I see Dr. Giang for treatments related to knee pain, lower back pain, and arm/shoulder pain. Yup. I'm a basket case. Knee treatments are related to post-surgery meniscus repair. Lower back adjustments and treatments related to both misalignment and minor nerve impingement causing a light tingling on bottoms of feet. Arm/shoulder treatments followed surgery to repair a broken arm. Dr. Giang connects his chiropractic treatments to both in-house Therapeutic Thai massage and acupuncture. Dr. Michael is heaven sent. I had ACL reconstruction surgery. I went to a really terrible physical therapist for 4 months and I had a problem with muscle atrophy. There was a lot of congestion in the middle of my thigh from the immobilizer knee brace. That was preventing me from getting better. I went to Dr. Michaels office with my boyfriend and he noticed me limping. He told me to come in and see him and told me he could help me. He genuinely cares about all of his patients. Yes, the treatment was extremely painful, but it it wasn't for him I would not have been able to return to playing basketball. Dr. Giang and his office crew is awesome. I don't know if you have ever experienced so much pain that it hurts to be awake. Whatever it was he did for me, it worked and it worked quickly. I have always thought that chiros were all hype but he really changed my life. Dr.Giang is hands down the best chiropractor I've ever been to. I suffer from migraines and typically you wouldn't think of going to a chiropractor...I just felt helpless and always self medicated with excedrin and other pain killers. We were recommended to Dr Giang by my sister, and boy was she right!! This doctor is nice and it seems like everyone loves him but I had a very bad experience here 2 to 3 years ago. I went in here with a minor neck strain. For about 2 weeks, I got neck adjustments 2 to 3 times a week. At first I felt great but soon after noticed that I kept on getting a crackling sound every time I would turn my neck. I also received aches and pains in my neck. Till this day I am suffering from chronic neck pain. I was diagnosed with myofascial by a specialist at Kaiser. The doctor told me that my condition was most likely caused by trauma from the adjustment. I've been hesitant with rating Dr Giang because he was such a nice guy and seems to really have good intentions but I have to tell my story. The constant pain that I have is not fun and I've spent thousands of time and money trying to fix it with acupuncture, message therapy and physical therapy. He gives very gentle adjustments (I was a chiropractor virgin before him) and can grind out scar tissue (gently - but definitely not painlessly!) like no other. Dr. Michael is the epitome of a professional, caring chiropractor. The first time I saw him was way back 4 years ago after my lawyer sent me to his office after a whiplash injury. As soon as he did my adjustment in the neck, I felt immediate relief from the excruciating pain. Just like magic. I always tell him he has gifted hands. He has helped me in managing my Diabetes. After a stressful week working in the hospital, my blood sugar will be off. A few adjustments, and I'm back to normal. I always tell him like Humpty Dumpty he put me back together again. I had hand surgery and I'm scheduled to have another hand surgery but, he told me no more hand surgery for me. That was two years ago. Every time it flares up, a few adjustment, ultrasound, I'm good.
