Mike consistently delivers exceptional customer service. Every time I visit the store, he goes above and beyond to help. He's knowledgeable across all departments, friendly, and attentive--always taking the time to listen without making me feel rushed. He even went out of his way to assist when I couldn't find my coupon. During a recent visit, I needed a photo framed for my mom's 80th birthday and was short on time. After I explained what I was looking for, Mike thoughtfully presented three beautiful options. Once I made my selection, he generously offered to assemble the frame on the spot, which was incredibly helpful. Very poor customer service, asked for help multiple times from multiple workers and only got attitude and sassed for not knowing where things were, was told to hurry up when looking when i went in 30 min before closing cause she wanted to "close early" do not recommend going. read more

Don't ever give these people your email address. They will bombard you with ads and junk and they WILL NEVER TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST! Also, never enough cashiers or sales people. They need someone who knows how to staff and manage a store. read more

This store has very friendly helpful staff. Love the selection and value in items included in sales. I especially like the floral supply areas. I've found everything I need to make beautiful wedding flowers for our son and his fiancee's wedding! I also love the selection of wood crafts. I've had so much fun painting and decorating the unfinished doll house they sell. There are many paint options,and I found the perfect colors for the doll house. I'd also recommend the fairy garden supplies. A visit to Michael's is extra fun in the winter. I enjoy fairy gardens both outdoors and indoors is a fun way to keep an imaginative colorful fun going year round. read more

Michael's is a great store all sorts of selections and awesome and helpful employees. They have adult crafts and lots of kid safe and fun stuff. The value of there items are really good and last a while. It is a grate store to go get birthday Presents and a lot of other stuff. All though there stuff can be expensive I would go on Black Friday it is a great deal. read more

I have worked retail for over 45 years. If I could have given a zero, Michael's would have gotten it. "Customer Service" is really lacking in this store. Part of customer service is to price items when put on display. I was in your store today and over 50% of the items I looked at weren't priced. Granted there was a sign for 40% or 50% off. But off what? I was in the store for the Big Twist yarn. Small display and poor selection of colors. Don't like Caron yarn (price just jumped $2). Not a fan anymore. The drive to Spokane Valley is going to be the way to go. read more

If 0 stars were an option that's what I would've chosen. I placed a pick up order at 10:16am and never got a message it was ready. So we went in at 4:30pm to grab it ourselves and all 3 employees were extremely rude and continued to say "we close in two hours so we're not going to pick your order today." It was a mess up on their part, and they were extremely rude when we took our receipt and the product up to the counter to easily mitigate the situation. Every experience here is awful. read more

If its more than a poster...Frame it somewhere else My Michal's framed pictured slipped, they cut open the framed picture and told me they don't fix, they only frame. Slapped some paper and tape on the holes they cut open on the back. Horrible experience! Under staffed and under qualified/trained. Michael's has wiped out the local art stores and replaced them with robot check out stands, uncaring associates who don't take initiative to ask if someone needs help, and jacked up art supply prices. I would buy a lot more if there was a human at the counter or if someone were to see I was struggling finding something instead of walk right past me hyper focused on their job. This is not just one person but three today in one visit. This is insane. I don't want your business if you make me hunt you guys down and also check everything out myself. This is the saddest Michaels I've ever seen. Nothing outside, granted it's 95-100 degrees outsides. Upon entering there's just a back-to-school type plastic nothings on display. Hardly any inventory. I actually love Michaels arts and crafts and go there at least once a week, but THIS one in Coeur d'Alene does not have half of the stuff the one in Spokane does. There are only a few employees that know their stuff, (the ones that have been there quite a while). The only really complaint I would have is that the lines are long. They only have one or two check stands open at a time, which sucks. For the small city we are in, Michaels and Joanns is pretty much it. read more

Store itself is well organized and clean but I don't shop here fully (sometimes at all) unless there is a sale or Clearance on the furthest seen aisle racks. For general reasons such as above, at this store I give it a more fair minded 3 but wait times seem longer here. Not only that "Do you have an email?" is too misleading a way to ask rather: "Would you like to be on our mailing list?" which is more time saving and courteous to customers. Its lacking the latter. Last time they asked I said I was already on the mailing list, double time, for I knew how to define their generalized question. But for most, who doesn't have an email address, right? They don't carry the teddy bears anymore (at least at this CDA store). I'd also say Moderate but its also on the higher scale side of it depending on what you are buying. read more

I recently took a picture and frame to your Frame Department. I wanted a mat so the picture would fit in the frame. The man in the department was cranky and not helpful. He quoted me an outrageous price to mat the picture and offered no suggestions as to how he could do it more reasonably. I went to another place and was quoted a price $65 less than his quote. I agree that their customer service is terrible. I took an expensive professional family portrait to them for framing. They spilled something that looked like glue on the photo, and not only did they take no responsibility, but they actually accused me of having spilled something on it! Then, when I got angry, Jessica, the girl working in the framing department actually laughed! I do not recommend either. read more
