Dr Homer and his staff were able to get me in for evaluation and treatment of tooth pain at 6 am this morning! I was in such pain, and now 12 hours later am having no pain, headache, or earache that were all being caused by an abscessed tooth under a crown. He explained every test/X-ray as he reviewed them. He was very conversant and stayed in the room as he waited for the anesthetic to take effect. I know people aren't out shopping for a root canal, but it is so important to have specialists available who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and friendly, helping to put you at ease. A lot of hidden fees. I was quoted the same procedure from Dr. Richard Allen, who was out of net work and the out-of-pocket price was the same give or take $50. Not to mention I've had five root canals and this was the worst one. A lot of residual pain. My crown continues to fall off for the fourth time, but these ones were the only one and net work. And after I paid them $900. I get a bill two months later for another 50 after they charge my insurance company almost 2000 $ Way over priced. The only positive was Dr. himself called me personally to see how I was doing later that day, which I've never had before. I would not go again. read more

Had to go here for a root canal under a crown, Dr Homer belittled his staff during the entire procedure. Charged an additional $600 for the procedure than what was quoted (original quote was $1200 ) and did a terrible job on the root canal. I went back for a followup and was told that I needed to pay additional fee to complete the root canal because it "didnt take" but they offered to help with the interest for 6 months if I use credit care (who offers 6 month no interest anyway) This place is a scam...dont go here. read more

One star because I had called to set up an appointment for a root canal and I also had my xrays sent to them which were taken a couple weeks prior. I did not receive a call back at all, I waited a week. But, nothing so I called again, I got no explanation as to why they didn't call me back. Not very costumer friendly. Anyway, I planned on paying out of pocket for a this procedure of around $1600.00 But, was told I would have to pay even more, because they wanted to do their own x-rays and they would charge me around $430.00 added to the $1600.00 okay not a problem, money isn't really a factor, it was more because I didn't feel valued or welcomed as a soon to be patient of theirs. Thats what took me else where. With that being said I did find a dentistry where they gladly accepted my xrays and scheduled me for a root canal that same day, and I was even able to speak directly with the endodontist. Arrogant. Uncommunicative. Developed problem after root canal. Wouldn't return my call. Had office person call me 3 days later and ask what I wanted. By that time, had already seen someone else. Very expensive. read more

Dr . Homer and his team made me feel extremely comfortable during my Endodontics journey. I felt cared for every step of the process and they did an amazing job explaining every part of the procedure I was having. His team was able to get me in right away after a tooth emergency even though they were fully booked. I deal with extreme anxiety with a normal dentist and they took that into consideration during their care plan and made my experience very easy and helped me feel comforted during this process. I had severe tooth pain while on vacation and needed urgent care. The entire staff was friendly and helpful during my appointment. Dr Homer explained in detail my tooth issues and covered the options. The procedure, the concern for my comfort, and the effort to keep me informed of all procedures was superb. They made arrangements to send my regular dentist the updated care and even called me to see how I was doing the next day. I wish his practice was located in my town. My dentist referred me here for my root canal. I ended up having to go in a few days before my scheduled appointment because of the pain and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. However, I ended up waiting TWO hours, without any update unless I asked for one, and not much of an apology from the dr. except for, "You know, your appointment wasn't until Monday, so we wanted to help you out and get you in right away." I was very patient through the entire wait and not rude at all to the staff. I sat in the waiting room for at least an hour before I finally asked the front desk if I was going to be seen & she said "Oh yeah, I was just going to go check." Sat for 10-15 minutes longer & someone brought me back to an exam room....where I sat for ANOTHER hour (at least). The dr. treated me like he was doing me a favor by still completing my root canal at 6:15pm, even though they should've been going home. While this was nice, I would have much preferred communication about the delay, maybe a med for the pain until my scheduled appointment, and the opportunity to reschedule. I missed an hour and a half of work for no reason. Very frustrating. They didn't negotiate the price with me at all and it was nearly $400 more expensive than my last root canal a few years prior (at a different place). I called to see if they would extend the promo period on my CareCredit due because it was 6 months less than I had gotten before & she said they would not because "the interest gets to be expensive for the dr." I was very disappointed in the service and the way all of it was handled, as well as their refusal to bend at all with the price. I felt I should have at least gotten a discount for the inconvenience, regardless of when my "scheduled" appointment was. While I hope to not have any more root canals, if I do, I will not be returning to Tri-State. read more
