I've recently engaged the services of Michael Laffoley to quote me on an extension on my house. So far he's been friendly and helpful and, unlike several of the other builders whom we've spoken to, has been keen to offer advice and how we might go about doing the job in a way that will safe us time, money and hassle. I'm looking forward to getting the final quote from him and for us to, hopefully, commence the work on the house. The reason I went to him in the first place was because I saw the work he has done on a friend's house. The new kitchen extension was (to my untrained eyes, anyway) done to an extremely high standard and my friend and his wife were delighted with the work. We asked Michael to come in and quote for a kitchen extension and from that point on knew we had the right builder.. He is very professional and arrived punctually to do the quote.. The quote came through within the time frame he had indicated and we were pleasantly surprised on the cost.. On being given a start date, his team arrived the day before to drop off the equipment needed and the following day Michael and his guys turned up, nice an early.. Initially we were given a 12 week time frame from start to completion, however this was done within 9-10weeks.. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, every day and kept the area and house as clean as possible during the build stages with minimal disruption to the rest of the house, (had to come through house to get to rear where extension was as we had no access to rear of property other than through the house). The whole experience was positive, with all of his team who were involved and they were all very knowledgeable about what has to be done and when and any uncertainty on what we wanted was discussed in advance..
