They recently put in new self checkout machines. I went to use them and had a hard time using my coupon because the image wasn't displaying correctly from the email. (You could barely see that barcode) When you press that you need assistance a little tiny light on the top of the machine lights up. It displays a message that someone will be on their way shortly but I still had to ask someone to come and help. She saw us standing there but I'm not sure if she realized that we had called for help or how that process works. I'm not sure why Michael's doesn't have it set up when you put your phone number in it automatically it pulls up your coupons. So I ended up having to sign in to my account online, in order to get onto my account and then finally was able to use my coupon. I can only imagine how frustrating this would be for an elderly customer. Would definitely recommend corporate to take a look at these machines to find a better way for customers to make their purchases. Especially if you want people like me to continue shopping there. I have no problem with self check out but I do have a problem with it not working. Either update your email codes so you can actually see the barcode or have it load when you put in your number. If you come here hoping to use any coupons I definitely recommend using the cashier lane instead.

Good selection of items... Anything related to drawing, painting, arts and crafts. A bit more expensive than Hobby Lobby, which surprised me because the store looks kind of ugly and disorganized.

Michael's is awesome for everything arts and crafts and even has toys. We stopped by this afternoon for a couple things. The great thing about Michael's is the variety of items and their organization makes finding things easy. My daughter likes browsing the kid craft isles. The service is usually good but tonight there was only one register open so checkout took a long time. Other than that I love Michael's and could lose track of time exploring in there.

This Michael's is bigger than the one in Oviedo and stocks more professional floral arrangements, which are gorgeous and reasonably priced!

"There arent any card shops in Orlando!" THIS IS IT GUYS!!!…read more I looooove this place. I come after school from UCF every chance I get since it's right down the road. The workers are always more than eager to help and will give great recommendations if you ask. I usually just come for Pokemon cards, which they have a ton of selections for! But they have tons and tons of other card selections, board games and a huge area to sit down and play if that's your thing! Im pretty sure theres a beverage area in the back too! (Will update with pics next time i go in) And pro tip from a worker: dont be scared to pick up some Japanese packs for Pokemon! Theyre way cheaper than American and the quality is a lot more likely to be Mint than anything. Take your kids or your nerdy boyfriend here for a good experience.

This space has a variety of Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Lorcana, and more for you to collect or pick something up for someone you know who's into the hobby. The staff here hosts a variety of events including trade nights, and they have plenty of seating where you can open the product you buy or play a few rounds of games. The price of product is marked up of course, as the market right now is out of control for cards, but they do have loose packs and single cards that are fairly priced imo. I'd love to come back and try out some drinks when I have some downtime!

This red beauty is a beginner's RC helicopter. I call her Red Fandango :) You walk in and you can't get your eyes off the remote control model planes that are hanging from the ceiling. I was really taken back by the amount of model aircrafts Bob carries. From state of the art jets to war plane replicas, they have hobbies to meet every budget. My heli was about $49 and my boyfriend purchased a higher-end for about $129. A week later, we're still flying our toys just about every day for kicks. The best experience was their customer service. David and the rest of the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell this is their hobby as well since they take time to answer every question and provide a wealth of information. I had zero knowledge and didn't want to spend too much and David pointed out the perfect beginner's heli. When it's time to upgrade, I will definitely give them my business again.
