Joe is warm, personable and my husband and I have always really liked him. In 2017 however we received a notification from the IRS that we owed money dating back to 2015. Joe stated that he wanted to submit more documentation to IRS and helped us draft letters to challenge these claims. I requested my W2S again and we resubmitted. Joe also advised us to file an extension on our 2017 taxes, lest the IRS garnish our return to pay our debts. Now it is 2018 and interest charges have skyrocketed my charges. The investigation into my debts either never took place, or were unsuccessful. All the advice Joe gave me was completely incorrect. I am especially disappointed in Joe because he has lied to and manipulated my husband who is not business savvy, and truly believed that Joe was our friend. I am in the process of buying another home, and all this confusion could certainly jeopardize our financial future. He has been laxadasical, careless, and downright irresponsible. I feel I should have dealt with the IRS directly. I was completely misguided by this guy. And I will likely be audited for years to come due to his incompetence. I still don't fully understand what transpired due to his incessant double talk. I definitely would not recommend him.

At the time, I'd been widowed young and then-recently, this legal matter came out of nowhere, and I was majorly financially outgunned by the other party in what became a year and a half long effort to purchase my house. (We finally closed on December 22nd, 2021.) Other reviewers seem to not realize lawyers are very frequently out of the office doing closings and transactions. Personally, I found his office to ALWAYS be responsive -- and he took time out to personally reassure me when I was worried, discouraged, or confused. Given the length of the transaction (solely due to the other party's delays), that happened a lot, and I needed quite a bit of guidance (even with basic elements, as I was a first-time homebuyer). Many high-stress complications arose (again, due to the other party's actions), and the peace of mind in knowing that I was represented kept me sane. When I first called him, I had very little hope anyone could achieve the desired outcome under the circumstances, or that I'd be able to buy my house -- which is my dream house and the only house I've ever lived in with my late husband. But they insured me with UPC with my personal name. 3 month later I told them I have tenants move in. then they told UPC don't insure LLC.(Paid whole year), she changed to Utica for LLC,(paid whole year). 1 month later, they told me Utica don't have renter's policy. then changed to Kingstone, I received a bill form Kingstone, while I am still paying Utica policy during the same time period. She canceled Utica policy. a month later I didn't get refund. I called Utica the girl told me the check mailed out a week ago, and sent to a wrong address.
