I haven't received my check at all. I worked on Feb. 14, 2025 doing an alcohol demo and I still haven't received my money. This company don't pay you till 30 to 60 days?? This place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau!! Horrific time management ineptitude on their end, while they threaten to fine you $100 if a problem occurs! They make you financially cover the cost of the event, only to wait months and months to even be paid back. Why these people think we need to become their proverbial event " bank" is atrocious! I have an extensive background with with Mobile Marketing agencies, and have represented brands such as Mattel, Little Tykes, Johnson and Johnson, Purina, Cerave, just to name a tiny few. I do not recommend doing work for this agency - everything has been a nightmare from bookings, lack of directions, unprofessionalism, and the worst - getting paid. Any job where you have to ask for your paycheck - IS A SCAM. They do not understand or abide by the laws in other states where they do business. They made me sign up with this agency after I did the work, with no mention of it before. So in order to get paid, you have to sign their 'modeling' contract after already completing the job? Hmmm I had a bad first experience with them where the cancelled the zoom onboarding meeting with me and the other new model, and we literally had no direction on what to do when we got to an event - there was nothing set up. Very strange. They had us go around to a list of different bars they gave us, however one of the bars was at capacity with a super long line and the bouncers didn't want to let us in so we went to the next one - and then this agency caused drama because of this. Not okay. They tried booking me for another event, but I ignored the emails because of the first bad experience, and that is when Jessica Bent Kistler (Jessica Kistler) began texting and requested to book soon after I sent pictures. I finally looked at it and saw the pay was reasonable, so I accepted the booking and confirmed through the portal. I booked out for other jobs because of this booking and even got my roots touched up to be on point, but then of course Jessica pulls something shady and says I'm no longer needed, but is trying to make up lies to get out of paying me... Very unprofessional / also completely illegal. So now I've had two bad experiences after only working with them for 3 months? Save yourself some stress and just decline their offers. read more

I worked events for them for over a year, but had to stop because I was getting tired of having to constantly contact them and bother them in order to be paid. I had to resend invoices all the time, continually remind them that they had to reimburse me, and still they would never pay within a month. Sometimes it took 2 months. I had to threaten them with legal action, because the state of New York finally has passed laws that say a freelancer must be paid within 30 days of their last day of work. So remember that ladies! Don't let them stiff you or tell you that "the client hasn't paid yet"- it's illegal. read more

They lure you in with a higher hourly rate than any other company and then take OVER 3 months to pay. They lie and tell you "the client hasn't paid yet" but of course, the client paid them before you even worked the event. They repeat this lie to everyone and have done so for years. Their contract states it could take "up to three months" for payment. This is unacceptable. NO other company takes this long. 6 weeks MAXIMUM, and that's rare. It is also simply untrue because they take even longer than 3 months to pay. (several reviews say they never paid at all). I had to send them multiple emails after every event I ever worked, in order to finally get paid. I never went back. Having worked in this industry for many years, it seems as though some of the booking agents are not being attentive to 1st the Payment, especially when you have spent your own money out of pocket and 2nd..past the 60 days is just not good business for an independent contractor. Especially when asked at the hire date "How often is it 30 day's out" NEVER...LOL They should be held accountable for the payment whether the client pays them or not! In business for 20+ years??? A company of this "stature" should not make those types of excuses...M&G should have the resources to pay their hires rather than have the excuse blaming the Company that hired them... Poor Business...Do not let the high hourly disguise your most likely frustration with the difficulties this company is sure to offer!! Someone from the agency deactivated my account and falsely labeled me as 'unprofessional', when I hadn't even emailed anyone in over a year, except to ask why I wasn't receiving email blasts... I asked for documentation to show me having an attitude and being unprofessional. Lo and behold my request was disregarded. That's because it doesn't exist... What's unprofessional is leaving me to find out this information on my own instead of informing me -- for the sake of common courtesy for someone who's been with their agency for like 7 years now. What's even more unprofessional -- Not putting some stock into their models and elaborating on the details she was supposedly given by these "bookers", and giving me a chance to tell my side of the story before just hastily removing me from the database... Although there's not much to tell being nothing was even said... I responded to a handful of BAs less than a year ago saying negative things about Michele & Group on the 'Beware of Bad Staffing Agencies' facebook page and actually stuck up for them. Honestly my favorite company to work for. They always pay on time, which is huge in this industry. Other companies have had me waiting for months and M&G gets me paid quickly. Also they only book nice events, the kind you want to work which makes it that much more enjoyable and something to look forward to doing. read more
