Glad I listened to them, because if I had listened to two of the reviews on this site, I would've been a lot more hesitant. I've been here 3 times so far - including 2 which were for procedures - with a final time coming in a few weeks. Each and every time the staff has been professional and the office has run timely appointments. I work in healthcare myself and see first hand out badly a lot of doctor's offices run behind - as a pt myself, it's utterly annoying to arrive on time for your appointment only to wait for a much longer period just to be seen. Here, the appointments have been generally on time - which is a welcome relief. The staff has been professional each time - from the receptionists in the front to Dr. Antony , who handled my procedures. Everything is clean. I didn't feel rushed and all my questions were answered. The waiting room is a good size with plenty of seating. There is a TV or two along with several choices of magazines - so if you're accompanying someone, you have stuff to occupy your time if you don't want to use your device. The building is deceptively larger than it appears in the front. Parking is street, but you're better off using a side street unless you get lucky enough to find a non metered spot on Williamsbridge Road. No one ever goes into a doctor's office for fun - it's hard to find a quality place out there who treats you the way you should be treated as a patient and gives you the treatment that you need. This place is one I will be going to from now on for any gastroenterology issues and is one I will recommend to others looking for this particular specialty.

He had left New York to practice medicine in a beautiful area of Florida, however, quite sadly he developed serious medical problems that will now forever prohibit him to administer that stellar service that I was a privy to for over a decade. During my meetings with him, Dr. Taverni caused me to take an immediate defensive position due to an irrelevant, inappropriate and judgmental line of questioning that served no purpose other than to satiate his own curiosity of who he (quite inaccurately) believed me to be, seemingly based on nothing more than my appearance. Dr. Taverni has obvious social/emotional issues that I'm convinced are directed only towards certain types of people. I'd hate to think he treats all his patients this horribly yet somehow manages to keep his job.

She took a great deal of time going over my tests and gave me her opinion as to care she would like to start, but also detailed what her expectations were and how long the treatment might last. She answered every question I had for her and for the first time in a long time, I felt that I really mattered. Do not get me wrong, I have several very great and qualified doctors who also show compassion, but this review is solely for Dr. Acquafredda alone and she deserves it. Perhaps some of the new doctors starting out would remember that patients rely on them for more than just their professional opinion Some patients are apprehensive and scared and would welcome a bit of kindness at difficult times. After waiting a while I was finally able to see Dr. Sayad at his Gramercy office. He took a few looks at me and knew what it was. which later after a smooth and quick endoscopy we confirmed it was exactly that. I have united health care PPO and the copay for the visit & everything was reasonable and no charges over the top. He did exactly what was expected. FOR THIS I REMOVE ONE STAR: ,y only complaints would be that he loves to talk as somoene said before and he overspends time with clients, which in turn pushs appointments back. Also his front desk staff, a few young girls, who I seen be rude to other guests and actually gave me attitude on the phone. I think the thing they need to realize is that people come in here or call in as I had are sick and a bit upset and we appreciate staff who can help calm and assure us not make situations harder then need be. I called in the appointed Friday(could not get through on the line untill the following Monday) for my test results only to be told they don't know where they are.. I call a few more times as i am feeling horrible and awaiting a solution. I did finally get them soon after, however, I would have expected the staff to be sensitive and not give attitude. Other than that I loved the place Dr. Sayad has an amazing beside manner and does the procedures himself and as it was my first procedure ever I was scareeedddd and it help to see his friendly face there during this time. I saw Dr. Sayad at his office in Gramercy Park in Manhattan and had a very good experience…read more He not only accepts Tri Care but when I told his receptionist that I didn't really understand how to use it her response was "that's ok, I will help you". When I left the same woman carefully explained each referral they had given me. I found his office staff to be warm and welcoming. Dr Sayad took his time speaking with me about my medical history and explained the test he thought I should have and why. Overall my experience was very positive and I plan to use him as my Primary Care as well as GI specialist indefinitely. There are two things to be aware of though when seeing Dr Sayad. First because he treats you like you are the only person he needs to see that day he runs behind. Like way behind, my appointment was at 12:30 and he saw me at 1:45. He is worth the wait and it's easier to deal with if you know going into it. Second, I don't know who she is but if you call on a Tuesday you have a good chance of speaking with a shockingly rude receptionist. I've gotten her twice and she has told me that he didn't take Tri Care (which he does) and another time asked "why didn't you think of this while you were here?!". That being said, it you bring a good book and call Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday you are golden!

Dr. Gruenspan - it appears - was once at the top of his discipline. His diagnoses are, for the…read moremost part, correct. He maybe a bit "trigger-happy' on ordering tests that should well be left for later on in the diagnostic process. He knows much and I'm sure still sincerely wishes to help his patients. Sometimes, though, he appears to be falling asleep while he types his notes onto his laptop. There is a problem: his staff. Too many doing not much of anything; anything purposeful that is. The Dr. is swamped with many patients; however, there is not any orderly manner in attending to them. His office is truly large enough to accommodate the numbers of patients without any difficulty. The also has difficulty with data entry into the patient's medical demographics system. The patients critical data such as age, address, social security numbers etc. are always entered wrong. This causes problems for the insurance carriers (patients are then held responsible for bills that would normally be paid by insurance). The staff refuses to acknowledge their errors and are rude (that, itself, is an understatement). When test result come back positive for serious illness, the staff never gets in touch with the patients. They may mail these critical results with a delay of 2 to 4 weeks. Most of the time - due to address issues (mentioned above) - you never receive the results. It is almost impossible to contact the Dr. directly. The good Dr., himself, is over-worked and his patients files are left strewn all over his office in piles which are falling over and sometimes block the entrance to his office. I am sincerely disappointed in the overall service and changed physicians.
