The staff was very nice and there were plenty of lifeguards keeping close watch. The outdoor pool area consisted of - Large pool section that went from 3+ feet to 5 feet - 13 foot area with a diving board - Lazy river - 2 water slides About 40% of the area where you can sit is shaded (either trees or a canopy). I can tell that people came early to snag those spots. It's a very nice and well maintained facility. One thing to be aware of is that there is no re-entry. So make sure you bring everything from the car you need the first time. There is plenty of parking. Overall we had a great time and next time we will go closer to the time they open to get a shady spot.

But, they have a complete fitness gym, pilates and yoga studios, aerobics classes, spin classes, aquatic classes, personal trainers, and more. Our yoga community is very supportive, so I am always encouraged to go to class even when it's cold out or raining, etc. I am a "senior" & so there is something there for people of all ages. We have a 85-year old who regularly comes to yoga with the rest of us. But, the kids can play basketball or tennis, work-out in the gym, or swim in the pool.

Kenmont boasts 3 separate pools (Kids, main and lap pools), a basket ball, and 2 tennis courts. It also has a huge picnic area and 6-8 grills for the members. We do not have Mr. Patrick (gentlemen who used to sell snacks for the kids) but we have state-of the art vending machines ;-). There has been lots of facility upgrades such as the stairs going to the courts, new fans in the clubhouse, a filtered automatic water fountain, new led lights in the pool (nice during night swims). Kenmont also formed several committees such as the improvement committee, social, management liaison, etc. to respond and address the needs of the members. Communications to the members are timely and efficient. This pool rocks!

I tried out this place because two friends had brought their children for the parent/child swimming classes. Those book immediately because there's such high demand. I tried enrolling my 4 yo in the Fearful Swimmers class (supposed to be designed for kids afraid of the water but allows parents to be on the deck). I liked the graded pool with the kids and the inexpensive classes. However I was very disappointed because they started the class without him even though we were on time and showed up 5 mins early (and I had even introduced ourselves to the instructor). The instructor was young and seemed very inexperienced with children. She didn't know how to warm up to my son so he was really scared and shy. The other two kids had already done the class before so they seemed inappropriately advanced for the class at least based off the online description IMO. Basically she focused on the other kids while mostly ignoring my son who was playing on the side (my friend said that was her experience in the class as well- her daughter was ignored the entire time and basically ignore kids who can't keep up), and they told me to do the mommy and me class instead. I felt like I was being blamed or that it was my son's fault even though the class description is supposed to be for kids who are afraid. I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience, so I asked for a refund which they fortunately granted. The following week I took him to Goldfish Swim School even though it's more expensive and it was like night and day- WAY more kid friendly, instructors are trained to really play and work with children of all levels. He was just as afraid during his trial and refused to go in the water, but the deck supervisor at Goldfish jumped in and gave him a 1:1 introductory class instead. By the second session at Goldfish he was totally acclimated and following the teacher and having so much fun, and the time was split evenly among kids instead of just favoring the stronger/more advanced kids. Honestly you get what you pay for in a private facility vs public facility.

There is a lot for kids to do like play volleyball or play in the sandbox during adult swim. They have a couple of Gazebos to eat. Armands Pizza comes to the pool weekly with their pizza truck. There is also a weekly raft night which is fun to watch the pool filled with rafts. The pool is never really crowded except the first weekend and 4th of July. There is a 4th of July parade each year in the community that ends at the pool where everyone, even if you are not a member, can attend the pool for the day. On that day, the neighbors grill and all the food is free. And I'm happy that the pool finally got wifi this year!! Yeah! For new people trying to join, expect to be on the waiting list. If you are lucky you can get in the same year, but most times it is at least one full year.
