I have no idea, none, why there are any bad reviews of this place…read more Because of how bad the reviews are, I was TERRIFIED to go here, but I had a horrible rash under my eyes, that was making me not be able to sleep, and so I finally went in here last week.. and I am SO happy that I did. Upon walking in, everything is clean, organized, masks, and hand sanitizer stations, in multiple areas of the building, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and communicative. The doctor I got.. I am so sorry, but I forgot his name, but he drew out my problem for me, took the time to draw it out! so I knew what was going on with my skin! and that was the first time in my life a doctor was like that with explaining my eczema, and spoke to my ADHD. Seeing it drawn out and explained like that, made so much sense, after 25 years of eczema. VERY informative, and professional. His diagnosis, and what he prescribed to me, helped me within 24 hours! GO HERE. SERIOUSLY.

When I asked how long the appointment would be she said they schedule 15 minutes for each issue. I could schedule several appointments to cover the issues I have. So, each issue (fifteen min appt) would be billing Medicare and my private insurance. Receptionist asked me if I wanted to schedule more appointments to cover my issues. I decided I need to find another doctor and clinic where my needs can be met with one appointment. I am really disappointed as I have been a patient with Corvallis Family Medicine for several years.

Came here for some shots in my back from Doc Rask. The…read morefront counter lady's were super nice as my wife and came in to check in. They got me back at my scheduled time for my appt. The Nurses in the back area were very nice and took good care of me. They took time to explain everything in great detail. Which was nice, cause no one is excited to get shots in their back. The Doc came and greeted me and then went back to doing what he was and then I saw him again in the surgery room. He got me up on the table and did his job and all went very well. I was in and out just like that and feeling better almost right away. I cant say enough good stuff about this place and its staff and Doc Rask. I do wish the Doc would reel in the staff at his clinic tho. He is so kind and seems so down to earth for a Doc, and they over there are running people off. which makes him loose customers. Good Doctors are hard to find, he should surround them self's with good staff. He is awesome but his support staff is very rough. I suggest anyone should read my review of that place as well. its sad but true story. (corvallis pain) But back to this place. Its great and the people here were great and that's what is important.

Dr. Swensen asks good questions and provides clear and concise explanations when it comes to discussing future options. This has helped me understand the risks and benefits much better than I've experienced elsewhere. When it comes to an actual procedure, I am kept informed as to what's going on and what to expect next. There are no surprises...and when it comes to dental work, that's a good thing! So far, I've gone through an extraction and am in the process of getting an implant completed. No complaints at all! I've found that the assistants to be engaging, personable and competent (Alicia and Vanessa). In addition, Lisa has taken over my teeth cleaning and has done an excellent work! Sandy has done an outstanding job of keeping me informed of costs that will have to be paid out of pocket. This has helped me to better plan and utilize my Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Gone are the days of using a crystal ball or gazing at chicken's intestines to understand projected dental costs... And the folks who've helped at the front desk or on the phone (Sarah, Kong (sp?), Casey (sp?) have been efficient, personable and very competent. From a planning standpoint, I get email reminders of appointments and have found Dr. Swensen's availability to be much improved over my last provider. I'm just sorry that it took me 20 years to finally give these folks a try!

Dr Haslam talked to me as if I were a child and when I explained that I had some bad memories he said "I'm not forcing you to be here". My mental faculties are fine, in fact I continue to mentor graduate students and still contribute to professional journals. Some training in how to relate appropriately to older patients is in order!
