Gave me a great quote on the phone when I told them exactly what I needed. Got there and it went up and up. Disappointing but still cheaper than the first place that it took it to. Was told I could get it fixed the same day. Then turned into the next day by noon. In actuality, I got it at 3:30 pm the next day. They do not take checks so had to go get cash at the band $1300 later finally got it back. They said they checked all the fluids and maybe the tires, I asked if they would please make sure the pressure was correct. Who knows if they ever did or not? read more

Not knowledgeable mechanics!! Took our truck there because the breaks were going to the floor and dash light said low break fluid when trying to leave work. Had it towed to Midas on Airway. After first pick up we didnt even leave the lot due to all the lights still being on. That was after 2600 spent, picked it up a few days later and another 400 spent and it was back the next day after only driving 15 minutes right tire was smoking. Left it there ...after another 600 its still not fixed!! Its was there for pretty much a month and we've replaced the right front caliper( reading 420° after driving the block...after the repair), bleed and flush Hydraulic system( metal shavings still coming out of lines), parking brake replaced, master cylinder, R&R Brake lines, Brake Power Booster, R&R oil dip stick tube, Hydraulic Breaking System fluid Exchange...Even better when they called to say it was ready this last time they said the battery was dead and would replace it for 200....we declined and said well take care of it. Talk about another last ditch to rob us of more money. They brought a battery pack out to jump it and it was dead, so we drove home grabbed jumper cables... it started right up. The battery is just fine. Im assuming they left the doors or whatever open draining the battery. Drove it 1.9 miles home to put it on trickle change and when hooking up felt the extreme heat coming off the caliber....grabed a heat gun and we were over 400 degrees. The system is not fixed!! Totally defeated and dont know where go from here. Totally unsatisfied customer and feel we have been duped and taken advantage of!! We should of known when we went to pick up the car the first time and all the lights still were on....like how do you let someone leave like that or even call knowing its not fixed. I feel they dont know what's wrong and just started replacing everything hoping it would fix it. Here we are in the whole 3700 dollars and still cant drive it!! The service is terrible, the workers absolutely do not know their job. The person who accepts the cars told me that my car will be serviced now, but in the end I waited until about 02:00, after 2 hours he drove the car into the lift and said that the wheels are bad. During this 02:00, you could have just come to the car and said that they will not be able to do Alan because the wheels are bad, but they did not do this and waited until 02:00. i would not go to this place. buyer beware! Took car in for oil change and was told Calipers were "leaking bad" and also needed brakes. Vehicle only had $26k miles so left to check warranty. Took it to Honda Dealer who said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG! Glad I didn't get scammed for $2500 quote. I would not recommend taking your car here. I bought a brand new car and only brought it to this location for any oil changes. 25,000 miles later and my oil light kept coming on. Took it to the dealer and they sold me my oil pump screen was plugged with debris and they told me to stop taking it to wherever I got my oil changes. The dealer told me I was lucky there was no engine damage. The oil is either inferior, the staff doesn't know how to change oil and knocking dirt into the engine, or they've done something on purpose to keep me coming back for repairs. Just stay away. Replacing the oil pump screen cost me $350. read more

BEWARE OF ESTIMATES PROVIDED AT THIS LOCATION!! I understand the jacking of prices on parts, what I don't understand is the jacking up of prices from previous estimates for the same parts. I wanted to get my pads changed, I went and got an estimate but the parts were 50% more than autozone. So I went to autozone, got my parts but there was a part I was not so sure about (the calipers), they had quoted it as "hardware" on the estimate and it was $29.99 prior to me going to autozone. When I got back they were $37.99. I dared question the price jump and they said I was yelling (I never yell). I called the regional manager who called the location and they said I was disturbing the peace. The manager said he saw video of me yelling etc. They put back the old pads etc and told me they won't change them. I called the manager and asked of he oked that decision and he said yes. I told me calmly that I respect his decision because it was his business location, but he is not going to see me there anymore and wished him a good day. Checking in here, I realize the location has so many bad reviews, I wish I had checked here first. read more

Had a pretty bad experience here recently. Discount Tire broke a lug while rotating my car. It happens sometimes with impact wrenches, I understand. Their contracted support is this Midas store. I drove it in and the gentleman explained that they could just use a rethreading kit to fix it. Not seeing the lug, I thought it was indeed just stripped. Turns out it was actually broken about a third of the way down. So, I drove off the lot. To summarize, I went back 4 add'l times to have them fix what was a loud squeal and grinding from the same wheel. Every time they blamed it on the brakes...whether it was the hardware or something else. So, I took it to the dealer (Discount Tire was really good about this!) and the following issues were resolved: lug was actually broken and not at the same length as the others, lug was "floating" in the socket where it was supposed to be pressed, rotor set screw missing/second screw damaged beyond repair, rotor was "loose" around the hub (what!), and brake hardware was literally scraping the rotor. $900 later my car is again at square one. Yeah...avoid at all costs. There are other better places in this area. read more

