirst/Vio Bank... I called back again and was told the exact same thing: "No Supervisors are available, they'll reach out to you in 1-2 days." It has been over seven months and not only do I have no access to my ONLINE ONLY bank account, but customer service is completely unresponsive and has made zero effort fix the issue or even just reply to an email or phone call. I am a customer service call center supervisor myself and I have never seen anything like this, frankly it's embarassing. read more

This is THE worst bank to deal with in terms of customer service. Absolutely horrible. They hide behind the blanket statement of "personal provacy laws" and "policy" when the reality is they simply do not want to assist you or are mentally incapable of handling the request. I wish that I could hide behind blanket statements that allowed me to not do my job. Must be nice... as your customer base slowly deteriorates into nothing... lol read more

Midfirst online division VIO is a joke (no be nice and if it were not a bank). They have a deceptive and unprofessional style of doing business. I opened an account online and had nothing but problems. Some transactions were rejected without notice and without explanation. They are unable to solve the problems that THEY caused. When talking to them they give you contradictory or nonsensical explanations. Sometimes they simply refuse to give you any reason. They also refuse to give you their names to follow up or to connect you with a manager. They give you a PO Box for correspondence. They held our money hostage. I am still trying to see where my money is. I am afraid they collect unnecessary private information about their customers that can one day be used against you by these scammers or others that acquire it because of their incompetence. I think they should be out of business. Report to the comptroller of the currency if you have similar experiences. read more

I always get treated well at this bank. Specifically by Leslie. All my transactions have been quick and pleasant.

I should preface this review by stating that I am not an account holder at this bank. However, it is the bank that my place of employment uses for their business account so I receive a paycheck weekly that I cash at this location. This location is so convenient for me because it is close to my home and it's open on sundays as well as many holidays. I get paid every Saturday. Almost every Sunday for the last six years I have gone to this bank to cash my check. I have become acquainted with many of the employees that work on Sunday's and the majority of them are super polite and friendly. More often than not I am rushing to make it there by 4:00 when they close for the day. The bank has an enormous clock on the top of the building so I know just how close I may be cutting it. There is one employee that I believe is a supervisor that closes and locks the doors early every shift she works. When I inquired to why she closes early she argued that it was after 4pm at which points I directed her attention to the time on my cell phone as well as on their clock. No apologies, just rude and indignant attitude. In the time she took to argue the time of day with me I could have been in and out of there and everyone could move on with their day. Instead, she seems to have some lingering resentment regarding our disagreement and so I now dread having to interact with her the one weekend a month that is her rotation. I am not greeted warmly or even acknowledged. Just a huffy sigh of exasperation as she unlocks the front door at 3:50 to let me in then at 3:58 to let me back out. Wouldn't it just make sense to honor your hours of operation and save us all the dramatics? Isnt more important for people to be able to get to their funds than for the employees to walk out of the bank four or five minutes earlier? I am just trying to get some grocery money not ruin anyone's afternoon. read more

Midfirst is now offering savings accounts through Vio Bank. Lured by the relatively high interest rate, I opened an account there. The entire experience has been very bad news. The application process was burdensome, as was enrolling in online banking. Adding a beneficiary to the account requires a written, notarized request. The initial funding of the account through ACH transfer was also cumbersome. Vio imposes a 10 business-days hold on ACH transfers, even though they are effective immediately. Vio limits ACH transfers out of its savings accounts to $5,000 per day, and imposes additional monthly limits. It depositors wish to transfer more funds at one time, they have to do this through their other bank, which usually involves a fee, not to speak of the inconvenience. I have been trying to close my account, which cannot be done online, and requires waiting for a customer service representative. Vio will not close depositors' accounts unless they have a zero balance. If a customer closes his or her account in the middle of an interest cycle, the interest accrued to that point is lost. Because of these rules, I have, so far, had to make 3 separate ACH transfers and two calls to customer service. By the way, Vio imposes an "inactivity fee" if there are no account transactions for a year, even if the account balance is zero. Good luck if you want to bank with them. read more
