I'm an engineer by trade and cant help apply those skills to every project I start…read more I thoroughly appreciated working with Tyler through every step. He was articulate explaining the displacement, likely root causes, prevention and mitigation steps, repair options, and the pros/cons of each approach. During the walkthrough he discussed the areas of concerns and created a visual diagram of the forces interacting on the basement walls, how its displacing the wall, and how it will be repaired. The quote contained all these areas with the total cost of repair + the project plan to resolve it. How many straps, their locations, mortar joints that will be replaced, and a 5 foot section of basement slab that needed removed to clear out the flush ports underneath and replace with new concrete. What I appreciated the most was Tyler's engineering approach. Root cause, resolution, and cost. He identified a couple areas not pointed out by other contractors that required addressing and his quote was still in line despite the additional work. And I never got the impression he tried to create work for a higher invoice. I 100% would hire Tyler and Basement Remedy if I ever purchase another house with basement issues again.

We also needed a precisely dug hole in which to bury a new LP gas storage tank. We found everything we needed at Basement Remedy! Tyler, Todd and their friendly crew, diagnosed our issues, discussed our options, gave us a free estimate; and when we hired them, they quickly delivered the results we needed at a price we could afford. They are great communicators with hands-on ownership. It was a wonderful experience! Five stars. Ask them to quote your job too, you won't be disappointed.

I rarely give five star reviews because I rarely have good experiences with service workers - let alone great experiences. However, JB Foundations earned all 5 stars. And honestly, it's not that hard - just very few companies will do the basic things that make customers happy. It started recently with a couple days of hard rain. We live in an elevated area where our driveway slopes up and our house and foundation is higher than the street. As a result, we have never had any issues with water in the basement and rarely give it a thought. The only problem we had was the pipe leading up and out of the basement had a loose connection and I was able to tightened it up. But with this most recent rain, the sump pump started acting differently. It was still seemingly working but making an incredible noise. I had just had new flooring put in on the first floor (I'll be writing that review next) and noise carries much more within the house. At first I chalked the louder sump pump up to that. But the more I had to listen to it while working from home, I realized something was wrong. The second day, I started putting feelers out. Messaging 3 companies on their websites asking if they did this work on sump pumps and in our area. NONE RESPONDED. I hate using the phone so electronic communication is my preference. THe next morning, the pump was quieter but ran non-stop for hours - despite there not being hardly any water in the tank and it also had not really rained for a while. This time I turned to Yelp (which is where I got the names and reviews of the 3 companies I reached out to via their websites). I picked one and sent a message just like I did before. I also took the option to ask a couple more companies to respond. Almost immediately, JB Foundations responded and expressed ability and interest in doing the work. We exchanged messages via Yelp and soon I had an appointment, as well as an estimate should the pump need replacing. The appointment window was only 2 hours and they were able to come the next day. Considering we had yet to take any water in the basement, I was feeling very lucky (which is rare). Jay showed up during the 2 hour window and went to work. He showed me how the pump can be tested by bypassing the floater. The pump was still working and apparently able to push water to the street. Regardless, given the 26 years it had been working - I opted to have it replaced. Jay had a new pump with him and installed it in maybe 15 minutes. He asked for a garbage bag to carry the old pump out in as it was crusted in rust and mud. He had also pulled out a few other misc. items (paper, soda can, rocks) from the hole and transported it all way without messing up the floor. Jay educated me about the back-flow valve/connector - which was apparently what had come apart before. He had replaced it at no extra charge. I always appreciate a service person taking the time to explain things to me so I better understand how the things in our house work. Jay did so without making me feel spoken down to or stupid. I don't know what else I can share if you're not convinced yet to include this company in your search when needing any work done in your basement/foundation. I highly recommend giving them a shot.

He explained well how the process would unfold and was proactive about being open to any questions. They arrived the originally scheduled day and although there was a delay due to some pretty extreme weather causing traffic idiocy, I was notified about that delay. They worked hard until the job was complete. Every indication so far is that the job - a crawlspace drainage/sump - was successful, considering there has been another very hard rain since and no more basement leakage.

As a Disabled Combat Veteran, Integrity is a key Important factor for me. StayDry (or StayWet as I…read morecall them) is the worst, most negligent and corrupt company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. No honesty, no integrity, no communication. It's been a horrifying experience, one of the worst i've had, let me tell you PLEASE BE ADVISED. Team leader Aaron started talking to my wife about how he liked large breast as well as talking about his recent divorce and how he loved young women etc...RED FLAG Guys did not have the knowledge needed to do the job. Stay Dry did not do the work in the agreed upon contract. The work they DID do was so absolutely disgraceful that they had to send a second team out to completely redo everything and still, after 3 days only completed have the work. I was told by Inspector Tyler that StayDry wanted to give me gift cards for being so understanding... I had 2 other waterproofing companies and construction company here as well as city officials including City trustee, all said work done was horrendous and not to code and that clearly StayDry is a predator company. No Communication from this company, they ghost you consistently, I emailed and called several times, multiple times a week. Did not receive a SINGLE call back as requested, in fact the Officer manager Jessica stated she personally thought the GM was waiting me out to get me to forget about the contract or give up. What kind of company does this? Basement inspector Tyler seemed to have integrity, but as Manager Jessica stated, she thinks that's why he quit and the work was never finished. SO, they lack experienced people. Honestly, there aren't enough characters to give a full review, it was that bad, I have a few pictures of how my crawlspace sits currently. After requesting via email, the work be done by the second week of March. Stay dry ghosted me. I called them over and over and received no call back. Finally, got word in one of the calls from the front officer manager that the GM wanted to just cancel the contract lol what!!!? Brother, we are way past that now. Clearly I told them that was not acceptable. I continued to call every other day asking for a return call from the manager, which I never received. Finally, an hour after they closed on the last day of the last week I gave them. I received an email stating they would be cancelling the contract because of some biohazard in my crawlspace. I am 100% sure this is actually going to be in StayDry's response if/when they do respond. This is absolute GARBAGE. I even hired a company to inspect the area, they gave an all clear and StayDry knows this, as they were told by the inspector Tyler. I have the receipts StayDry. It's insane to me that they would go this route, that a company like this can operate and STILL get new customers. I have more pictures, I have phone calls, I have text messages and emails. This is a company that literally had to be sued by it's own employees for not paying them, seriously. Go look it up. 5 months StayDry, It's been 5 months. You took a disabled vets money and left me out here with a screwed up house you PROMISED you would take care of me. I've had to apply to a charity at this point to try and get assistance in fixing the disaster you have only made worse since being here. Now, I have to worry about another expense. An attorney.
