I had already skipped a March appointment because of pandemic fears, but Mint Dental made me feel safe because of the amount of precautions they were taking. Before my appointment, I waited in my car (the waiting room is closed for safety) and they let me know by phone when it was safe to enter. When I first walked in the building, I was asked a series of questions to make sure I have not been exposed to the virus in the last 14 days. All the staff in the building were wearing masks, but my hygienist and the dentist both wore N95-grade masks and face shields while they worked on my teeth. In addition to this, all the surfaces in my exam room I touched were covered in replaceable plastic and they had a HEPA-air filter constantly cleaning out the air. If you have been putting off a dental appointment because of the pandemic, Mint Dental is doing their absolute best to make it safe for you. Brittani always does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Lauren got my retainer situation taken care of quickly during my cleaning visit. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

I can live with thatto some extend. I find out from my insurance company they are no longer in my network, hence the higher bill. They didnt tell me I was no longer in their network. If they didnt know they should have because they acted as is they verified with my insurance company and provided an estimate based on that. Not ok. - You should've notified me when I made a visti to your office. Excuses don't excuse the issue at hand. You're not in my network so why even mention my insurance as the problem? I got no insurance relief and you knew that was going to be the issue before you did the work and that's not ok. I don't know what you mean I hung up on you. I never purposely hung up on you. You could've sent me a text or email like you do with other issues. It doesn't make sense. If you were in my dental network your argument would make sense but you're not.

I think I found my new dental place to go! First need to say…read moreI have Severe dental anxiety after having 4 impact wisdom teeth removed in 2015. The people I went to yes did great but the bedside manners needs some improvement and didn't check up on me to be sure the infected wisdom tooth at the time wasn't getting worse. The staff at Aspen Dental on 41st went above and beyond to make sure I'd calm down explaining possibilities and offered payment plans to numb my gums before any work was done. With my experience that was new to me they made sure what I needed came first. After cleaning and one filling they asked when would be a good time for me to come back in. Sadly with my current work hours it's hard to get any appointments in but they sat down with me looked around on the calendar and told me if anything happened to give a call or go on the website to see when I could reschedule so it's great to see they can be flexible with me!! They were very patient with me when my anxiety kicked in, worked with scheduling, but they were up front with me and about my oral health and what improvements were needed. They didn't throw any gimmicks, no sugarcoating, just straight up answers and habits I needed for myself. I can't wait again to see them again if they continue what they are doing now!!

Long story-short: Please do not trust this office with your family's dental care…read more Long story: I had multiple bad experiences at Healthy Smiles that ultimately led me to lose trust in their care. During a routine checkup, I was told I needed two fillings--one on tooth #19, which had a visible hole. Dr. Ross was unexpectedly out, so another doctor made that call and didn't even look twice or mention the visible hole or any of the scans. The earliest filling appointment was again with a different doctor, Dr. Reeder, not my usual provider. After looking at my X‑rays, several family friends who are dentists and their colleagues advised me to request a 3D scan (CBCT) of tooth #19 because it looked like it might need a root canal before being filled. When I brought this up to Dr. Reeder at my appointment, I was first told Healthy Smiles didn't have the capability to do a CBCT 3D scan. Later in the same appointment, I was told they could now do it--but it wasn't covered by insurance, would cost over $200, and they would have to send the scan out because they couldn't read it in‑house. I could tell they didn't want to do the scans in the first place so they told me they didn't have the capability at first. At that point, I no longer trusted them to perform or interpret any additional imaging. Due to the concerning visible hole in my #19 tooth, I proceeded with both fillings and asked for a referral to an endodontist. I was told to make it clear to the endodontist specialist that Dr. Reeder did not believe the scans were necessary and was not referring me, which I found weird. I'm trying to be preventative and cautious with my teeth, I only get one set for life. I'd rather get follow up and confirm there isn't an issue than finding out too late. The fillings and bite adjustments or lack there-of were poorly done, given I was numb on both sides of my mouth. I had severe pain from tooth #19 hitting first, and I had to return more than twice for bite adjustments. On my third visit--scheduled specifically for bite correction--I arrived at 8:30 AM only to be told Dr. Ross refused to see me because she felt I was unhappy with previous adjustments. Instead of helping me, they told me I'd need to wait another week until Dr. Reeder returned, despite the fact that I was in pain and had taken time off work to be seen. If a doctor believes another provider should correct their work, it is basic professionalism to notify the patient ahead of time. Healthy Smiles requires 24 hours or more notice from patients to cancel or reschedule, yet I received only a text at 8:03 AM--unseen before I arrived--informing me that I needed to reschedule. At the very least, the office should attempt to call the patient. I canceled all future appointments for myself and my husband. I cannot trust this office to perform even a simple filling, adjust a bite correctly, or provide care and compassion when a patient is in obvious pain. I have never needed this many follow‑ups for a filling, ever... and my tooth still hurts.
