Recently I had the opportunity to visit my sister vacating in Oklahoma. My BIL had found this middle of nowhere dairy farm that gives tours. When you arrive you pull into what looks like just someone's house. But soon we were greeted and welcomed to Middle Mountain Dairy farm. Not only were we greeted by the owner (who has carried on this farmstead by herself since her husbands death 2 years ago) but also dogs, goats and a few chickens.
We went on the short tour which introduces you to bar life for goats, cows, pigs and a horse. We also got to see a pretty cool hydro-garden. Near the end grown-ups chatted while the boys found a tire swing to play on till we said our goodbyes.
This is a nice little stop to make if you are in the area. They do not charge for the tours but we left a generous tip. read more