I got my oil changed here a few months ago. I recently found a very small oil leak and took the car in to get checked. Steve checked and out and showed me a damaged oil pan. He said it would be fixed and to pick up my car at 2pm. I came right after 2pm and the car was done as promised. The manager, CHRIS LONG, said I was given a full Oil Change at No Charge AND gave me a 10% retired Military Discount as well. Very friendly, capable and professional people at this location. I was having trouble with my brakes, so I decided to get an estimate from Midas. They said that I needed to replace both rear brakes (calipers, pads, and rotors) and that repairs would cost over $1k . They said that it was impossible for them to simply replace the rear hydraulic line. Instead, I took my car to a local shop which fixed it for under $200. Be wary of their estimates. read more

I guess let me start by saying I have had many good experiences at Midas - and they do have some great people working there - however I now have had two very bad experiences there that the result is - I would never take any of my vehicles to any Midas ever again for any service. The first was a number of years ago. I bought four tires for my wife's minivan. They had a 70,000 mile warranty. After just about 30,000 miles of normal highway driving all four tires were nearly bald. However, because I could not prove through paperwork that I had had the tires regularly rotated (I did - at about every third oil change - but I didn't keep the paperwork) - they would not stand by the warranty at all. Nothing. I have never bought a set of tires at Midas since and I have never experienced the same issue with any other store's tires. Lesson learned - keep every scrap of paperwork from every service forever! The second experience was just now. Two years ago I had them do extensive brake/wheel work on the rear wheels of my F250 pickup truck - to the tune of $1200. Turns out they messed up the install so badly on the left rear wheel that on the highway back home - smoke was billowing out from the wheel. The next day when I brought it back they completely redid that wheel. Now, two years later - they tell me that same one and only one wheel needs another $900 of work for much of what they did two years ago. And somehow the warranty is no longer valid - no credit, no discount, nothing - $900 more work. Just seems a bit too ironic that the one wheel they extensively messed up - now needs to be redone two years later. As I said - I will never take any of my vehicles to any Midas ever again for any service. read more

I brought my vehicle into a Midas service shop to repair a problem. The shop said the problem was fixed, and thus upon driving the vehicle shortly after the same problem came back. I returned to the shop where I was told they couldn't fix it and I have to take it elsewhere. I asked for a refund in which they directed me to the district manager while I had also taken the vehicle in a different service shop where they repaired the problem. However after I brought it to the other shop the Midas manager called me and informed me that I could bring the vehicle back and they could fix it. Midas is refusing to issue a refund because they could have fixed it if I pulled the vehicle out of the other service shop and towed it back to theirs. read more

This place is horrible. They screwed me over big time! I got an oil change there, and they told me a had an huge oil leak. I asked where the oil was coming from? They said they didn't know, and would have to check, for a price. It didn't seem right to me. So I called my local mechanic to check my car, and what do you know! The damn leak is coming from my oil pan, Where those jerks changed my oil! They put thin oil in my car, losers. I don't know why they would do that to me??? Is because I'm a woman? Or because I'm young? Or because I'm Black? Whatever the reason, it isn't right. They will be hearing from my lawyer. read more

Beware! Staff is friendly and courteous, however, they lied about construction of my system and what needed replaced. I had no major issue until their work. I revisited to have them fix the issue with the replacement for additional cost. What was identified as missing/worn parts, they did not replace the second time. It was only after I visited a mechanic that their work got fixed. Overall, I spent almost triple what I would have spent if I had taken it to the mechanic in the first place. read more

4-29-16 4876 Airway Rd I was told I could get a $30 visa card after I told Ben it was going to be difficult for me to scrape together the $367 for a front brake job. After completing all the requirements...one being a yelp review, I received a letter back from the mail in visa card offer. I was told that my purchase was "outside of promotion dates". I feel Ben was just trying to make a sale. The work on my car was fine but I was hoping to find a place I could trust to take my car for maintenance and repairs....not today, not ever. I don't support liars. I'm pretty sure a $30 visa card would not have broke the bank for Midas. read more

This midas store quoted me $900 for a front brake job that included new calipers with pads, new rotors, and they were also nice enough to double charge me for another set of pads I would not need. The manager claimed my caliper piston and/or pins had seized and needed replaced. Needless to say, the manager was dishonest about my calipers as they still functioned normally. Technically, the rotors were still within spec and had half their life left, so they did not need replaced either. The unhelpful and dishonest manager and staff at Midas was more than willing to replace everything though. I would have been an idiot to pay $900 and have them perform the work. In the end, my friend replaced the pads and rotors with new heigh end components for $100. read more
