Ruben and the rest of the OCX…read moretraining staff are very knowledgable when it comes to baseball skills & techniques, and most importantly they are extremely good at teaching them how to perform the fundamental skills safely to prevent injury. My husband and I not only appreciate what the coaches know, but we are also continually impressed that the coaches are good teachers and offer constructive & positive re-enforcement, and that they're tough-love kind of coaches. You can know a lot and be a crappy teacher, but that's not the case with these guys! While the facility offers cage time, private lessons, and group & team training - our sons have had the privilege to play on their OCX Baseball Academy teams. From a parents point of view, our boys have learned a lot from being on these teams. They fully understand the concept of "earned" playing time now. We are grateful for less of the political "BS" that goes on in the local rec leagues - and even more grateful to not be experiencing "Daddy ball" or "coach Dad" anymore.

Our son, now 14, has grown tremendously in all aspects, not just as a baseball player but as an overall athlete and young man. Our daughter plays D1 softball at UNO and her favorite hitting coach has always been Austin. He spent time with her weekly all through high school to help her improve her swing. She tries to get in a few sessions whenever she is in town. Austin is not only a knowledgeable and professional coach but he is a fantastic role model for players, both on and off the field. He always has our kids' best interest at heart and is able to motivate them to always stride to be better and work harder. Austin's positive attitude and leadership is respectable and we truly appreciate how our 3 kids look up to him.

Lyric and I have a blast running the homework drills that Coach Austin teaches us to do while we're at home so that we can always be working hard and practicing together and it brings us together as a mother and son. Coach Austin told me that it was a coach that he had that changed his entire life and his direction with baseball and I truly believe that that has been a game changer here for my son as well and I am very grateful to the skill set and the patience and the heart This guy brings to the table for these kids. If you got a kiddo that has passion for the game and wants to polish his skills and develop and grow I highly recommend reaching out to Coach Austin and getting into work it's worth it!!!
