Walking into the Jet centre and heading to the cinema I was very please to see and be able to tell you the place looked bright, tidy, professional and buzzing with people. Was impressed with the World illustrators Award exhibition that I came especially from Belfast to see. Could not believe a show of that calibre would be in NI never mind a galley I had not heard of or been to before rather than the bigger well know Belfast galleries. Also got an invite from the receptionist to the next show by Sea Court printers. Apparently when you sign up to receive emails you get invites to opening events. Pretty cool.

Back in the days when Glengormley felt like it was a thousand miles from Belfast (not 20 minutes…read moredown the road), I would wile my days away going to the cinema. This cinema, to be specific. I remember massive queues on a Friday night and constant noise on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Now, it's a different story. The cinema seems, to me at least, to be the haunt of Glengormley youths and families looking for an easy way to entertain the kids. That's fine, there are plenty of big cinemas in the town that I'm happy to go to for grown-up company. My point, however, is that the customer base has massively affected the film choice available. Nowadays, they make their money from teenage gross-out comedies or kids films. Again, not a thing wrong with that, I just never really find anything in it that I'd like to see, so I don't go.

The seats are comfy, and raised so you are not stuck with someones big head filling the screen! It's not cheap but no more expensive than the Odeon and there are other smaller screens, at cheaper prices if you're not that bothered, and size doesn't matter to you.... You can pre book seats which I love and the selection of snacks is good, love their popcorn! Worth a trip up from Belfast in my opinion, and it was extra special seeing Star Wars on the big screen!

I love this cinema! I'm always amazed at their confectionary…read moresection, they provide so much more than other local cinemas, from bags of sweets to ice cream. There are usually a good variety of viewings on, and the advertisement posters on the wall outside display the movies on offer. There's lots of free parking outside, and a pizza hut nearby for food before or after your meal. This cinema also allows pre-bookings - very beneficial when you're walking past the large queue that has usually formed to buy tickets! The cinema is also in a good location, very near to the centre of town if you want to leave the kids to do some well deserved shopping.

On the outskirts of town and with plenty of parking and eating facilities nearby, this cinema is a…read moregood choice. My one gripe is the price of snacks! As with most other cinemas, these tend to be higher than I (and I'm sure others), would want them to be. You can book in advance over the telephone or just turn up at show time. The display boards outside let you know what is on. My top tip is to remember, if you have kids, they do a Saturday morning kid's club (no it doesn't mean they take the kids off your hands and you get time to yourself but it does mean you get to take your kids to see a movie and pay far less - you might even enjoy it!).
