A few months ago I suffered from something terrible that I did not know what was causing my…read moresymptoms. So through word of mouth from other specialists I was told to look into a neurologist. So with a quick google search brought me to Comprehensive Neurology Services. I went through with scheduling an appointment with Amanda Golden, Neurology PA. When I went for my first appointment back in August I walked into the building and I instantly had bad vibes from the building. She wanted me to get a few tests done to rule out other possibilities. She eventually diagnosed me with Post Concussional Syndrome so she then prescribed me with a prescription I had a few follow up appointments with her. Then someone had mentioned that I should see a TBI specialist and I reached out to Amanda Golden and she told me that she had a specialist in the office she worked in. So I finally was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Raffiq. So I go in for my appointment on 1/13 at 9am. I get called back to a room. Dr. Raffiq finally comes into the room shortly after. He tells me that he wants to increase my medication to 3 pills a day (which mind you is a prescription to help with concussions symptoms). His cell phone then rings and he tells me it's the hospital calling so he answers it on speaker phone discussing another patients personal information around. He finally gets off the phone 5 minutes later. He then starts going on about my blood pressure being too high and this and that and that my symptoms are from my high blood pressure. I tried explaining to him I have seen many doctors and had my blood pressure taken a lot though 2025. Which I had these symptoms back then. And I was never told that my blood pressure was extremely high, just that it might be high and when they would check it again it would be fine. But Dr. Raffiq really believes that my symptoms are from my high blood pressure. I tried explaining it to him that I had these symptoms way beforehand and never was told this. He then had no knowledge of anything even with being seen there with the notes in my file, he had zero knowledge of why I was there seeing him. We got into a somewhat heated argument because he would not listen to what I had to say. He then concluded my appointment with him short. Mind you I already had to wait 5 minutes of my appointment time when he was on the phone with the hospital. I don't understand why he wanted to increase my medication for concussion symptoms IF he didn't believe it had anything to do with concussion symptoms. If you are looking for a neurologist or a TBI specialist I would not recommend Dr. Raffiq to anybody! Also, you can't get through to the office you get outsourced to a call center overseas which should have been a Hugh red flag to me from the beginning. But I was in desperate need for treatment at the time that I went with this office. I. DO. NOT. RECOMMEND.

Was seen nearly a month ago and STILL have not had my prescriptions sent over. I've called multiple…read moretimes and was assured this would be taken care of "urgently." One week later, and nothing, even after calling the practice I visited and the one closest to me to schedule a follow up. Do not recommend this practice at all.

Well apparently they're at it again! Failing to call in prescriptions seems to be the mainstay of…read morethis place! You can't rely on people like that! I understand that these are doctors and they get paid well, but my rights to prevent and treat my pain are paramount and are more important then whether or not someone can go home and have guests over! I'm tired of having to chase doctors nurses and whoever else around just to get treatment for something disabled people like me deal with every single day! It's time someone over there takes the time to make sure patients get their prescriptions! I guess I'm going to have to be the adult and request my prescriptions in writing! If someone reads this and they wonder why I'm so aggravated about this, look up the symptom list on fibromyalgia, you'll see why! In addition, this isn't the first time this has happened, it happens at least 4 times a year! Seriously, it's not that hard to create two of the prescriptions one for each month before my next appointment!

I give Dr Holmes a 98% rating, but some of their staff needs better work ethics. I was given 2…read moremedications by Dr Foster. At least one of them I had reactions to. I called the staff and she said she would make sure the Dr got the message. I never did receive a message back.I got a call several days later, and I thought, good, they are finally getting back to me. It wasn't that at all. She was trying to get me to make another appointment for a check up. I told her about the drug interaction, and she said I will get the information to the right people. Still haven't heard from them. Had to go to my GP and he told me which one to stop. If a doctor gives you meds and our body rejects them a Dr should talk to you immediately.

Additionally, the doctor asked if there was anything else I would like to talk about. I mentioned that was having some trouble sleeping. And we talked briefly.(No more than 2-3 Minutes about that subject) The office charged me for a second visit for that brief conversation. And would not remove the charges, even when I objected. I cannot stress enough that you should avoid this doctors office. They are very clearly not interested in inpatient care, and simply interested in a profit. There are too many other doctors in this area for you to waste your time and money with a location like this

I have been going to various FPCA offices for nearly a decade now, and I thoroughly regret…read moreswitching from the Ballenger Creek location (but I could never get an appointment) to this one in Urbana. My latest appointment left me feeling as though I have no choice but to find a new primary care physician. I had recently gotten lab work done by a hospital as part of a clinical study - when the results came back I was able to tell I had some form of infection. I made an appointment to see the doctor at FCPA in hopes they could confirm this and prescribe me some treatment. Upon reiterating this to the doctor, and physically showing him all the lab results his response was "oh did Doctor Google tell you all this?" I said no and that I am a critical care nurse so I can interpret most lab values, but that I came in order to confirm. He said "oh so you're doctor nurse then, huh?" I found this incredibly rude and degrading. Part of my exam involved taking a look in my pelvic region and completing a swab. Initially they said they wouldn't complete this for me because they don't do "women exams." I said that this is something men get too and what would they do if a man came in with the same results to which they responded that they would do the test. The doctor and nurse left the room and ultimately decided they would complete the swab with a female doctor. Totally fine by me and I was being pleasant about the whole thing, but simply just wanted to be seen and treated. I didn't feel like I was asking for a lot since I have seen a PCP for this issue in the past and it was fine. The doctor came in, admitted she hasn't done this in forever (again totally fine I get it), fumbled around for what felt like forever, and then threw the swabs on the counter without putting them in the vials. The nurse came back in and touched the vaginal swabs with bare hands and put them into the vials. Eventually, they ran their tests and did prescribe me medication which cleared the problem. I am thankful for that, but the entire experience made me feel like I was not valued as a patient. It was very clear that this team felt I was being annoying and unreasonable despite the fact that I was being incredibly understanding, pleasant, and simply asking to be treated for something that is a primary care level problem. As a fellow healthcare worker, I am truly appalled by the attitudes from both the nurse and doctor that took care of me on this day.
