For a 3 star hotel, this hotel is fabulous. Even a little Febreeze would have helped. Great that the front desk person will argue with a guest about the cleanliness of a room when the guest is clearly distraught and annoyed at 2am. I was told no manager was available to help me and that I had to suck it up, so I went to a different hotel at 3am just to get a room to sleep because I was not able to deal with the odor. Completely unacceptable room to have passed housekeeping. I ended up being out of pocket for the second room. The manager then called the other hotel and gave out confidential details about my reservation that I did not consent to. Also completely unacceptable. When I came back in the morning, I was given a new room and the manager on duty at the time said he would investigate and get back to me. Now that I checked out three days later, I'm still waiting for that a manager to get back to me. Again, complete incompetence for a manager to not be able to resolve a customer complaint. Last, for the duration of my stay, I did not get any housekeeping despite asking for it and I had to run to the front desk multiple times to get towels and toiletries. A hotel should sell a room that doesn't stink, give towels, and resolve customer complaints in a reasonable time frame. Three things that this hotel failed to do. The manager I spoke to at checkout was also useless and continued to make excuses for violating confidentiality and made no attempt to rectify the fact that the first days of my vacation were ruined because of their incompetence, and that I had to go back and forth to the front desk at 2am to get toiletries and towels because they couldn't even do basic housekeeping. A completely incompetent team at a hotel that I will never stay at again. I hope you don't either. Manager had no discernable contrition over his team being completely useless.

One of the nicer airport hotels in Montreal and with FREE parking. Booking on SnapTravel somehow…read moreobtains a cheaper rate than anywhere else. I was able to add my choice hotels account to the booking at check-in, though no points or Choice Privileges are received for a third-party booking. Stayed for one night in a 1 king bed room, the hotel feels new throughout and bedroom and bathrooms were both clean and nice. Room came fully equipped with flatscreen TV, microwave and minifridge (the minifridge is behind a door in the desk under the TV). If you are lucky, you might get the corner room where the hotel "bends", and the room will be very spacious - I got this in Room 247. The bed is comfortable and the linens were clean. There were 2 power plugs and 1 USB port on both sides of the bed, as well as 1 power plug in each of the reading lamps, however the power plugs on one side didn't work. The view is overlooking a service road and highway, nothing interesting. Wifi requires an access code which is on the sleeve of your room key, however the network security is open. As it is a building standing by itself, I don't understand why the access code is required, or at least put a password so that WiFi usage is encrypted. COVID breakfast consisted of a blueberry muffin, Oikos yogurt, and orange juice box, overall rather disappointing of a breakfast. They are handed out at reception and you just tell them how many breakfast bags you need. There is no fresh brewed coffee or tea, the coffee is the Keurig provided in the room, the K cups of which are Van Houtte branded. It would have been nice if there was a large water dispenser in the lobby, since it is difficult to fill water bottles in the bathroom sink. There is a luggage scale available in the lobby. As far as I can tell, the hotel is no longer used as a quarantine hotel, so it would seem like those reviews no longer apply.

Without acknowledging me I asked if I could check in, he seemed annoyed by the question and roughly began to check me in. So I started asking questions about the payment, he did not care and just went ahead and slid my card into the machine before I was even ready to go about the payment. I even asked if he could manually charge my card instead of putting in my pin because I forgot my pin number. His response was "not my problem!" I was applaud because I booked a room with the same problem with another Comfort Inn not far from this one, these two men were so nice and very helpful, allowed me to pay for the room manually! I even checked in the night before at another hotel, had no problem with my card. After I told him he was rude and not very helpful he tells me he's going to cancel my room! I asked him about the cancellation fee but he said he didn't care, after we both calmed down because I wasn't going to leave, I was too tired he apologized and said he works 7/7 days a week (not my problem, his choice) It was the worst stay! It was very humid in the room with no AC! That morning I wanted to speak with the manager but the girl at the front wasn't taking me seriously, staff were unprofessional and attitudes are disgusting!

