I have dealt with many orthodontists but he will always be my favorite…read more He's thorough but not pushy. He'll let you know what you need THEN any cosmetic options that you may want; but he doesn't make you feel like you have to have that done. What was most important to me is when he would tell his technicians what to do with my braces once they finish he ALWAYS came back to check they had banded them correctly or whatever else he may have told them to do. Unlike my current orthodontist, yes shame on me for settling for convenience rather than quality, who tells the tech what to do and never verifies it was done correctly. That I know of I've already had three mistakes made with my current orthodontist. The bad thing is these mistakes are not caught until after I've had them in my mouth incorrectly for a month and a half to two months. So if you're looking for quality and just a great orthodontist I highly recommend Brian Hollis.

I had an appointment at 2:40. When I made the appointment I specifically asked if I would be…read morefinished in time to make a 4:00 appointment elsewhere. The receptionist asked that I be there by 2:30 to "fill out paperwork." At 2:32 when I arrived there was no other patient in the waiting room. I filled out one form and provided my insurance cards. I was then told that the hygienist had "taken another patient" and I would not be finished in time to make my appointment. I was told that I should reschedule. I asked to speak to the dentist and then I was told that the dentist would do my cleaning and I would be done in time. After being taken back by a dental assistant and x-rayed, I was then informed that the hygienist would see me after all. An older and very heavy set woman introduced herself as the hygienist. I asked her why she was 40 minutes late for my appointment and she rudely shrugged her shoulders and said "I decided to take another patient first." She smelled bad and was not at all gentle in cleaning my teeth. She then squirted water all over my face and tried to downplay her obvious incompetence and rudeness. There is no chance whatsoever I will ever let that unprofessional, rude woman near my mouth again. On the other hand Dr. Mayer seemed very nice and competent. The young dental assistant was also nice and seemed very good at her job. Perhaps Dr. Mayer should look into hiring a new hygienist because the one he has is horrible at her job and very rude and nasty too.

Everyone from this office was friendly, personable and cheerful. The work i received was far…read moresuperior than any other dentist office that I have ever been to. Example, Dr. Leanne Smith took these macro images of my teeth and gums and took the time to explain what is wrong and options to help remedy the situation. These images were not xrays(which they also took) but rather real time up close images with a precision micro camera that was the size of an pencil eraser. I was never apprehensive and all the staff was very professional. The projected dental plan was also reasonable, more so than the other dental offices in the area. Like my grandfather told me, "never talk bad about someone." so, i will NOT talk about all the other dentists in the area. But i will definitely talk about the Doctors, Gayle Sanchez and Leanne Smith. They are good people with a even greater staff.
