Embrace the "shock loss"! Since Dr Wasserbauer was so thorough in explaining the process to me I…read morewas actually excited when I hit the shock loss phase. I knew that meant my hair was about to make a huge comeback! I researched who was the very best in the hair restoration industry and found Dr Wasserbauer just up the road in Walnut Creek. It's been a year since my procedure and I am ecstatic with the results. My hair looks natural. People who did not know me before would never guess I had a hair transplant. Friends of mine who have had this procedure done elsewhere regret not going to Dr Wasserbauer after seeing my results. Thank you Dr Wasserbauer and team!

My experience with California Hair Surgeons was disappointing from the initial consultation through…read morethe follow-up care. At my first consultation with the doctor, before we even really discussed my hair, she began pointing out other things about my face that she thought I should have fixed. That immediately made me uncomfortable and set an unfortunate tone for the experience. I was originally quoted approximately 2,000 grafts/units for $15,000. When it came time to pay, however, I was suddenly told I needed approximately 3,000 for $18,000. I felt significant pressure from the receptionist to agree to and pay the higher amount. I was uncomfortable enough with that interaction that I called back and spoke with the gentleman who had originally helped arrange my procedure. After explaining my concerns and that I was reconsidering moving forward, I was told they would provide the additional units at no charge. Yet on the day of my procedure, I was told that I only needed approximately the original number I had initially been quoted. As a result, the additional units I had been told would be provided never materialized. The entire situation left me confused about why the estimate had increased so substantially in the first place. The procedure-day experience was also disappointing. I had been instructed to arrive promptly at a specific time in the morning, but when I arrived, I waited approximately 20 minutes for someone to show up. During the procedure, I was actually awakened by staff talking extremely loudly about their weekend right next to my ears. I asked if they could please lower their voices, and I found their response rude and dismissive. When you're undergoing an expensive medical procedure and are already in a vulnerable position, that is not the environment you expect. Post-procedure communication was another major issue. I was given two instruction sheets containing conflicting information, which made an already uncomfortable and stressful recovery more confusing. I also don't feel that shock loss was adequately explained to me beforehand. Experiencing it without understanding what was happening was genuinely frightening. I'm also disappointed with the long-term planning of my hairline. Rather than designing and creating a new hairline, grafts were placed behind my existing hairline. As my original hairline has continued to thin/recede, the transplanted area no longer creates the natural-looking hairline I had hoped for. I wish the possibility of continued hair loss and how that could affect the final appearance had been discussed and planned for more thoroughly. Finally, I expected meaningful follow-up after such a significant and expensive procedure. I was never contacted for the six-month photos/follow-up that I understood would be part of the process. Hair restoration is a major financial and emotional investment. I spent thousands of dollars trusting this practice with something deeply personal to me. Unfortunately, the changing estimates, sales pressure, procedure-day experience, conflicting aftercare instructions, lack of preparation for shock loss, concerns about the long-term hairline design, and lack of follow-up left me disappointed with the overall experience. I don't usually write reviews like this, but my experience at Celebration Salon has meant so much…read moreto me that I feel compelled to share it. Walking in for the first time, I was honestly nervous and emotional. Hair loss is such a deeply personal thing, and for a long time I didn't feel like myself anymore. But from the moment I met Rhea, something shifted. She didn't just see my hair, she truly saw me. She listened without judgment, with so much patience and compassion, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a sense of hope. What also stood out right away was how warm and welcoming the entire staff is. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with kindness and genuine care. The salon's private setting makes it feel safe to open up, and I never once feel rushed. Every step of the process was handled with such intention and attention to detail. When I finally saw the result, something so natural, so me, I actually got emotional. It wasn't just about how I looked, it was about how I felt. I felt like I had a piece of myself back. Now, I walk out of every appointment feeling lighter, more confident, and honestly, more like myself again. I can't recommend Celebration Salon enough, it's more than just a service, it's an experience that truly changes how you feel about yourself.

I knew I needed my hair taken out and re-done using the hand tied weft method (IMO this is the best method with the least amount of contact points which equals the least amount of damage) PLUS I had henna'd my hair so I desperately needed a color correction. Surprisingly, there are a lot of hair stylists who do not understand color theory/they can only install extensions- Tiffany is not one of those stylists. She knows her stuff. This has been the best experience I have had so far with extensions. She took my hair from being Ronald McDonald orange (from using henna) to a beautiful beige/blonde with a perfect level 6 foot. This woman is talented and I would highly recommend her! Not to mention, she is hilarious and was super fun to hang out and talk with during our 11 hour instal! (We had a bit of a color debacle with the extensions I got and she was able to lift a level 2 black all the way up to match my level 8 hair!) She was able to make these extensions match my hair seamlessly. I couldn't believe it. Amazing! Thanks girl!
