He reached out advertising his services, sounded extremely interested in taking on my case, and made it seem like I had a strong chance at a positive outcome. He assured me he would handle everything thoroughly and professionally. Unfortunately, hiring him was a complete waste of time and money. From start to finish, I felt like nothing was actually done to defend me. I ultimately lost the case and ended up in the exact same position I was in before hiring him except now I was out thousands of dollars in legal fees. There was no strategy, no proactive communication, and no meaningful action taken that changed the outcome. I constantly had to reach out for updates. I rarely received proactive communication. Each time we spoke, I had to repeat the same information over and over again because he didn't seem to remember previous conversations. It felt incredibly disorganized and frustrating, especially during an already stressful legal situation. When I first contacted the office, his secretary was on vacation, so he was answering the phones himself. During that call, he struggled to take down basic information like my email address, repeatedly getting frustrated and saying, "This is a woman's job. I shouldn't have to be doing this". "This is why I keep messing up. This job is for women." I was shocked by how unprofessional and inappropriate those comments were. Instead of focusing on helping a potential client, he was visibly irritated and making sexist remarks. Throughout the case, I felt like I had to manage him rather than the other way around. I was constantly following up, reminding him of details, and pushing for progress. Even then, nothing meaningful seemed to get done. The experience was stressful, disorganized, and disappointing. After going through this, I later learned that others have had similar issues, which unfortunately makes sense based on my experience. When you hire an attorney during a difficult time, you're placing trust in someone to guide and advocate for you. Instead, this experience made an already overwhelming situation far worse. (JSH) There are a ton of personal attorneys in Arizona. After researching the top 10 attorneys in AZ, I just decided to take a chance on a very highly advertised firm, " The Husband & Wife Law Team". After finding out there involvement and support in the community and their large family and type of parents they are, I decided these are the kind of people I want to represent me. Well I cannot tell you how impressed I was with their service. Ever had a question or made a call. It was dealt with then and there.. I ended up in the hospital for a few days, how they found out I have no idea, totalLy unrelated to the accident and when I came home, there was a gift box in my mailbox with all kinds of bathing needs. Soap , shampoo...etc..etc... Been working with law practices in Arizona & Chicago for the last 22 years and I never heard of anything like this. Never even met these folks, everything was done via phone and Verisign. W a few months, I got a settlement far greater than I anticipated. Surprised me, but expected knowing the type of experience this firm has.. Every couple of months or so I get a surprise in the mail, a car carrier, umbrella, or something that is actually useful and something that I can actually use rather than some ridiculous knickknack/chochkie that you put in a closet someplace and never use. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE CON-ARTIST! I am embarrassed that I hired these guys to represent me. My Father had passed away, and by surprise there was no will...the next step was to hire a probate lawyer to help us figure out what would happen to our Fathers ROTH IRA retirement funding. Well, apparently my Step-Mom who was married to my Dad less than 5 years tried to go behind our backs and request that she be (PR) and have full control to obtain the money and pocket it. My Brother found Keyt Law, which was an okay firm...I guess I just rolled with it because we were desperate and only had $2500.00 to spare and I thought we found honest caring people that would help our situation because I had no issues with my Dad and I clearly had no idea why he did not make a will. Also, I was not sure why he did not leave my Step-Mom as a beneficiary so she could just control it if that was the case, but to her surprise she was not. After we hired Norman Keyt to represent us he was responsive and attentive at first, but as soon as we signed the check over to the firm it was day and night with communication. I remember at one point leaving a voice-mail and NEVER getting a returned call to help me with the situation and keep me up to date with what was going on with my Fathers estate. I am not saying I deserve that money either, because I was not a beneficiary as well and for anyone reading this review can think when it comes to money everyone becomes greedy, but this is not the case...I just wanted a fair shake and I know that Keyt Law and the firm were "Just doing their Job," and nothing can be taken personal, but you can't help but get a little emotional and feel defeated when you hire someone to help and assist you and you really feel that they didn't help you, but rather they took your money, sent a few emails, and called it a day. I would not recommend ANYONE to this firm because they will eat up your money and NEVER call you, unless you fork over more funding to them...then you might get an extra email sent out to you, which probably runs about $500.00 bucks, so use it wisely. The phrase, "You live and learn" is very true to this situation because even the Lawyer on my Step-Mom's side made an error, but guess who was charged for that mistake? You guessed it, we were! How is that even possible? My Step-Mom's Lawyer stated that my brother and I had given up our rights by written notice...by WRITTEN notice which I know for a fact that I did not have anything in writing stating that I have given up my rights to have her in charge and be PR, but somehow they found a letter from us stating that we did? Huh...I guess I shouldn't be surprised at all because when looking up my Step-Mom's social multiple names come up along with her name being different as well. Good luck to anyone who hires these guys...I hope you have a better experience than my Brother and I.
