I feel bad taking so long to write this review. It's been on the back of my mind since my wedding…read morein April! I found Melissa through online searching and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly she responded to my inquiry for engagement photos. We met in person, checking out her portfolio and my husband and I agreed she was the style we were looking for. Getting our actual engagement shoot done was a bit of an adventure due to schedule conflicts and weather (yaaay, Texas!), but we got them done in the end and they turned out awesomely. Melissa was very sweet and professional throughout all of our communication. I had been using pinterest for ideas on poses for the wedding day and she was very open minded and flexible to the ideas I had. She even did a few of the ones I had on my pinterest page! :) Our photos were done within about 2 weeks from the wedding (some of my friends were waiting months for theirs, yuck!), and they were exactly what we hoped they'd be. Overall we had a great experience with her and I can say with confidence she was not at all stress inducing on the wedding day, like another vendor had been.

My daughter took a while to loosen up in front of the camera but never once did it feel strained or hurried. We had a lot of great photos to choose from. I would definitely use her again if we had the need for more professional photographs.

Our sincere apologies to Tim for this late review…read more In preps before my daughters Sweet 16 celebration party we were in desperate need of a photographer that was within our budget. We wanted what most people do: beautiful, classy, creative & fun. Searched every website imaginable and finally came across Tim Kyle on thumbtack.com. We viewed his website, read his reviews/ratings & were quickly impressed. I scheduled a session for my daughter as well as a long over due family photo session. In the months before we were scheduled to meet with Tim I had some questions concerning time of day, weather, any suggestions towards color coordination of our outfits for my family of four, how to position ourselves & angels that are most flattering/slimming for us. (Ladies, you know exactly what I'm referring to. Lol) Tim was kind enough to take the time to answer each one of my concerns & was even as helpful as to email me links to websites that gave great tips on how to stand or sit for photos, what colors & style clothing would look perfect for the season. The day of our photo session Tim immediately made us feel comfortable. He was very professional, with a wonderful sense of humor & an unbelievable amount of patience. We were lucky enough to be blessed with the most beautiful day in October with clear sunny skies and a nice (yet sometimes annoying) breeze. There were a number of things Tim dealt with that day that in my opinion other "professional" photographers wouldn't have. From bringing a genuine smile to my reluctant 9 year old daughters face (who's notorious for fake smiles), to the random gusts of wind blowing our hair and his equipment ever which way & lets not forget the swarm of mosquitos that decided to join us for the last hour & a half left in our session. I know some of you may say that all of the following are a part of every photographers job, but there are those few that don't consider these things as part of their job. Our silly yet reluctant child...as parent, you can only hope that you will at least have one great photo of your children with genuine smiles on their faces. So when I was able to review our prints I was extremely happy to have not only one but several wonderful photos that captured the beautiful smiles I had hoped for. The crazy gusts of wind... of course there's nothing we can do to change what happens weather wise & as I said before we were happy to have had such a beautiful day. There were moments when posing for a photo & as Tim snapped the photo the wind would blow our hair directly in our face. It was a challenge. So there were many moments where we had to take time to straighten up, which Tim was patient enough to deal with. The swarm of mosquitos...although these mosquitos were becoming extremely annoying by lingering around...I was amazed that not one us were bitten. As we try to continue on with our session, Tim suggest that we take a 10 minute break where he provided bottled water for all four of us & OFF bug spray if needed. The fact that he did all those things expressed to us just how considerate he is towards his customers feelings. Most photographers would have cared less & try to wrap up the session as quickly as possible. After our break we had a little less than an hour left to go...the mosquitos never left. So to prevent getting bit & hoping that they'd eventually fly off, we had all dowsed ourselves in OFF. It seemed to work until we noticed that all the mosquitos turned their attention towards Tim despite the many times he sprayed himself with OFF they just weren't letting up. Anyhow, after the countless times Tim was bitten he remained calm & collected. We scheduled our photo session for October 3rd, our photos were ready to view on October 13th and they were beautiful! I placed my order & my photos were delivered in a week...pretty impressive. Tim's the absolute best!! He's definitely my go to photographer for my annual family photos. Thanks for everything Tim!

I actually hired her not long before my due date and she was able to accommodate me which I am so grateful for. I was really bummed because my whole birthing experience was completely opposite of what I had on my birthplan! I went 9 days past my due date and was in the hospital for 36 hours before the arrival of my son. Kristie was amazing with her communication. I felt bad since we had to keep giving her the run around about when to show up at the hospital, but she kept up with connecting with my family to ensure she was there to capture the moment. After telling Kristie multiple times to hold off heading to the hospital, my doctor ordered a C-section and the baby would arrive in less than an hour! Everything was such a blur and went by so fast, so I am SO glad I decided to get birthing photos. Kristie was able to rush over and get there just in time to capture the most beautiful, candid, poignant moments... even though I had a C-section! The pictures came out so lovely, and she even made a sweet little video which she posted pretty immediately on Facebook. Every time I look at the pictures I can't help but cry. My only regret is I didn't get to spend hardly any time getting to know her since she was busy doing her thing, but I am excited to work with Kristie again to capture some more precious photos of my son as he grows. Thank you, Kristie!
