I'll start with the trite comment about giving zero stars if I could. My sister booked Bella Events…read moreand put down a deposit in Spring 2021 for her wedding in Nov. 2022. This week, Marsha sent my sister an email stating that she was cancelling my sister's reservation for another wedding of 350 guests. Apparently someone is being deployed, and my sister's date was the only one that worked. I'm sorry, WHAT? The entire point of putting a deposit down on a date is so that someone else cannot book it out from under you. Not only that, but the least she could have done was called my sister instead of leaving it up to email. What if it had gone to spam? Additionally, she should have called around to other caterers to see who was available on that date, and then referred my sister to them (instead of making my sister scramble to find someone else). If I'm being REALLY honest, Marsha should have referred this other party to another caterer, but this one was going to make her more money than my sister's, so screw the smaller wedding, right? Unless you like to play things fast and loose when it comes to wedding planning, book a different caterer. She's clearly only driven by bigger paydays and will leave you high and dry at the drop of the hat.

Creative Occasions Flowers & Events is a family-owned, local boutique-style floral design studio…read moreand gift shop located across the street from the historic Dogwood Restaurant on E. Lee Street in downtown Vinton, Virginia. For 31 years now it has delivered beautiful handcrafted arrangements and event florals across the Roanoke Valley. After having had breakfast at the Vinton Café, my eyes caught the three colorful balloons hanging from a sidewalk sign placed right in front of the flower shop, and I decided to go visit it. Once inside, the interior space gave out a boutique vive combining a welcoming retail gift shop with a professional designed studio. A friendly and sofisticated lady greeted me and talked to me about the shop as I walked around admiring the beautiful flower arrangements and gifts displays with very reasonable prices. I found out what some of their expertise were. They crafted fresh vibrant bouquets for birthdays, anniversaries, and romantic surprises. They also offered tasteful funeral, casket, and sympathy arrangements delivered locally. They are a premier full-service wedding florist serving not only Vinton, but also the Greater Roanoke, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, and Smith Mountain Lake regions. As a matter of fact, they have been recognized multiple times with "Best of Weddings" honors from The Knot for standout event execution. I had the privilege of meeting the owner of shop who was kindly enough to come out to greet and welcome me to his shop. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts and flower arrangements they have for sale and encourage you to give them your total support whenever you are in need of their services. They even provide local Same-Day Delivery for those times when you need the flowers to arrive right away.
