Great practice. I…read morewas recommended this place by more than one person who I trust, so I came here without hesitation. Glad I listened to them, because if I had listened to two of the reviews on this site, I would've been a lot more hesitant. I've been here 3 times so far - including 2 which were for procedures - with a final time coming in a few weeks. Each and every time the staff has been professional and the office has run timely appointments. I work in healthcare myself and see first hand out badly a lot of doctor's offices run behind - as a pt myself, it's utterly annoying to arrive on time for your appointment only to wait for a much longer period just to be seen. Here, the appointments have been generally on time - which is a welcome relief. The staff has been professional each time - from the receptionists in the front to Dr. Antony , who handled my procedures. Everything is clean. I didn't feel rushed and all my questions were answered. The waiting room is a good size with plenty of seating. There is a TV or two along with several choices of magazines - so if you're accompanying someone, you have stuff to occupy your time if you don't want to use your device. The building is deceptively larger than it appears in the front. Parking is street, but you're better off using a side street unless you get lucky enough to find a non metered spot on Williamsbridge Road. No one ever goes into a doctor's office for fun - it's hard to find a quality place out there who treats you the way you should be treated as a patient and gives you the treatment that you need. This place is one I will be going to from now on for any gastroenterology issues and is one I will recommend to others looking for this particular specialty.

She's old school and meeting her standards ain't easy. Dr. Warman is the best internist on the Eastern seaboard. His front office staff does a great job managing the patient load. The result: almost no waiting time (15 minutes MAXIMUM) at his office. He has a great referral network. Oh yeah, and he's Steve Guttenberg. He's affable yet efficient, good- humored, and he takes your health and privacy seriously. When he has test results for you, including and especially STD/STI/venereal disease tests, he himself calls you. If you don't pick up, then he leaves you a message telling you to call him back, but doesn't leave the results of the tests themselves in the message. Those he ALWAYS gives you over the phone or in person. He delivers the good news briskly, and you feel he is as happy and relieved as you were. I've also seen him deliver the uncertain or bad news with kindness and understanding, spending hours with her and her family, discussing which option would be the better one. It was a contentious proceeding, but he handled it with diplomacy. professionalism and patience. The process lasted for several hours, concluding in a major decision that prolonged the patient's life. He has embraced the latest technology and pioneered an easy check-in process that streamlines the provision of patient information including insurance.

Upon entry the medical assistant was pleasant and kind on the first floor. On the second floor the staff was effective and efficient in explaining and assisting the documents that needed to be signed. Even to the non English speaking ppl I noticed. The third floor was difficult! The nurse/phlebotomist couldn't find my vein for the IV and even as I said remove it I'm in pain continued to poke and pry around for a vein. Eventually having to move to the next hand where he did it again until I threatened to pop him and he called for nurse leelee for assistance. Surgery was quick and I am fine I had dr setilo he was great and had very good bed side mannerisms. The assistant assigned to me was DISGUSTING! For lack of better wordsThe trouble begin when I awoke! I got myself dressed and patiently waiting for transportation. Once I got in I begin looking for my personal belongings and that's when the drama begin. My earrings was missing out of my authentic Gucci fanny pack( which ppl that knows know that nothing falls out of that bag! They claim the earrings fell out out all my dimes Pennies nicked and quarters was still in my bagfull of shit! Told me they didn't see them nd I couldn't go up to look for myself! So injured right knee and all I went up spoke to a supervisor he let me in and I found one earring on top of the lockers where the personal property goes! Thing is I'm 5'4 and I was nowhere near those lockers I used pocket number one! I found both earrings and missed my ride! So now I get both my earrings back and decided to go through my medications. It's documented they gave me 5 medications but the sealed bag only has 4 medications and instructions for 5! The one medication that's missing is the only medication I truly need it's for infection and bacteriaand it's missing just like my earrings! Spoke to the same lady that said I couldn't go get my earrings and she came back with a prescription I assume I'm supposed to get filled post op? Go to a pharmacy while I should be resting? So the choice is always yours but I wouldn't send a wounded roach to this facility. I wish I could give them double 0 stars but one will have to suffice

*This review is for the cafeteria only.*…read more This is a large hospital and the area is sometimes referred to as Montefiore Country, since there are quite a lot of offices connected to this hospital for several blocks. Opinions vary on the actual hospital and while I'm sure some aspects are quite good, others are probably not. For example, if my intestines were hanging out, I'd probably attempt to put them back in myself rather than go inside this ER. In fact, you're probably healthier OUTSIDE Monte ER's than inside. If you want to spend an average of 12 or more hours, want to be uncomfortable, and risk sickness, then the ER is for you. But I digress. I sometimes work in the area and decided to change up my lunch options and try the cafeteria - knowing that it IS a hospital cafeteria in the first place. Depending on the time you go, you may or may not find seating - but there is plenty of it during a less crowded time. They do clean, but it's not as frequent as they should. It's very spacious, so you don't have to sit next to anyone if you prefer not to. There is also a charging station for your devices inside here. The food itself ranges, but most is decent - the problem is the selection. Montefiore is a Jewish hospital, so the food is always prepared Kosher. Plus Montefiore is on their "health" kick, so you won't get the best beverage selection inside (unless you find the gift shop) and only what they deem as healthy (water, oj, diet/sugar free soda, etc). They go hard sometimes on their vegan specialties, so even if you're not a vegan have fun. Depending on when you go, they have pre-made sandwiches available. Again, Montefiore prepares the way they deem it and not how a lot of others would normally like it, so be prepared. They do have a deli inside, but I haven't tried it yet to see the difference. The hot food menu is different daily and sometimes the options are decent. They also have a salad bar, but it lacks during less busy times. The staff is usually ok. They have more than enough condiments to satisfy most. It's a little pricier than they have any right to be, but due to the limitations of food choices in the area, it's sometimes a safe bet and worth spending the extra few cents to eat a little healthier (when I want to Monte, not when YOU want to) at times. Also some of the businesses in the area don't have adequate seating for lunch options, so this is where the added value (to me) is. Parking is horrendous. The area is busy and the main streets are metered. There is plenty of signage for alternate side and just general no parking, so unless you're on foot or use mass transit and are going to be in the area anyway, I'd never come here just for this place. Again, I sometimes work in the area, so it's ok for me. Monte's parking garages are often full and overcharge (even for employees). So say what you will about the actual hospital and it's surrounding facilities, but as far as their cafeteria goes, it isn't a bad choice in the area at times.