Had an overnight layover so I booked a pretty expensive stay at this hotel. Reasons for choosing…read morethis were due to 1) free airport shuttle (arrives every half hour, on the hour), and 2) free breakfast due to Hilton status. I checked in online and selected room #158 in the app. Upon checking in at the front desk so that I could drop off my very heavy bags, I was given keys to a different room due to my original room having been assigned to someone else. The digital key in my app still had #158 listed, however, so that would've been pretty awkward if I'd walked in on someone and quite annoying after a 14 hour flight. Breakfast the next day started at 6:30am, and since I wanted to catch the 7am shuttle to the airport, I stopped by the front desk to see if they could retrieve and hold my luggage while I ate since I didn't want to miss the shuttle. The agent said he was off soon, so wouldn't be able to accommodate my request. By the time I got back from breakfast, the agent was still there, and called my luggage for me. I gave him my key and I guess he was too busy doing his end of shift duties that he didn't bother printing me out my invoice. At the airport I noticed they charged me for breakfast when it was supposed to be complimentary. I called the hotel and they said they fixed it. When I looked at the new invoice, it shows they only separated the breakfast fee from the gratuity I had added to the bill. I was still charged for breakfast. Now I have to call them AGAIN to get this fixed. Breakfast was more than adequate, however, and the ladies were lovely, as were the bartenders in the hotel restaurant, Restaurant Le Sémaphore. The room was clean, but small. For a one night stay that comprised of 2 drinks and an app at their bar, plus buffet breakfast the next morning, my total came to almost $400 CAD. Not worth it at all as the hallway in the wing I stayed in looked old and service was a chore upon check out. Also found it ridiculous that they're charging for hotel room slippers at the market when the room itself cost almost $300CAD.

We enjoy the Residence Inn brand hotels with the refrigerator, kitchen and cooktop so we can buy groceries, cases of water, snacks and save a little money on the trip. The hotel seemed to be in a good location, we had a car so it seemed easy to get around and explore Montreal and the surrounding area. We didn't use the housekeeping service but when we asked the staff for extra towels or toilet paper they were accomodating. They have a big parking lot. When we were there it was snowing heavy, but we were able to clean our cars off okay. I did try out their fitness center in the basement floor which was well stocked.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE WHEN IN MONTREAL…read more There were a lot of hotel options available in Montreal. I was super satisfied with my decision to stay here for the following: 1. Clean and updated rooms. The hotel was recently renovated. The room options available were a major selling point since we were traveling as a family with little people. 2. The complimentary breakfast hit the spot every day that we spent there. The waffle maker isn't out every morning but when it is the line will be long. Breakfast meat options were all pork. 3. Great location. It's located across the street from a huge mall. Some guests walked over. It's 10 minutes from airport and about 30 minutes from downtown. 4. Super friendly staff that were eager to help. I would definitely stay here again!

Ok Hotel. Poor management. Had our cars towed and are now being ignored by the manager…read more I booked 2 rooms for one night through ParkSleepFly solely because of the perk of being able to leave our vehicles parked at the hotel for the duration of our trip to BC and skip the airport parking. After making the reservation I called the front desk to ask about the parking situation and was told that there was a gated lot that we would be allowed to park in. When we arrived we were told to park in the alley behind the building. When i asked about the gated lot my question was ignored and I was rudely told "we don't have a theft problem" before she pulled out 2 wheel locks from behind the counter. We parked behind the building next to a long line of other vehicles that were there from the hotel and went on our trip. We did not hear from the hotel for the rest of the trip. When we returned we found the entire row of cars gone, ours included. No call from the hotel to let us know what had happened. The very nice front desk person told us that the spots we had been told to park in were not explicitly owned by the hotel and they were in a parking dispute with the neighbor who had had all of the vehicles towed. They put us on the hotel shuttle to where they said the vehicles were, which was a random side street, only to find our vehicles weren't there. After another 40 minutes we were told they had found one car, but had no record of the other. Luckily it was parked on the same street as the first, both with $200 tickets. The front desk employee told us that they would pay the tickets and to reach out to the manager for any other concerns, but kept going to the back, presumably to speak to the manager who would not come out to speak to us directly. When I did reach out to the manager, Jean, asking for confirmation that both tickets had been payed and for a refund for the cost of our stay, I received one email stating that they would be paying one of the tickets. When asked for confirmation that they had been payed, about the refund, or about the second ticket we were ignored, as were our multiple follow up emails. I don't usually write reviews, but this has been one of the most unpleasant travel experiences of my life.

