I brought my new brand car to your shop for service. Unfortunately, during the process, your staff broke the oil pan of my vehicle. When I asked them about it, they refused to take responsibility and provided false information. Because of this, I contacted your head office to file a complaint. After contacting the head office, I was told to "come tomorrow." This delay and repeated instruction caused me a great deal of stress and worry, as my car was leaking oil, and I spent nearly five hours waiting without any proper help or explanation. In the end, your staff replaced the part with a new one, but at the same time, they told me that they would no longer service my vehicle in the future. This behavior -- damaging an essential part, denying responsibility, giving false information, keeping me waiting for hours, and then refusing future service -- is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I had my car towed here because it was having issues starting on the 27th of December. They phoned me to tell me it was the head gasket and that to fix it, it would be around $3000 to fix it. They called me back 30 minutes later and said that the cost would actually be closer to $6000 or a new engine at $7300. Spoke to a different mechanic at another shop from the recommendation of a friend and they said they are over charging. I eventually had my car towed to this mechanic as Midas said I should not drive. This new mechanic had my car for 5 days and came back that he could not find anything wrong with it. My car was starting with no issues. Anything Midas told me was happening was not. I picked up my car on January 8th and have been driving it ever since with no issues. I called customer relations to file a complaint. The only person who has called me was Dave, the shop manager. Who basically said they stand by their diagnosis and that it is what it is. I called back Customer Relations, and they said that since every shop is a franchise, there isn't much they could do. I paid $250 for a misdiagnosis, with no resolution. I have requested tire change and check of the tires - They told me they can't check if the tire is leaking. I am pretty sure this has been done in the past, the guy who presented him as a manager said they can't do it (not doable). I asked for full car check up because I am going on a longer trip and I wanted everything to be in good shape, I was asking for them to repair my leaking winter tire as well. When I asked him did he get all of that he said, "yeah of change the tires". His attitude was not interested, not paying attention because I asked for much more then changing the tires- when I told him that and asked for somebody else to talk to he got upset, he said he is the manager and I have to talk to him. So I said I was leaving and taking my business elsewhere, he tore and threw the paper in a fit in front of me. I used to go to Midas, and I was happy with the service and the attention I was getting. With this "new management", and the rudeness I was met with, they lost my business forever. read more

Overall good and quick service, however overcharged on parts. For example I was charged $545 for the muffler, exactly same muffler at a retail price would cost me $246; was charged $319 for the resonator assembly, retail price of the same resonator is $146; intermediate pipe $174, retail price of the exactly same pipe is $67. I understand that auto shops mark up on parts, but 100% mark-up on retail price is just taking advantage of customers. It would be cheaper for me to take 3 days off and drive around to find an honest mechanic, then be overcharged $580 on simple exhaust job. read more

Well they charge flat rate for everything. Doesn't matter if the car was there for 10 mins or 1.45 hrs, they will charge for 1.45 hrs because they charge a flat rate. I had an appointment for issue with AC. So I paid 79.95$ for inspection. Then I was told to get A/C Evac & recharge done. I agree and they do it in 30 mins. But in the end I get charged 1 (hr) labour for inspection which is fine, but I also got charged 1.4 hrs for A/C Evac. Well my car was there for 1:30 hr total but I got charged 2.4 hrs of labour. The Manager David is very rude and inconsiderate. Obviously he was having a bad day. They charge more for an oil change then the toyota dealer and use after market parts. Double check all work done to make sure you are getting the best deal. As Toyota can replace brakes for less with OEM parts than they can with after market parts. Be a smart shopper and avoid substandard shops with management that potentially preys on women. read more

WARNING. Oil Change says $29 but they forgot to add the $10 labour charge in fine print on their sign. I can never appreciate false advertising so I will not be coming to this location again. That being said, my oil change was really fast (perhaps too fast?). read more

I called in to get an appointment to fix an exhaust leak. The woman that answered seem occupied with something else. I gave her my name and got a sarcastic comment about it. While trying to explain what the problem with my exhaust was she kept talking over me and the accused me of of talking over her. Told her that she might learn more by listening instead. Did not go in to get the work done. read more

Went in for an oil change, 1st time customer. Mentioned a rattle in the suspension. Tech checked thoroughly and tightened a bolt...noise is gone...no extra charge. Very happy. read more

The oil change was fast, they wrote recent millage of the vehicle which I don't know when will be the next oil change, they charged over than what they advertised and shows playing around with customers. I hate inappropriate advertisements. read more

I had my alternator changed at midas. When I picked up the car there was a loud screeching noise. Today it got worse and much louder so I took it to midas to get checked out. When I walked in I explained that there had been a screeching noise since I picked it up. The lady at the desk said "I knew you would be back, youre THAT girl" I said "what girl is that?" she replied "youre that girl who will come back and complain about the work and say it wasnt done right." I was shocked at this response, it was so abrasive and disrespectful, what kind of "girl" did she mean when she said "THAT girl" was she referring to my ethnicity? or the fact that I was a female and females complain? I am not sure but I found it quite upsetting for a business to employ people with that type of distasteful attitude toward other people. I told her that the screeching noise is what tells me something is wrong with the car. She was so defensive from the start, it wasnt until she walked away to have the mechanic look at the car that another employee came out to get coffee I believe his name was Fitz, we politely greeted me as he had seen me drop off the car before, I asked him if he had heard the screeching noise in my car and he said "yes, its the belt, it happens sometimes all we need to do is tighten it for you dont worry" he was so kind an reassuring, immediately knowing the issue and offering me confidence in the solution. I relaxed back into my seat, until the lady came back and without me even speaking to her in the most attitude says "I truly believe it is the power steering, that is whats wrong with your car and nothing we did" I said "Miss. it is not the power steering, I havent had any work done on the power steering, it is the belt." to which he gruffed, "could be" I answered her with the same information the man gave me and she ran off, clearly to tell him he had done something wrong in telling me this. After which she stands by my car hovering over the mechanic as he fixes the issue. She periodically came back in to make sarcastic commentaries and let out her boredom on me while I waited in the room. At this point I almost left and wanted to contact the BBB since the work clearly was not done correctly and now I am being heckled by a staff member. She came back out and said "Yep its the belt, hes tightening it" she had so much sarcasum and ambivalence in her tone I really could not believe it, I noticed the owner was behind her in an office with the door closed and this must be why she felt as though her behaviour was acceptable. He never came back out so I could not notify him of her actions. My mother had an oil changed scheduled for today and has since cancelled after hearing about my experience. I plan to write reviews online and to the BBB should I experience any other issues with the vehicle. Even though the belt has now been tightened im surprised no one test drove it after repairing it to know this problem existed in the first place. I will never visit another midas again. read more
