The office has a good vibe, (not to mention excellent taste in music) and the front office people are lovely. My cleaning went very well, really nice, personable hygienist, and the dentist was there to discuss a treatment plan. I had a bit of work done just this week and could not be happier with the results. Dr. Buxton completed the work and crowns in just one visit. The crowns are an excellent fit, one is on a front tooth and it completely fits in with the natural teeth. They make the crowns on premises so there is no waiting! So we went ahead and did it and big shock, North East Delta Dental my insurance provider does not cover procedures at 100% done by this practice (maybe 20-30% coverage at most). They are not in network for them. Surprize, we got a $907 bill. They also performed a LPDQ - Laser Pocket Disinfection by Quad procedure, that is almost $100 for ach quad. Please do yourself a favor and save your money. It is no better than the traditional scaleing. In short, if you are a State of Maine employee please do not go here. The closest periodontist that is in network is near Portland, ME. Nothing in Bangor / Brewer. They also scheduled two sessions for initial comprehensive evaluation (on 03/26/2015) and then another for an X-Ray (on 04/14/2015) and charged my insurance twice, which my did not cover in full. I also had to waste almost half a day away from work. Why not do everything in one go? I had to write a bunch of emails back and forth to get the charges reversed. In short, there are better practices in Bangor or even in Portland, stay away from this place. OK done venting now. Thank you for reading my review.
