On three counts (cost, quality and reliability and/or trust) I would highly recommend you go another half a block up the road to the Canadian Tire or for the same price go to your dealer and get it done right. Had brakes (rotors and pads) done knowing there was still a bit of life left on what I had. Thought I'd get it done before the snow hit. While there the owner said I also needed tie rod ends and that also needs an alignment. Said he could hear the 'noise' that supported his theory. Fine. I was warned about taking it there by several other people but I had dealt with this place once before several years ago and had no problems. I should have listened. The tie rod ends turned out to be bad wheel bearings that I had done at the dealer later. The alignment he did resulted in uneven tire wear on my front left wheel and according to another garage I went to to get my rear brakes done only 5000 klms later said I also needed front brakes. WHAT!!!!??? They invited me into the garage and showed me that there is no way the rotors and pads on the vehicle could have been only 5k old with the amount of wear that was on them. They suggested I take it back and give the guy a chance to rectify the situation - I did and he did nothing more than lambast the other guy and defiantly denied taking my cash for nothing. He test drove my vehicle by jumping into it and launching it out of the parking lot into an empty lot as fast as he could go. He came back, got out and told me it's fine (the wheel bearings still needed to be done at this point and I had booked the appointment for that at the dealer already so now I know this guy is full of crap). I got nothing and he took me for almost a grand. Hope he rots in hell. Next stop - the better business bureau. read more
