We called 5-6 different times with voicemails and texts before we finally got ahold of him. He came and picked up half a trailer full and said he'd be back for the rest. We have not seen or heard from him since despite multiple texts, emails, missed calls, and voicemails. Now we have a pile of junk in our backyard that has been there for a year. Towne Fire and Water Restoration does not work for its customers…read more I hired what I thought was a reputable plumber to fix a leaky washer valve. The plumber botched the job resulting in water leaking into a wall. The plumber contacted Towne, stating that they "work together regularly." Towne deemed that two walls needed to be demolished and rebuilt, involving a bathroom where a toilet and two sinks would have to be removed and reset. A Towne estimator came to my home and would not answer my questions, stating that he could not discuss them for "legal reasons." Fast forwarding, I ended up trying to reach Towne several times with no response. Finally, a scope of work was emailed to me. As I studied it, there was no mention of the restoration of my plumbing. The plumbing work was omitted from the paperwork! I FINALLY got an answer from Towne. Towne was working with the incompetent plumber, planning to have that plumber return to my home to do the restoration work!! That was never discussed with me. Why would I have the at-fault plumber return to my home to do more work? Clearly, Towne was not working for me but for the plumber! I was also asked to sign a Work Authorization prior to meeting with a project manager! I had a third party assess the wall. This impartial party quickly advised me that demolition is NOT necessary. Shame on Towne for its unprofessionalism and deceit.
