I have been going to this location for 2 months now. With on going check engine light. Started off…read morewith just an oil change and had my mass hair flow filter changed. Once my filter and oil change was completed a few days prior to it being completed my check engine light popped up. Took it to Ajax location where they diagnosed it and determined it was the mass air flow code popping up. Then proceed to tell me I needed my circuit changed, at $647 exact is what I paid for this repair/service. After them installing the part my check engine light had came back on. This time i took it in they informed me it was my mass air flow hose tubes that needed to be replaced. It was covered due to the fact they mis diagnosed my first issue. Now after this hose was replaced my check engine light came back on. This time I got the area manager involved due to the lack of knowledge clearly that is at this location. I was booked at Nissan dealer as my vehicle is a Nissan car, when I took my car it got a diagnostic at the Nissan dealers they informed me that the hose part had been installed backwards and I had my clamp lose. I was in disbelief as I just paid for the circuit on top of this I am travelling from Oshawa to Ajax due to the fact they are the only location with a " technician". And to make matters better they can't provide me any documentation that states the circuit needed to be changed in the first place, as they don't keep " diagnosis documents on file". I'm advising anyone who goes to this location or any Mr.Lube location for that matter do not let them do any other service on your vehicles beside maintenance work, god after all this trouble and money I've spent I won't even be servicing my vehicle here anymore. As well to my resolution on this matter , I was provided with a $250 store credit. This place is a joke and have no respect for there customers. Be cautious when dealing with this location. As well as clearly this location does not have trained staff or staff that know what they are doing!!

He specifically quoted that with cash, he would put the winter tires (on the rim) on for $60. When I got back, the quote was not honored. I was told for a german car it would be $80. Do you really want mento believe that the person who originally quoted $60, doesn't recognize a German car?? It didn't end there. The person who I dealt with probably needs some good brush ups and training on how to talk to a client. He was getting very difficult, and I asked why he was behaving like that. Guess what his answer was - in a generalized fashion he replied that their "clients" make their life difficult. Can you imagine the level of customer service? If your clients make your jib difficult then you shouldn't be here. Not honoring the quote and difficult behavior were not the end. When asked about the wheel lock, I mentioned that it is in the trunk under the tires. That guy would not do the work unless I, the client, take the tires out and hand him over the wheel lock. This kind of difficult and unprofessional response and behavior doesn't help! You should do better than this!

DO NOT GO HERE. Hopefully this review will help someone avoid similar issues I've faced. It's long…read morebut worth the read. On September 20th, I visited JC Lube for an oil change. Four days later, a dashboard warning appeared: "Charging malfunction: battery is not recharging. Stop carefully and consult nearest service centre." Concerned, I contacted a mobile mechanic on September 27th. He discovered the oil filter cover had not been secured properly, causing oil to leak all over the engine and damaging the serpentine belt, which needed replacement. I called JC Lube on September 28th, and Ruben, the manager, asked me to bring the car in. I paid for towing and brought the car in on September 30th. Ruben replaced the serpentine belt and attempted to clean the engine at no charge. However, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. On October 7th, the engine light came on. My regular mechanic found the engine was still covered in oil and noted that the alternator and serpentine belt tensioner were damaged due to the oil contamination. He recommended replacement of these parts and a professional cleaning. I returned to JC Lube on October 9th to address the issue. At the shop, I spoke to Jay, who claimed to be the supervisor but refused to escalate the matter, dismissing my concerns and telling me to contact Mobil head office, claiming JC Lube operated under Mobil. Later, Ruben clarified this was false, explaining that JC Lube is independently owned, and Mobil only supplies products. This misleading information added to my frustration. Ruben returned from vacation on October 24th, after I followed up multiple times, and agreed to inspect the vehicle on October 29th. I arrived at 8:50 AM and was told it would take a few hours. After hearing nothing by 1 PM, I went to the shop at 2 PM, and the car was suddenly "done." Ruben claimed he had cleaned the engine further but refused to replace the alternator and serpentine belt tensioner, insisting they were not completely broken. I explained that due to their negligence, these parts were compromised and likely to fail, which concerned me as I drive daily with my two small children. Ruben dismissed these concerns and refused to replace the parts, stating, "I won't fix what's not broken." Since then, I've had to return to my regular mechanic twice for further issues stemming from the initial mistake. JC Lube has not acknowledged any wrongdoing, often appeared annoyed with us for seeking resolution, and consistently failed to provide professional service or accountability. This experience has been a nightmare. Mistakes happen, but their refusal to take responsibility and their dismissive attitude make it clear they do not value their customers. I would not recommend JC Lube to anyone. Beware.

