When it was time to pay, the owner increased the price by $5.75. The customer complained and said that wasn't the deal. The proprietor then lost his temper and literally yelled at the table where the game was being played, "Everyone pack up the game and get out!" On top of having to pay for the girl who was teaching the group how to play, she was excellent by the way and probably should go look for a job elsewhere, each player also payed a $10 fee to sit at his table and purchased junk food, drinks. He may have had a bad day or was just an ill tempered man. However, no proprietor should ever treat his customers this way. First time I've witnessed such behaviour.

But once you get past that you will actually see that he has far more knowledge about board games than anybody in the entire city. He goes way back, so can tell you about nearly any game period. From all the times I've spoken with him I can tell he has his finger on the pulse of the industry. I've began explaining a game mechanic to him of a game I played years prior and he immediately named it. Give the dude a break and try them out. On a side note his wife, although not as knowledgeable, is a pleasure to deal with all the way. I do not agree with previous commentators about prices, it is actually comparable and falls within the price I expect off boardgamegeek.
