This is a big craft store. The girls and I had fun looking at all the options. They didn't have every single thing we needed so I still had to buy a few things offline when we went home but it wasn't bad. They had a decent number of sale items and discounts on some of things we wanted so that was nice. The woman working at the front was rude and dismissive, we politely told her we needed balloons and she grumbled and told us it would take an hour. The waiting is not what disappointed us; we were upset by how rude she was when we checked to see how the balloons were. As we walked past, we heard her and the assistant discussing how much they hate this job, people "like us" who order lots of balloons, and how they should have left work sooner. She then proceeded to not clarify what "blow the balloons up individually" meant and did not do as we requested twice. We were getting the balloons for a memorial service and were already upset, I hope that something is done to ensure that this does not happen to costumers in the future. read more

Service was terrible! Put in an order online, on a Sunday afternoon for pickup. You would think 3 hours later they could fill an order of 7 of the same kind foam ornament kits. They had 33 in stock. Called in to talk to them. Got lame excuses from the kid. Asked for the manager. He said he would go immediately to fill it. Husband goes in 10 minutes later and still not filled. The kid went to get it. Had to come back and get the order number. It literally only took 2 minutes to grab it and bring it to the front. They are lazy if they couldn't do it in 3 hours. I placed an order online for drive up. When I went to the store to pick my order up. I waited in the car for about 5 minutes and decided to go in. There was no one in line, so I walked to the cashier and told her I am here to pick up my order. She went to the back to get the order. She was back there for a few minute when another lady walked to the front of the store and asked was I there for a pick up order, I told her yes and she they couldn't find my order. The original lady walked out and gave me my order. She said it was under another order. I waited a total of 15 minutes for a drive up order. read more

I paid over $200 for a framing project. They told me it would take 2 days. I dropped off Thursday morning, and Monday evening they still weren't ready. When I had called to ask about them they woman on the phone was very rude to me. She kept interrupting me and told me "well if I could get off the phone I could get to them." And her other excuse is that they were closed Sunday. Which didn't matter because they originally told me Friday, then Friday they said Saturday. And then Saturday turned into Monday. When I went to pick them up she told me "it usually takes a hour and a half per frame but we had to rush through yours." So a 3 hour project was rushed into 1 hour. When you had 4 days .... I was very unhappy with the customer service. I will be taking my custom frame jobs to hobby lobby. read more

Everything went fine on my visit until I started the check out process. My cashier, Sarah, asked me if I was a member of the rewards program and I stated I didn't know. She asked for my email address and phone then told me I wasn't in the system, but I was now signed up. She signed me up without asking my permission. I told her to remove me and she said she couldn't that I'd have to wait for an email. I returned the items I'd bought and I will no longer be shopping at Michael's. read more

Is there anything artsy that this store doesn't have?? Nope!! I go here specifically for my scrapbooks cause I love to use little props in my pages and they have sooo much variety to choose from. Customer service is great and policies are great too. No complaints. read more

The store is nice and new however the service is sub par! Stood at the Internet pickup point for almost twenty minutes pushing the service button! Finally called and asked for the manager. It wasn't until then that I was assisted. What worse is every time the service button is pushed you can hear it. read more

How to open a new store, the Michael's way... Step 1: Secure a prime location in a busy retail location (i.e. - Turkey Creek) Step 2: Spend a couple million bucks (more probably...) on permits, site renovations, inventory, security system, employee training, etc. Step 3: Spend $50 for one of those cool, "Grand Opening" signs to hang out front (thanks BTW for not having someone out front in a monkey suit or other stupid gimmick!) Step 4: Actually entice me, a consumer, to stop by and check out the new store (kudos, this was the intent right?) Step 5: Cheap out on having enough $9/hour employees to actually take my money, thus invalidating all efforts expended in steps 1-4 So yes, I stopped by today and the store is nice. Nice enough I was actually going to make a purchase. I got in line with 20 other people while we watched the two cashiers work to check everyone out. While standing in line, I heard two other people say they weren't waiting in that line and just put their items down and walked out. While waiting on someone to do a "price check" (I have an uncanny ability to trigger those in people ahead of me in line...) I pulled up my phone and found the item I held in my hand online, so I just ordered it in line and walked out. Granted, it won't be here for a couple of days but it will likely still arrive by the time I would have made it through the line anyway. And everyone wonders why retail is dying... read more