As a young African…read moreCanadian female I feel that I was treated poorly by this establishment which happened to be owned by an older white gentlemen who thought he could speak/treat me any way he felt like. I will not be returning to this place as long as I shall need a vehicle service and I recommend that you do not either. I went to this establishment about a year ago for the emission and safety check. In expecting to be in and out for about $120,it turned out that I would actually need to make a few repairs, change tires etc. which put me at about $1800. I was disappointed as I had just got the used vehicle and all the issues had been more than I bargained for. However, Garry was very kind and honest in his assessment. All of that changed when I went back a year later and interacted with what I believed to be his father Murray who also works there. Earlier in that day I needed to get another inspection from active green and ross so that I could transfer my ownership for my insurance. Unfortunately my regular mechanic was away on vacation so I went there for convenience, after the inspection they told me that I would need 1,934.22 in modifications to pass a car that I have had absolutely zero faults with. Because I knew my regular mechanic would not quote anything so outrageous I had to pay $140 for nothing but wasted time. Afterwards I immediately called back my insurance advisor and let her know what had happened and that I would not have 2 grand to spend unnecessarily on a car that functions perfectly as I had just done a safety one year prior! She then let me know that if I could prove that I had gotten it just a shy of a year ago (less than three years ago to be exact) she would allow the insurance policy to continue at my current rate. With that information I returned to Clark's Auto Service to get a copy of the proof of inspection. Murry was far from pleasant and at first tried to tell me that I had never gotten the safety done there. Because if I go somewhere and spent over 1500 dollars I would remember I urged him to check his records and look again. He then found the proof in his a receipt-like book. At that point when he noticed that I was not charged for the safety itself (which I am told if about $10 -reference Active Green and Ross for that price) he started to get short with me as if it was my fault that I didn't pay. I then reminded him of the other 1800 dollars I had spent as his establishment for the other repairs I had done and he proceeded to make a comment about how it was probably because I couldn't afford what he was originally charging. At this point Murray became rude and disrespectful, not letting me finish any sentence, talking over me, and disregarding what I was saying. I continued to ask him for a copy of the proof that I had gotten the inspection done for my insurance. He said he could not that because I couldn't remove government property. [I called the ministry of transportation and they advised me that as long as the paper in question is pertaining to MY vehicle which is in MY name then there is no law and or rule stating that I can't get proof of it.] Any way he gave me a print out of the invoice that stated I had gotten a safety but not if I passed or failed on a piece of paper that I could have printed at home. I knew it would not be acceptable with my insurance company and I let him know that. At that point I also suggested that if he could not do that than a photo that I could send her instead would suffice. But he kept saying that he doesn't know where it would be going. When he made that remark I felt as though maybe he thought I would be doing something fraudulent with the paper, so I asked him if that was true. He continued to interrupt and talk over me and ignore the question. At that point I had made many references to how he was being rude and disrespectful and his lack of kindness was duly noted. Out of frustration of having to pay $140 earlier for nothing and the way he was treating me as a customer I let him know how he was behaving as if it was not apparent. AT NO POINT DID I RECIPROCATE HIS RUDE OR DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR.I NEVER RAISED MY VOICE OR SPOKE ILL TOWARDS HIM. WHEN HE WOULD INTERUPT ME I WOULD WAIT FOR HIM TO FINIFHS AND TRY AGAIN. He told me to leave and when I asked him why, when I had gotten services done AND SPENT GOOD HARD EARNED MONEY there and I was looking for his support with some evidence my insurance wanted HE CALLED THE POLICE. Shocked and frustrated I waited there for them to arrive because I was ABSOLUTLEY certain I had done nothing wrong.I also wasn't sure if leaving would make me appear guilty. At this point I was angry and crying because I couldn't believe he would behave in such a despicable way and then call the police on ME. The one who was even keeled during the whole interaction. I wasn't in any trouble but WOW never again and I will tell EVER1

The problem was that when they gave me the car, they had obviously spilled some sort of corrosive liquid on the hood. The paint had bubbled and cracked, not a small area either -- about the size of a donut. When I complained they went immediately into contentious mode. "It must have been the tow truck." Nope, I followed the tow truck in a second car all the time, nothing of the sort happened. "Well it was there before". Nope, I would have absolutely noticed this large of a blemish. "Well it didn't happen here." Well I'm a grown man with a family, a career, and a reputation -- I have no motivation to lie about this. "Then you'll need to come back tomorrow and hash it out with the mechanic". But I didn't have an arrangement with his employee -- my payment was to him as the owner. These are not honorable people. I recommend everybody stay away from this place.
