I'm not sure which guy it was but it terrified me that this person was hooking a trailer to my truck. I drove home slowly and had my husband recheck everything. The following weekend I went back to get another trailer bc the location is convenient and now I know how to make sure the trailer is securely attached. I don't need to describe the employee because one exchange with him and you will know exactly who I am talking about. I asked him a question about the information he was requesting because I had rented a trailer the weekend prior,he starts telling me how I can go spend my money elsewhere and he was already dealing with another customer with a bad attitude. I ignored him, not understanding why HE was getting bent out of shape about me questioning him. When it was time to pay I asked him to use the card I made the reservation with. His response was incredibly snarky " the card has to be present at the time of purchase" (although the previous weekend he asked me if I wanted to use the card on file). He then went into a tirade about how he hated his job, " I hate this job, hate this place, makes me sick!" Then this joker gave me no receipt and attached my trailer and waved me off. Needless to say I WILL GO out of my way to find another store, maybe even a different company. I have used this location multiple times for personal and business moves but I will not again and I will tell EVERYONE I know and post this review everywhere I can because the sad part is he is destroying someone's business with his toxic behavior. There are 11 places to rent U-Hauls in Macon Georgia, I would take this guys advice and choose any location besides this one.

I recently moved from Warner Robins and during this process I needed both a moving truck and a…read moretrailer to tow my car. This being said, it shouldn't surprise anyone that I found myself at a U-Haul picking up my truck and trailer. Now, what did surprise me was the level and quality of customer service that I received at this particular U-Haul location. I was lucky enough to have the manager on duty, Sam Smith, assist me with my pickup. She was friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly good at her job. While loading my car onto the trailer she noticed that a different style of trailer might suit my automobile better and suggested I consider switching. She advised taking a trailer that keeps all four wheels off of the ground to avoid any needless wear and tear on the vehicle. After taking a moment to research, weigh options and think about it I realized that she was correct and followed her advice. And boy am I glad I did. For a negligible price I was able to avoid putting needless miles on my vehicle and/or possibly damaging it in transit. She quickly and deftly handled changing my order, swapping the trailers, and getting me on my way. My whole interaction with Sam was an excellent example of great customer service. My only worry is that she has set the bar unrealistically high for the next time I visit a U-Haul location. If you have the option, I highly recommend picking up or dropping of your rentals here.
