Love, love, love the Raclette Factory…read more Really wanted to have another Raclette experience while in Switzerland. The first was in Lucerne and we loved it! Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Lamine Yamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! Thank you to Flavio who really made our experience at the Raclette Factory a highlight of our visit to Zurich. Service was amazing and he gave us great recommendations. Definitely a night to remember.

Raclette is a dish of melted cheese over potatoes or bread. Which is very good, just extremely rich! I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm all about cheese, but this was a lot! The prices are very high for what you are actually eating, and we almost order the 'all you can eat" option, because it seemed like a good deal. So glad we didn't, because I would have had a tough time trying to eat another pile of melted cheese! We did order the "world best" garlic bread, which was good, but only average... not the world's best!

The…read moreestablishment is renowned for its Swiss classics, including rotisserie-cooked chicken, prepared using seasonal, fresh ingredients. Situated within a historic tower in the heart of Zurich, La Rôtisserie is located. Formerly a coaching inn, the structure retains several original characteristics, including the wooden beams and the lofty ceilings. In a traditional Swiss design, the dining room is adorned with red and white striped tablecloths and wooden tables and benches. Additionally, the restaurant features a cozy bar where patrons can enjoy a drink before or after dinner. The La Rôtisserie menu showcases an extensive assortment of Swiss fare, comprising: Rotisserie-prepared chicken: The chicken is succulent and has a crisp exterior due to its cooking over an open fire. Various side dishes, including roasted potatoes, vegetables, and rice, are served with the chicken. This traditional Swiss dish, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, consists of veal cutlets cooked in a creamy mushroom sauce. Rosti, a variety of Swiss potato pancakes, typically accompanies it. Älplermagronen is a substantial Swiss entrée composed of potatoes, bacon, and cheese. This popular winter dish is available at La Rôtisserie throughout the year. Rosti: Rosti is a variety of Swiss potato pancakes composed of bacon, grated potatoes, and onions. Although it is frequently paired with Swiss dishes, it can also be savored independently. Aside from the main course, La Rôtisserie also offers a daily specials menu comprised of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The daily specials menu at La Rôtisserie is subject to frequent changes, ensuring that patrons are consistently presented with novel offerings. Additionally, La Rôtisserie offers an extensive wine list featuring an assortment of Swiss and international wines. An enthusiastic sommelier curates the wine list and is always willing to assist diners in selecting the ideal wine to complement their entree. The staff at La Rôtisserie is courteous and dedicated. Every staff member is delighted to respond to inquiries regarding the menu or the wine list. Additionally, they eagerly offer suggestions considering your dietary restrictions or personal preferences. The following are supplementary particulars regarding my experience at La Rôtisserie that I have neglected to mention thus far: I commenced my repast by slicing carpaccio de boeuf fumé, which consists of smoked beef. After being sliced thinly, the carpaccio was garnished with a delectable Parmesan cheese dressing. I ordered poulet rôti à la broche (rotisserie-cooked chicken) for my main course. The chicken was rendered succulent and had skin that was perfectly browned. Side dishes of roasted potatoes and vegetables accompanied the dish. I consumed tarte au citron meringuée (lemon meringue tart) for dessert. The tart featured a delectable lemon filling and a meringue topping; it was airy and light. In addition, a glass of Chasselas wine accompanied my meal. Chasselas is a Swiss wine renowned for its fruity and crisp aroma. It worked exceptionally well with the chicken. In general, my dining experience at La Rôtisserie was exceptional. The ambiance was inviting and warm, the service was excellent, and the food was delectable. It is highly recommended to anyone in Zurich searching for a traditional Swiss eatery.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. The food was excellent! We loved every bit of it! The Onion Essence was our favorite. I had the wagyu steak, and it was the best wagyu I've had. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired well with everything it came with. Thank you so much for good food memories here.

The interior is clean, the restaurant closes at 11 pm (which suits our later dinner schedule). The restaurant is separated 2 sections, the section to the right of the bar is cheaper than the portion to the left of the bar. Here, each dish comes with a bowl of rice, with the price ranging from CHF 14-22. On the left of the bar, each dish is about CHF 10 more expensive and comes as a traditional plate of food without a side of rice. We ordered 6 dishes to share amongst the 6 of us and the portion was just right. The chef is a Cantonese chef, and the dishes were mostly very well done. We had the stir fried beef with onion (pretty good), sze Chuan pork (very tasty- would recommend it), red cooked fish (which wasn't that good), mushroom chicken with bamboo shoots (pretty good, then bamboo shoots were not foul smelling), char siew pork (wouldn't really recommended it as it came with a funny smell), stir fried pork with mixed vegetables (just ok). Food came out very quickly. They don't serve tap water (so do bring your own water). I would recommend it if you want a decent Chinese meal for the night.

Single best vegetarian restaurant I've been to in my life. I went to two different locations…read morebecause I couldn't believe it was so good. A buffet with fifty or so super fresh offerings at a great price. They say they're the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Maybe. I'd check China and India.

Yelp Review 2026 #64:…read more I'm not vegetarian and definitely not vegan. But I will dabble with the veg from time to time. Hiltl is popular for being the world's oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Here's information I will share that I wish was available before planning to come here. You must make a reservation for lunch/ dinner because that's when they're busy. Breakfast is for walk-ins and they don't do reservations. Hop on their website and be sure you're on the right location because they have several within a 2-mile radius...some on the same street. I went here to try their breakfast buffet. I wasn't sure how busy they got for breakfast so, I got here at 6:30am because I got the wrong information online! They open at 7am. Different locations have different hours. Check their website for actual hours and don't trust review site information because it's wrong! They're not busy for breakfast at all. There's 2 ways to do their buffet. You can pay a fixed price and fill your plate multiple times or go and fill your plate once and pay based on the weight of your food - you get free bread. I did the pay-by-weight option. I have a whole day of eating planned so, I wasn't about to fill up for breakfast. When they opened at 7am, they were still putting the food out one by one. By 7:20, all the food was out which was fine. I was in no rush. The spread includes fresh fruits, cheeses, butter, margarine, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, mango mousse, mango chia pudding, banana chocolate brownie crumble, a pear dessert (with cream, vanilla and orange), rosti, scrambled eggs, potato salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, beets, chickpeas, olives, couscous, corn salad, olives, asparagus, green peas, feta cheese, hardboiled eggs, curry salad, dolmades, broccoli and edamame, artichoke salad, bulgur salad, tabbouleh, orecchiette tofu salad, Thai salad, hummus, guacamole, muhammara, etc. They have 6 types of bread. Slice a piece and toast it yourself. Vegan and vegetarian food tend to taste strongly of coconut/ coconut milk and I don't like that. My favorites from the buffet include chocolate mousse, mango mousse, banana chocolate brownie crumble, dolmades, asparagus, orecchiette tofu salad, and Thai salad. I got a mango lassi to drink which I didn't like. It had curry powder. Service was pleasant. The restaurant was clean.
