The "Midas Touch"? Yup. sure did --- NOT! Midas was sold to a discount parts company in 2025. My last(and I mean last) experience with them in Escanaba MI was not good. My exhaust was loud. Need new muffler and a few feet of pipe to fix. Quoted me a price that seemed decent. But, a couple of months later I was looking under my car for a different reason and noticed the new exhaust pipe installed was smaller than OEM size. WTF! This "Midas" brand is no longer required to perform quality proffesional work expected as usual. So, you decide. read more

I took my granddaughter's vehicle to get it checked out. They quoted me $1,200 to fix everything. I decided to take it to my mechanic. He charged me $150 and fixed everything. read more

I don't know what they're doing to me I spent a lot of money there with a recent Ford F150 they put a lot of work into it and a lot of money of mine went. I just brought the truck in for steering fluid leak and then they tell me it popped another leak but they have my truck in there for hours and now it's totally undrivable. The truck even at its worst condition could drive four hours and not be as bad as what it is now and I put well over $1000 into it and it's worse than ever it barely made it to my new location in a moveI'm really starting to believe that they cheat you on purpose I don't have faith in them anymore read more

Jerry and Crew Saved The Day I was traveling to Chicago from Marquette and my oil light went on in Rapid River. I had just had an oil change at Midas the week before in Chicago. This was pretty stressful as I had 300 miles to go to get home. Luckily, I saw a Midas in Escanaba and stopped in and talked to Jerry, the manager. He immediately put me at ease saying they would check it out. It turns out that the oil filter housing was loose and oil was all over the engine. He had his guys clean it up and I was back on the road in under an hour and can you believe this- No Charge. Seriously, what a great place when another Midas totally screwed up my car. I could tell Jerry was a friendly and honest guy the way he talked to customers, especially those who were obviously repeat customers. People in the Escanaba area are lucky to have a reputable place to have their vehicles taken care of with GREAT customer service! Thanks Jerry! read more

I wish that I could give these guys a zero. I went to local Midas in Escanaba Michigan because I needed am alignment done. The technician who drove my vehicle assured me that there was nothing wrong with my car and sent me on my way. So when i get home, I noticed that my door cas dirty. Then I noticed the oil stain in my brand new car. There was a big black oil foot print right below my parking break. There was oil on my door, on my handle, everywhere.... OMG! Wash you hands and wipe your boots of before driving my damn car man....I wish that I never come here... read more

Had quite a bit of work done on my jeep. Very friendly and professional service. Started working on it same day as my appointment to have it looked at and was done very early the next day. I cannot express how grateful I am for Jerry and his crew! During a road trip from MI to MN, our car battery took a turn for the worst and as three young girls, we were at a loss. Jerry and his team professionally and honestly explained to us what was wrong and changed our battery on the spot without any additional charges as some would. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks again! read more

Started a 300 mile trip to Milwaukee. My blinker was out when I got to Rapid River. The guys at Midas replaced it in the parking lot for me. No charge - and they were extra nice and friendly. Makes me happy to live in the U.P. Thanks for your help and kindness! read more

My family and I moved to the Escanaba Michigan area, from out of state, nearly 10 months ago. Moving to a completely new area, I had no idea where to take our vehicles for routine maintenance, and extensive service if/when needed. I am very particular on how our vehicles are treated and worked on. So trust me, I wanted to find a place I could trust. Not long after our arrival to the local area, I needed to get one of our vehicles in for an oil change, and a basic inspection. I decided to give Midas of Escanaba a try. The first go, was a great success in my opinion. So I thought at that point, I would try them again soon with another of our vehicles. Sense then all three of our vehicles have been into Midas, as well as our sons car. The customer service at Midas of Escanaba is nothing short of superb. Specifically Jerry, as well as his maintenance mechanics team. Jerry is amazing with his customers, very knowledgeable, and is a subject matter expert in his field of work. They are a very busy shop to say the least. That says something!! However, I have never felt as though they were too busy to listen to what my vehicle needs are, or that I was a bother to them etc. What I value the most is that Jerry is honest and trustworthy. That often is hard to come by with many vehicle maintenance shops. Midas of Escanaba (Jerry) never attempt to up-sell you over your basic appointment needs. I would certainly recommend MIdas of Escanaba to anyone looking for trustworthy, fair priced, routine vehicle maintenance or extensive work needing to be performed. read more

Needing emergency repairs while on the road is always daunting. We made an appointment and the manager of this place had the foresight to order all the parts needed to repair our car a day in advance. We left feeling confident we could travel safely home and want to THANK the good people of Midas in Escanaba for the good experience and service! read more

We were on a driving vacation through the UP, and on our way back downstate, had a check engine light come on. These Midas folks were extraordinarily kind and helpful--ran a full diagnostic for us, correctly identified the problem, and did it all for free. Really wonderful guys who helped us out at a tough moment. Highly recommend this very honest and effective shop. read more

We were heading north for the Labor Day weekend and our brake pad broke off and started chewing up our brake system. One mile up the road we stopped at Midas in Escanaba, MI. They were super friendly and professional, replaced our brake pads and rotors, and had us back on the road in less than an hour. The icing on the cake was a more than fair price for the work, a rebate, and a lifetime warranty on the brake pads. This is a fantastic shop with great employees. Thanks, Midas! read more
