I have been going to Helios for over a year. I can't say enough good things about this practice…read more I always feel so much better after a session. I have been treated for things like allergies, migraines and general aches and pains. The atmosphere is very calming.

UPDATE**************************…read more I asked Dr. Nobu to contact me if he had a last minute cancellation - and he did! Yay!!! On today's visit - I'm happy to report that the room was delightfully warm thanks to not one, but two heat lamps. I didn't fall asleep this time - but I think that's because I'm just super stressed right now. I snagged a parking spot right up front near the door and my knee was THRILLED. There was soft music, coupled with a sound machine with what I think were either jungle or beach sounds (lol - I wasn't super focused) but that meant I didn't hear any loud neighboring tenants or squeaky chair wheels (lol). I forgot to mention two tips in my original review: 1) If you want to tip Dr. Nobu, either remember to bring cash - or let him know before he swipes your plastic. This is the SECOND time I've forgotten and didn't have any cash for a tip. ARGH! 2) Wear loose, easy to remove clothing. Some folks disrobe down to their underwear. During my first visit - I wore a strapless bra and a big, loose maxi dress and kept all that on during the session with no problems. Today I wore a large t-shirt and big, loose, maxi skirt with a draw string - so I didn't have to undress today either - just hiked up the shirt and skirt when necessary - I'm a never-nude (my Arrested Development fans get it - LMBO). **************************************** I wonder why searching for 'Nobu' within Yelp doesn't actually return this entry - but searching Google for 'Nobu' does . . . weird . . . On to the review: Dr. Nobu is great. Very soft-spoken but seems like a very nice gentleman. His treatment of my left knee is the ONLY thing that has given me any pain relief in the past six months - so that automatically nets him 5 stars in my books. Some cons that I will list - but still not deduct any stars for: 1) There is very limited parking - so arrive early so that you can stalk people walking to their cars and snag their parking spaces as they leave. 2) Dr. Nobu does not take insurance - though you can probably file on your own. 3) The room was a little cold and the walls are thin. I could hear everything going on around me - including the chitchat from the neighboring tenant. Again - not deducting any stars because despite the fact that I was freezing, initially, and could hear everything (chitchat nextdoor, wheels squeaking on office chair) - once Dr. Nobu worked his magic on me - I actually DOZED off on the table. And I have literally never fallen asleep anywhere other than a bedroom in my entire life! This was major for me - I don't fall asleep on long road trips. I have never fallen asleep in church (lol) or under the dryer at the salon. Not even during a massage, have I ever gotten drowsy . . . so this was a testament to Dr. Nobu's skills! 4) No extended or late evening appointments - BUT he's open Sat and Sun to accommodate folks who work 9-5, Mon - Fri. So his hours 8:30am - 4:30pm, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat and Sun. He is closed on Mon and Fri. 5) Dr. Nobu's appointment calendar fills up quickly! Because of Dr. Nobu's amazing skills - he has legions of loyal clients. Plus - he travels quite a bit - so it can be difficult to book an appointment with him. He does not have an online scheduler, but he is very responsive - via text. When trying to schedule an appointment - plan ahead and be patient - he is definitely worth the wait!

He's hands down the best acupuncturist in Atlanta and far beyond (I think he's one of the best in the world). It is very clear that he has practiced for well over 30 years and that was the biggest factor for me choosing him. I had read and heard from many people that Dr. Luo helped within the first couple of visits. My story was a little different... I had been suffering from Amenorrhea for well over 8 months before finding Dr. Luo. He worked diligently on my qi using Electroacupuncture combined with custom herbal remedies. We gave it some time and when things didn't show progress he would change his approach. I know when someone is truly passionate and committed to their practice and there is no doubt that Dr. Luo is a master. My cycle returned a couple of weeks ago! I will continue to see Dr. Luo weekly while my husband and I conceive and for regular maintenance thereafter. Linda (Dr. Luo's wife) feels like a dear friend at this point. She has so much wisdom and offers great advice. I am certain they will both play an important part in my families future for years to come. Thank you!

However, they were having a sale recently and I just gave birth a few weeks ago so I figured why not give it another shot and try someone new. I just went back for a post natal massage with Tasha yesterday (3 weeks postpartum) and oh my, I have to say this was hands down the best massage I have ever had! I don't see how I could even take a chance on going to anyone else after this. She was amazing, professional, warm and made me feel so comfortable and amazing. She really took her time to work on all the areas I needed. She genuinely enjoys what she does and cares for her clients and it shows! She specializes in prenatal and postnatal massages and I will definitely use her for both moving forward, as well as anytime I need a full body massage because she's the best masseuse I've ever had! In addition to my amazing massage, other things I love about this place are the easy and free parking lot with plentiful parking right in front, the nice, laid back and professional front desk staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, linens and bathroom, and the pricing is fair and competitive with other places in the area. Location is great as well as it's right across from the beautiful Vinings Jubilee so plenty of shopping and food options nearby if you want to make a day out of it!

We said it was 1:44pm and still within the grace period, but she still refused to see us even though my wife was really sick. She does not have any compassion or care for her patients. After my appointment, I sent her a message via the Wellstar app, with another concern to be included in my labs. I followed up several times and received NOTHING. She ignored my concerns and cries for medical help!!!! I had been a patient of Dr. Shin for 5 years and the level of care has consistently and considerably declined. I will NOT be returning to her. All she talks about is your weight, diet, and exercise. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND A DOCTOR WHO CARES!!!!!
