This is a highly respected doctor. A trustworthy, compassionate, thorough and gifted diagnostician. When the wait time is 15-30 minutes, I know full well she is taking her time with examining the patient and exploring every avenue of cause and treatment. I have been a patient for over 15 years and recommended her to numerous family members and friends....each of whom are highly satisfied.

I was seen by a nurse practioner who gave me some tips none of them were helpful. They recommended me endoscopic proceedure for which They charged me 1000 dollars upfront , I paid that money in cash in good faith. They billed my insurance and Later they send me bill of 265 dollars as my deductible. I called several times to clarify the issue that office has already charged me 1000 dollars and each time they said that I still have to pay the amount. Frustrated with their staff I called up my insurance and asked for clarification,they told me that the doctor office is in contract with the insurance and they are not suppose to charge you the amount. The kind insurance lady made a three way call and clinic staff admitted that they are at fault and THEY OWE ME THE MONEY. So this is the case of over billing and fraud billing which is not resolved till date . I never recieved my money back which should roughly between500 to 700 dollars. Other PT places I've succumbed to have been marked by tension in the air because the friendliness is superficial, the smiles glued on. Or the young PT staff gave me an exercise with a number of repetitions and then huddled in the corner to talk sports and their recent weekend frolics. Not so here: I feel an improvement and where I used to go home feeling depleted and pessimistic, I walk out of RSPT feeling stronger and hopeful. And aside from the congenial atmosphere, the exercises I've been asked (very sweetly) to do make sense. I don't see other patients given identical routines: the place is more like a cheerful gathering of neighbors (for a common purpose) than a factory. Tomorrow is my last visit of 2025, because Medicare will only cover 28 visits in a twelve-month period. My enthusiasm for this practice and the people in it has only increased. The atmosphere is friendly without artifice, not the professional friendliness of people who would really rather you go away so they can continue chatting about last night's sports event. You might not notice it if you knew me six months ago, but I feel stronger and more mobile. This is not, I assure you, because I religiously do the exercises at home. (Long pause here.) But it is because the people I work with, especially Francy, Melissa, now and again Alex, Hannah, and Annabelle, have understood what exercises might help me and have guided me through them. The pleasantness begins at the front desk: Arlinda, Madeline, Michael -- all genuinely solicitous and humane. I think they understand that people come to PT with a certain amount of pain, impairment, and the accompanying embarrassment. Because of the gentle-spirited, light-hearted owner, Alex Sherman, the feeling of uncritical welcoming acceptance is felt all through the practice. I am sad to leave -- it feels like the last day of summer camp -- but I hope to be back in 2026.

I'd been traveling between boroughs for years, but…read moreduring COVID, my old PCP refused to open his doors and would turn away patients, having his receptionists tell us to go to urgent care, no matter what the issue. I just needed a physical, but was turned away. It was then that I finally made the leap to a new doctor (long overdue). I found Dr. Mannam's office and was happy to report that this far, he is a doctor that follows up with my care and is generally kind and provides prompt feedback regarding my health. He ends every visit with a hug (not in a creepy way), and it is refreshing given that my other doctor was so impersonal. At Dr. Mannam's, you feel cared for. Sometimes the reception desk gets overcrowded and it could take a while to be acknowledged, but I just wait patiently, sign in and then approach when someone is free. When I have an appointment, I'm glad to say that I haven't had to wait longer than 15-20 minutes to be seen. Other offices I've been to, I've had to wait 1-2 hours even WITH an appointment! Without an appointment, I've waited up to two hours as this office is popular in the neighborhood. Hope this review helps. Even with the risk of overcrowding his office, I would recommend Dr. Mannam.

I called beforehand because I knew I'd have to book a round-trip and didn't want to risk doing that for no reason. I showed up to the location and everything was beautiful and clean and all staff members from the entrance to the upstairs desk were absolute sweethearts. I spoke to the woman at the desk who told me there would be a (pretty hefty) charge that I was, in no way, anticipating and when I inquired as to what I was told the morning of about my insurance covering my visit, no one owned up to speaking to me/telling me this. I wasn't a fan of this part. However, the woman I was speaking to was very apologetic and even offered information of other locations that might be able to offer financial assistance which I appreciated. Cut to today's visit : I ended up having to come back because the provided places didn't offer any assistance after all and ultimately, I just felt the most comfortable at Dr. Emily's office considering how they handled our previous encounter. The women who took my blood work was INCREDIBLY informative, the woman who provided me a quick exam before seeing the doctor was AMAZINGLY comforting in my concerns and fears and Dr. Park was the ABSOLUTE sweetest in how he walked me through everything, what to expect and even gave me a care package. I couldn't have had a better hand to hold through all of this and recommend them highly.

In late April, I went in for a procedure. The nurses were wonderful and took great care of me no complaints there. However, at my follow-up two weeks later (which I chose to do with my own GYN), I was told the procedure done at Dr. Emily's clinic was incomplete. I immediately called the clinic to ask if I could speak with Dr. Park directly to understand what happened during my procedure. The receptionist told me no, and instead offered for me to come in for a second procedure and speak with a counselor. Seriously? After going through something so difficult, the only solution they had was for me to repeat the procedure? My GYN strongly advised against a second procedure due to the risk of scarring, and instead recommended medication which I ultimately followed. I truly have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. Go at your own risk, but I personally will never recommend this clinic to anyone.

I went there for a COVID-19 PCR swab a few weeks ago during the height of the Omicron COVID-19…read moresurge in late December 2021. On the outside of the facility, it clearly states that COVID-19 PCR tests are free! I filled out paperwork, the staff copied my photo ID and insurance card. I asked "why are you taking a copy of my insurance card when the tests are free?" The staff couldn't give me an answer. I did the COVID-19 PCR swab within 2 minutes, then before I left, the staff notified me that the results would be ready in 3 days. Fast forward to January 2022, I receive an explanation of benefits from my insurance company stating that Dr. A Chaudhury, and NYC Docs billed my insurance $400 doctors for a visit that never happened. My insurance wants me to pay $350. All I did was a COVID-19 swab, a quick walk-in service that is advertised for free. I never saw a doctor!!! I also received another Explanation of Benefits for the lab that NYC Docs uses, which is called Lincoln Labs that is located in Elizabeth, New Jersey! The lab charged my insurance $560 and I'm expected to pay $470 out of pocket! This is a absurd I never filled out a patient responsibility payment form, disclosing that my insurance will be charged for an out of network doctors visit that never happened, or use a lab that is also out of network from my insurance, that is located in New Jersey, a state I don't live in. I live in the neighborhood, and I live in the Bronx, New York. What is also absurd is that they advertise clearly outside if NYC Docs that COVID-19 PCR test are free, but the facility is billing the insurance of all of the patients that come in for swabs! I went into the office also in January 2022, and staff took my information after I complained of the charges billed to my insurance. I spoke to the head doctor, a receptionist, and a biller. I also sent the information by email and was assured my issue would be handled, and it's now February and no one has gotten back to me. I have now called the NY State department of health to complain about insurance fraud and to start an investigation of the shady business practices from their facility and the lab that they use. I have also have called the fraud department of my insurance company to start an investigation. Don't advertise a free service such as a COVID-19 test and bill someone's insurance thousands of dollars for something that is supposed to be free. And don't bill for a doctors visit when it never happened.
