Brenda Bohn made this gorgeous finished on the back with a wire and plastic feet - she also does custom pencil drawings of your pets!
Heather C.

Brenda Bohn was amazing at putting together two semi custom frames, I bought them each for $35 at a store in Germantown and then bought 2 $60 frames and the matting was $250 for the frame costs from michaels - gorgeous art for $150 each, Brenda also does custom pencil drawings of your pets!

Love ordering on line to pick up in the store. The staff is always helpful. Great deals on floral, holiday decor, crafting projects.

Over the years my 3 daughters and I have done more than our share of crafting, and much more than our share of browsing in craft stores.

Because of this, it takes a little bit longer to receive your goods, but no longer than some other regular fabric shops. The fabric I received is thin. A lot of light passes through. As far as the look, the designs look exactly as depicted on the web page. I ordered white-on-white, so I can't report on color. Some of the selveges are as wide as 4 - 5 inches, so you aren't getting the full amount of useable material. I haven't unfolded all the pieces so there could be some misprint surprises waiting for me. I ordered some panels, but the fabric is so thin, that I don't know how I can use them unless I underline them with another fabric. You get what you pay for. Looking at google reviews - take the time to read the one star reviews and I think you will see a…read moretheme. Should have done that to begin with. (Today is 3/2) I put my sewing machine in for a tune up on 2/1. It had been in storage so I needed it cleaned and oiled. Was told 2 weeks and expect an email when it was ready. Never heard anything by week 3 so I called. That call went like this: Me: Hello I wanted to check and see if my sewing machine is ready (Barely let me get the last syllable out and had a pretty rude demeanor) Lady: No, it will be ready next week (Never even let me say my name or asked my name) Me: ummm ok Awkward silence ... hung up The lady did call me back and leave a cheery VM asking me to call back. I did not. Honestly, I was mad and decided I was going to go up and get it whether it was done or not. I did give it a few more days and went to pick it up. The lady said she thought I was the one that called and I never called her back and I didn't identify myself. I did tell her she didn't give me the opportunity to say anything else with her rude response and I was irritated so I didn't call back. Well that did it, attitude from there on out. She said she had a full store when I called - I guess that excuses her rudeness? Did I check my emails - yes. Did I check my junk mail - yes. Well they sent 3 emails (shrugs shoulders) it's been done since 2/8. I did say a phone call would have been nice. Turns out they typed my email wrong even though I had written it down. Overall, She was super rude, snotty, and confrontational over nothing - also, another person was in the store standing right there for the exchange. Either way. I didn't care it was taking longer. I wasn't in a rush. I just wanted a tune up and had called to check status when it had been an additional week. Dang this should have been the simplest thing to pick up my machine but was honestly unnecessarily negative. If you need anything sewing related just got to Mid South Sewing a little further down the road. My fault for not wanting to go further into town and stopping at this place.

DO NOT bring your children here, or yourself…read more The staff and owners are VERY rude. I brought my daughter and her friends here for her birthday and none of the girls could talk during the three hour class, or they were blamed for not listening. I called three times prior to the class to check in on a couple of details for the class, and no one ever called me back Three times! Unprofessional. As I am spending $65/person x 5 people! They advertise as a cooking class, but each kid gets one minimal task as they go around in a semi-circle and wait for their turn again. While they wait, they have nothing to do but stand there for hours, not talking. They can't even talk to each other or else they get in trouble by the instructors. Why are they not cooking and being instructed?! (As advertised). The building is in an unsafe area. Upon arrival (10 minutes before class time started), the door was locked. Based on the feeling that there was NO WAY I was leaving my children and their friends here. The staff said I could stay, however the owner of Curious Kitchen saw through a camera that I was sitting in the room and asked me to leave. Why is she unknowingly watching the children? They would not let me stay in the same room as the children, but instead I had to sit in the next room for three hours waiting. Why not let a paying customer be in the same room as their kids? Why lock the children into the building? Isn't this against fire code? When I called the owner to ask if I could stay in the room , a huge argument arose. Both of the co-owners, mother and daughter are absolutely horrific. Horrible attitudes. Defensive. Rude. I am shocked that they are still in business. The food was poor quality and tasteless. How do you mess up pigs in a blanket? The potato wedges were cold. DO NOT SPREAD YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! - - - - - - RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE- - - - - -- - I would hope that you take your feedback seriously. I also can not believe that you are still in business with the way you treat your customers. You are claiming that the things I noted about my experience visiting your business are false...they are nothing but TRUTH. Let me be clear, I spoke with BOTH of the co-owner's yesterday - the mother and and daughter yesterday. I was on the speaker phone with the woman that you called a .....and I quote "RACIST" because of the safety issues she experienced outside of your business yesterday. Not only that, you hung up on her. Neither of you stopped talking long enough to let us, the paying customers speak about our negative experiences. We were both having these negative experiences at the same time, which validated both of our feelings. Let me also be clear that I called THREE times before I visited your establishment. I never received even one call back dialing the number that is clearly listed on your web page (615-956-6077). My husband heard me leave all 3 messages and each one was left after a message stating it was the Curious Kitchen. Thus, another validation that I was calling the correct place. I wanted to gather information on a private event - 10th birthday for my daughter. Boy, am I glad I never got ahold of either of you and spent more money than I already have! Regarding the "safety", or lack thereof. Why would I want to do a cooking class for myself or my children that requires for everyone to be locked in because the neighborhood is so unsafe? Also - you skirted around the fact that IT IS AGAINST FIRE CODE TO LOCK CHILDREN INSIDE OF A BUILDING. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE COOKING AND HOT OVENS AND FIRE ARE INVOLVED. In regards to the food - you do not provide QUALITY INGREDIENTS. I can bake food in my kitchen that is much better quality. So for you to blame it on the kids since they prepared the food - it's disgraceful. And no - the potato wedge wasn't cold "because parents are invited in after the children have already eaten." I was there before they even got their food because I never left and pushed into the next room. Thus, I was there the entire last 30 minutes of class. Nice try though! AGAIN - DO NOT ATTEND ANY CLASS HERE. THIS PEOPLE SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

My girls loved the Grinch-themed menu (Who Hash, Roast Beast, etc) & the fact that it was kids only (ages 6-15). Everything was geared toward them from the countertop height to cooking utensils. Really well thought out & both asked to come back again. Will definitely come back for a family or couples class.

Everyone here was so sweet and welcoming, and generously shared information about classes, group meetups, and other fiber arts offerings. They have a wide selection of higher end yarns like marino wool and alpaca which I haven't seen at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. What sold me most is they are a great resource to tap into their knowledge of fibers and techniques. I would not go there to get a kit for your teen to start learning on, get cheaper yarn elsewhere. But for an afghan that will last a lifetime, get the good quality yarn found here. They also have group sessions on Thursday from 1-3 and Friday from 5-7 to meet with other knitters to work on your project and socialize. I recommend you try it.