I decided to drive over to Montreal during that long weekend and make it a mini getaway for me. Before I checked in to my hotel closer to the office where I'd be working from, I stayed at this Courtyard in Baie-d'Urfe. This hotel is a hidden gem. I loved it there. I like when my room has a mini fridge and microwave. It means that I can chill my drinks and bring food that I can heat up whenever I get the munchies. It simply feels like being home, but I am definitely away from it. The most amazing part of the room is the fact that it has every single USB connector that you can possibly think off! Micro USB? Lightning cable? 30-pin cable for your old iPod? Old Nokia phone? DSLR cable? Yes, everything! I always come equipped with every USB cable under the sun, as I am a gadget girl. I didn't pull out any of them. This room had everything that I needed. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was bright and modern. I didn't have any issues with water pressure. The TV worked nicely. The only issue that I had was a guest above me who ended up pounding on what sounded like either the wooden headboard or slamming cabinets. I received a phone call fairly early on Saturday morning. It was definitely a woman's voice from the front desk. She was talking to another colleague and thought that I was making all that noise. Her colleague basically corrected her by saying that the guest above my room was having a "violent migraine" and that all was okay. Anyway, I called the front desk to talk about this passive phone call and to indicate that I actually woke up from my sleep to this banging. She apologized, which was nice. I wasn't angry. I just didn't like the message left that wasn't really for me. Staff are extremely friendly here. I was greeted quickly and the woman was simply happy to work at this hotel. I liked her attitude. When I am in the Montreal area, I'd definitely come back here. If you do not need to be in the heart of downtown Montreal and have a car to get you places, this hotel is your perfect escape. (21)

This Courtyard was a new but standard hotel in a mixed industrial/rural area west of Montreal,…read morewhich meant there was really no walking around the neighborhood to check things out. But sometimes a hotel is just an island to rest your bones, which can be fine for a short trip. I did notice a nice, paved trail walkway adjacent to the hotel that crossed over the highway; and then appeared to connect to other trails in some limited parkland. But it was wintertime with a cold rain falling, and I was working during the daylight hours, so maybe next time. My room itself was clean and spacious, with nice styling. No complaints at all in that area. The bed was comfy and I slept well here, except for the night of the election (I was thankful for polite Canadians the following day). Certainly not the hotel's fault. The weak points were the amenities in the lobby. The "restaurant" was really just a bar area where you could order some food. Seating was odd: either low modular tables inside little TV-nooks, or centralized communal desk/tables. The beer list was terrible - American macro beers, plus Molson and Sol. As for the mini-store next to the front desk - Not a great selection of food beyond snack bags, candy, soda (and the same beers above). Thankfully the breakfast here was respectable - a big oatmeal plate w fruit & nuts (my usual choice), or several types of egg combos; plus good coffee and some a la carte items. Service was also much better in the morning. Wi-fi was free, which was nice (even though "included in the price" is a more accurate term) Fitness room - all brand new equipment, but it was weak on options - one bike; one elliptical machine and a few hand weights. At least they had a small pool. An extra half-point for that, though i never got the chance to use it with the long days. Despite some of the issues, I'm tempted to award 4 stars for the friendly staff and new hotel condition. But I see the previous, solo reviewer rated this as was one of the best hotels ever conceived on the planet, so I'll keep it real.
